They have banned me several times with no explanation and for no apparent reason. I do nothing out of the ordinary and bam i am banned. Happens alot and then they reapprove me out of nowhere. This app is terrible and run by AI.

I got my account banned for no reason. I made a reclaim then they confirmed I was banned without giving me any explanation. I also paid for a premium account. I didn't get my money back.

Shocking, money making scandal. Get about 2 likes a day, ridiculous pricing (like you should have to pay anyway 🤯). People in your feed are nothing like your type. Worlds gone mad.

A very unsafe app for women
I said no to a creep who invited me over to his place for tea in the first few messages itself. And hinge said it won't shate his details with anybody other than law enforcement authorities and when the police of my country reached out to them they still did not respond.

Within 48 hours of paying over £100 to subscribe to Hinge, I was banned! I appealed and the suspension was lifted but then I was banned permanently within a day without any detailed reasons. I am in my fifties and upon subscribing, I did send several emails (one only) to different profiles of women in their late 20s and 30s. I did get one disgruntled reply stating something to the effect of if I am not prepared to spend money what business do I have contacting young women? Fair enough but I doubt this constitutes a breach in Hinge's policy in any ways, especially when members can adjust age filter of whom they only want to receive emails from (I believe, not so sure if unpaid members can also set Age filters).

My emails (which were only once to each and every profile I contacted) was just showing interest, no bad talk, no explicit words in any way so I am totally baffled as to why Hinge banned me. I feel Hinge owes me back the subscription money (or at least over 70%) of the money I paid for a 6 months!

I feel like I just get sexually harassed by men I haven’t even matched with & hinge does nothing about it

Paid for premium 6 months one time and my account got cancelled couple of days ago even though i didn't violate any policy or do anything wrong. Thought it was a mistake and signed up with my other phone number for another 6 months. Happened again. So, I am out of the money paid and dissapointed with the service. Since they are owned by match they don't reply or take care of customer service

I was on this app for LESS than 24 hours. I did not even get to respond to anyone and they banned me. This first dating app I signed up for and I got banned in less than 24 hours because…. Oh they can’t reveal to me that someone reported me. I’m like who?! I never spoke with anyone. My pictures were real and anyone that has actually met me knows I’m a good person. So honestly your loss Hinge. I just feel it’s worth mentioning because I’ve heard this has happened to others,male and female.

They deleted my account and banned me without explaining why and without me having done or said ANYTHING ANYTHING ANYTHING ANYTHING bad. Terrible.

Terrible waste of money! Joined for 1 month just to see what it's like. There is a horrific controlled usage on the site! You enter in your search parameters & you only get to see around 10-20 profiles per day, as a screen will pop up saying, "there's no more in your search parameter". Give it a few days & suddenly more profiles have mysteriously appeared!! Clearly a tactic to make you stay on the app for longer!!

I've been "matched up" with profiles that are apparently "my perfect match"....

So many people that I've messaged on this app, say the same thing!

The constant daily badgering from Hinge to upgrade! Hinge, you informed me of these options when I joined, stop wasting my time, by "shoving this info in my face" every day!

Also within just 1 month, I've come across several profiles with inappropriate material!!
I thought the profiles were supposed to reviewed & vetted!?? So I'm having to spend my time reporting these profiles (doing someone else's job); whilst wasting my time, that I've paid for, on this app. Bottom line, don't waste your money or time!

I signed up. However, the app never worked on my phone. I wasn't able to send or receive messages. I contacted Hinge and they ignored my messages. I deleted the app. About two weeks later I received emails from them seeking personal information from me. When I refused to give it to them. They banned me from the app I was never able to use.

Even if you don’t waste your money on them, you waste plenty of your time. I’d rather use a site with profile verification and video chats. I chose AFFseek.com
- it has already paid off: I’ve had a couple of successful dates. There is one more disturbing thing about Hinge that I need to mention. When your subscription is about to end you start getting lots of matches, likes and attention. Don’t fall for this illusion: it’s done by AI. Avoid Hinge!

This site is just as bad as all the others, if you’re a male don’t waste your time and money !!

I’ve discovered recently that females do not pay to send messages, rarely are they first to approach anyway - The male has to pay a lot of money in order to send messages, only to discover lapsed / old profiles, not to mention the fakes and scammers that are out there as well - I have sent hundreds and hundreds of messages over my one month membership, literally received a handful of replies, all of which fell away within a few messages

How dating sites can get away with scamming us for this absolute garbage is beyond me !

I’ve paid a lot of money for one month of unlimited messaging, which got me nowhere- now my paid subscription has expired, I seem to be limited to 2 or so messages per day -Taking into account I’ve sent hundreds of messages over the last month to get approx 5 meaningless responses , you do the maths to work out how long it would take with 2 messages per day to get nowhere - do not pay to use this site !! It is a complete waste of money and time, not to mention that it’s depressing and soul destroying , paying for it , to me , seems like a form of self harming mentally , for me it all stops now!

Females get mobbed with messages I know that, it’s just a shame they’re not proactive in writing to people first , they simply are too busy just filtering through all the messages they get, lucky to be a female I guess

Men , stay away from this platform. Womens views are taken first , account banned not suspended.

I had already matched with someone and we were actively chatting. Later, the same person was shown to me again in the Like/Dislike section. Assuming it was a duplicate or a bug, I selected “Dislike” and our entire match and conversation instantly disappeared!

This should never happen. A simple swipe on a profile that shouldn’t have been shown again in the first place should not delete an existing match and chat history. Very frustrating and a major flaw in the app.

Hinge is horrible especially the customer service. I think I might sue them for charging me and then not letting me access my account. The founders are pos.

all the people I've been chatting with there are real and I even added quite a few of them to my Facebook friends. I went on two dates via this service and both of them were hot. Hinge is thousand times worse than this one, it does not even compare. I must admit I learned a $200 lesson the hard way on Hinge. But I won't repeat my mistake!

I purchased the premium membership looking to meet other gay women. Several of the profiles the app showed me were straight women or men! I wrote to Hinge and they said the problem was my settings. There was nothing wrong with my settings. I asked them to fix the problem, but they just ignored me.

I disputed the premium membership charge with my credit card company. As soon as I got a credit Hinge deleted my account. They wouldn’t even let me have a free account. It’s no loss to me as the app didn’t show me a single profile of someone I would be interested in. I’m on HER and Match which aren’t perfect, but vastly superior to Hinge!

If I could give this app zero stars I would. The quality of people is very poor!!
