It was a good experience and l would use them again. The only thing stopping five stars was the down loading of V5C and service records wasn’t easy to do
Still waiting..........
Good afternoon Motorway.
You have sent two emails demanding payment. Be advised. The car has not been collected. DMN have yet to collect this vehicle. On each date that has been arranged and we have made arrangements to be at home, they have cancelled. Whilst the vehicle "sold" on the 22nd of August, it remains on our drive and no payment has been received.
Pleasantly pleased with the process and price received.
Got a competitive price for the car.
The process was simple, except for where I complicated it but helpline were very helpful.
We previously sold a car through we buy…
We previously sold a car through we buy any car and it went very smoothly so we expected something similar this time around but we decided to use motorway as we got a slightly better price estimate. It was a mistake as the buyer was incredibly unprofessional, aggressive and didn’t appear to understand how cars worked.
We have since sold our car through carwow where the buyer was professional, checked the car thoroughly and said there were no faults, and the sale went through without a hitch. This cemented our belief that the buyer from motorway was completely out of order which is why I’m writing this review.
Firstly we got a call from someone who couldn’t speak English and just kept shouting kona at us. The confirmation finally came through in a text message saying they would pick the car up a week later despite us asking for it to be picked asap.
They said they would turn up at 2pm but turned up at around 5pm instead which was frustrating and immediately started attacking the car saying they wanted to reduce the price. They were saying extremely stupid things such as the electric battery was only 93% effective and it should be 100% as all electric cars had their batteries made back to new at every service. We told them they were wrong but he’d already started asking for thousands off the price. We looked it up afterwards and a 6 year old kona should have a battery effectiveness of between 85% and 92% so our battery was actually in really good shape.
They also had a go at us as we hadn’t charged the car to 100% but they hadn’t asked us to so how were we to know what they wanted.
They then took it for a test drive and they kept asking me what the speed limit was as they couldn’t seem to understand the road signs which was questionable.
They told us that because the coolant was below max there must be a leak. We pointed out it hadn’t been topped up for a year but he was adamant there was an issue and asked for even more money off.
They then tested the heating and kept saying it wasn’t working. Firstly they kept switching it off and then when I stopped them doing that, I pointed out it was temperature controlled and only went up to 27 degrees in the car and it was 25 degrees outside so the heat would be limited. They repeated it didn’t work and asked for even more of a reduction so we asked them to leave.
We got a call as soon as they left from motorway saying that there was a price reduction on our car but we said that we’d asked them to leave so we weren’t accepting that. We then asked if we could relist it but motorway said no as there were issues reported. We then continued to get angry calls from the buyer saying there were even more issues which we ignored.
I would never recommend motorway as they don’t appear to verify their buyers leaving you open to their abuse and motorway always take their side. Their lies could have made it really difficult for us to sell the car and motorway should not allow vindictive, money grabbing buyers to try and blackmail the sellers into selling their car for less than it’s worth.
The reason I’ve given 2 stars is because the website process worked ok.
A Really Good Experience!
Everyone was extremely helpful and efficient from first contact until the Sale was completed, Money paid directly into my Bank Account and the Car collected from my Home Address!
Great experience
Great experience. Fast sale. I also had a better price with motorway. Don't waste your time going to other sites.
The initial value for the car was good although at the end of the day dropped slightly short on price
The initial value for the car was good
The uploading photos of vehicle needs some attention as all information couldn’t be uploaded in one go
Ended up speaking to at least 4 different sales ladies and eventually uploading the rest of details via email
Payment from dealer was good after inspection on site by there representative paid out within 10 minutes straight into bank account with no quibble
When selling with Motorway make sure you describe your vehicle accurately, no body damage, scuffs and dinks, and the same for the interior no cuts in upholstery or any other marks

Took over 3 weeks to get vehicle collected and paid for messed about from start to finish no reply to emails or phone calls sent sales invoices bills vehicle not even sold or paid for had to insure and tax vehicle for another month occurring more costs and loss of money due to your very bad service and communication
High listing price
High listing price. Correct photos sent with any scratches shown. After the auction the price dropped after inspection. 10 mins later another higher price was offered but I didnt accept.
I think you need to be more realistic with the original listing.
I've tried contacting the company about the listing. No one will answer.

Awful organisation ,dealer bought the car at auction then pulled out of the sale because I stay too far away, motorway seemed too good to be true but I wouldn’t waste my time with these idiots!!!
Easy to sell, just give accurate details.
Filled in accurate details of the car I was selling. Got a quote I was happy with and a few days later the company picked it up and paid the full agreed price (about 20% more than Webuyanycar offered)
