The app works poorly. It is impossible to get warranty service if the device breaks down; the manufacturer does not take responsibility, does not respond, and ignores inquiries.
I bought 9 devices; one of them does not work at all, and I was unable to return it.
My Venus E 3.0 (firmware V148) failed: the state of charge dropped vertically from ~50% to 0% on 25 May and it no longer charges - 0W into the battery even on a forced 800W charge, with the red WARN LED (Device fault per the manual). Factory reset and power-cycle did not help. A BLE read of the unit (cross-checked on two independent tool builds) shows the comms module, EMS and inverter all report fine, but BMS Version = 0 and pack voltage 0.00V - i.e. the controller has lost all communication with the BMS, an internal hardware fault. My 10-year manufacturer warranty is activated. The in-app assistant only loops a canned "communication module is fine" reply and will not escalate to a human. I have now contacted support by email and am documenting the timeline here; I will update this review when Marstek resolves it. Posting factually to ask for a prompt RMA on a clearly internal fault.
Great products until they go wrong then the support is useless. Supplier guarantee also a waste of time. You are on your own. Beware.
This company is a joke. They’ve delivered a Jupiter plus with 2nd battery in one month. It came with issues on recognizing the 2nd battery. They’ve delivered a replacement battery with same issue to realize after that can be sorted out with a firmware update. It took me 2 months to resolve the problem and another 2 months to send them back de replaced battery. Their customer service is a disaster. The app is very basic and even if it came with a smart meter I have to manually stop the consumption during winter as it is not smart enough to not discharge it to less than 10%. The loss of generating power from solar to battery is high. You would get better money value with a microinvertor without a battery. You will never cover the cost for a marstek battery which is expensive with worst customer support I’ve ever seen.
