Yet another family scammed by Keddy! AVOID.
Yet another family scammed by Keddy! AVOID. Family arrived at Nice Airport having booked a car 2 weeks before with Keddy through Orbit. Was told on arrival at Europcar desk (let's not forget that it is Europcar really) to be told that the car we booked was a micro mini, which was totally wrong, and it would cost EUR4000 to upgrade. Ended up having to pay eur250 for a taxi. Absolutely in line with everyones experience on here and discusting how Europcar can let a company in their group behave like this. Something should be done. To eb fair to Orbit they have been great at sorting this out and finding an alternative. Will never use Europcar ever again. Don't touch.
Avoid this company at all costs
WARNING: Extremely aggressive sales tactics and unacceptable customer service
Avoid this company. My experience was extremely negative and left me feeling pressured, intimidated and misled from start to finish.
At vehicle pickup, the male clerk informed me that my reserved vehicle was unavailable and pressured me into paying for an upgrade that I did not request or need. Also increased my car deposit amount and tried negotiating the deposit amount conditional to the purchase of an insurance.
The situation became much worse at the time of return. Diana handled the inspection and attempted to charge me for a scratch, claiming it was over 2 cm long. I disagreed with this assessment and refused to sign paperwork accepting the charge. Instead of handling the disagreement professionally, she became confrontational and repeatedly pressured me to accept the charge.
When I refused and stood up for myself, she accused me of having a “rude attitude” and shifted the conversation toward my behaviour rather than addressing the actual dispute. She also told me that “the office” would come after me, which felt like an attempt to intimidate me into accepting a charge I did not agree with.
I used the ruler printed on their own pamphlet to measure the scratch myself and it was under 2 cm.
What was especially concerning is that, while waiting for my Uber, I overheard the clerk using similar pressure tactics with another customer. A Polish tourist had already booked and paid for an upgrade online, yet the clerk was still pushing him to pay for an upgrade.
Whether this is a company-wide practice or not, my experience was one of pressure, intimidation and extremely poor customer service. I strongly recommend being very cautious before renting from this company.
Stansted - it is a scam - be aware
It is a scam! When I arrived at the rental pick up location they didn't have a vehicle in the class I had booked. The only options available were all upgrades and I wasn't given the option of a vehicle for the price I had agreed in the booking. I was also informed that I must purchase additional insurance as this was not included in the voucher. The payment I made at the time of booking was also not deducted from the final amount. An 8 day car hire from Standsted ended up costing an additional £550 to the price I had agreed at the time of booking. It is an absolute scam and I would never use them again. I wouldn't even give them one star.
Do Not I mean DO NOT
Do Not I mean DO NOT! rent from them. These people are robbers. I just arrived to DXB after 12-hour-flight. It is 5 am now. They dont have the car. Call center is dead. 1/5.
90 mins queue for desk
Avoid Keddy at all costs
Whatever you do don't rent a car from this company Keddy! Gangsters of the highest order. I was the victim of an upsell to a higher value car which was supposed to cost €36 extra for the week .
I fact it was per day but I wasn't told that .
I had booked the car for €239 for the week and was fleeced an extra €288 in total.
I couldn't challenge the extra charge because I mistakenly signed the legal contract (all in French) without reading it.
Please learn from my mistakes - avoid Keddy number one and make an effort to read the contract before signing -number two
Normally I don't write reviews but to…
Normally I don't write reviews but to me it seems that Keddy is getting the sharp end of the stick here. I booked a crossover SUV in Marseille and got a 3000 km almost new car. I was served at the Europcar counter. If I would have booked the same car through Europcar it would have been 30% more expensive. It was clean and everything. Pickup and drop off was a breeze and we had a great weekend. Another plus, it was a hybrid which used less than 5l / 100km. Couldn't be happier. Any time again.
Do not book with Keddy by Europcar
Do not book with Keddy by Europcar if you actually expect a professional service. I arrived right at opening time and was forced to sit around waiting for 40 minutes under the excuse that they were "arranging the car." After wasting nearly an hour of my time, they finally ran my paperwork and refused to give me the car anyway.
The entire office is completely dysfunctional. The lobby was full of other furious customers who were also being heavily delayed and left waiting for keys they were promised at 8:00 AM. The staff are chaotic, unorganized, and completely indifferent to the fact that they are disrupting everyone's day. To top it off, they were incredibly arrogant when called out on their poor service. Utterly pathetic customer service. Avoid.
AVOID them + Use chargeback for a refund.
I hired a car through EasyJet with Keddy. Seems others have had a similar experience where they try to upsell you a more expensive car that costs £300 a day and when you decline, they make up some story about how they can't find your postcode and show you a blank screen which means nothing. So either already gave my car away or just want to steal my money.
Told I would get a refund which is the biggest lie, went through EasyJet rental complaints to get my refund and got told I failed a credit check?! which never even took place. When I disputed this they said they reviewed it and still found that my complaint was invalid and just closed my case.
MAKE SURE YOU DO A CHARGE BACK THROUGH YOUR BANK. IF you have a papertrail and evidence you tried to get your money back and called them out for their lying, you can submit the evidence and do a charge back to get your money back. Not even their dumb "terms of service" is legal and can stand against it. This will only work on cases where they just outright steal your money without any checks.

Hired in Dublin for 4 days with Keddy through Europa car hire.
Absolutely nothing happened to the car when I drove it. They now claim there was a few marks that were not there initially. Charging 600 pounds.
Unfortunately the video i took of the car on collection had a light reflecting on it and I cannot prove they are lying.it is a total scam. Please ensure you get good clear photos if you use this company. Although thd company is keddy i will never use Europa car hire in the future. There was nobody available when I dropped the car back in Dublin airport car park. I handed the key back at the desk at Europa car hire desk and few hours later I got an email saying there were a few marks on the car.
Dropped off Fiat Panda at Europcar T2…
Dropped off Fiat Panda at Europcar T2 on 7/2/26 and got charged 440€ for a damaged number plate which I’d failed to photograph on pick up because the whole car was full of dents, scuffs and scratches. This is fraudulent and I’m complaining to Europcar. Insurance Excess won’t cover this. I’m absolutely disgusted by their tricks.
AVOID this company at all costs!
AVOID! Watch out! The pick up agent tried to charge us 3x the pre-paid rate. No explanation. We were jet lagged but thankfully noticed the cc machine for 2000 pounds (pre paid rate was 600). When we refused to pay that amount, the agent quickly erased it. Then he refused to rent us a car as we were asking to ADD a day to the contract. He said the contract couldn't be extended. We offered to pay for one day separate to the contract. He said they don't rent cars for one day. Say what? So we had to take an Uber to a local hotel overnight, so we could pick up the reserved car the next day as per the contract. Total upheaval to our travel plans. Then after the 20 day rental, we returned the car without vacuuming the leaf debris on the floor. They are charging us 200 pounds "damage". AVOID the company. Save your sanity.
Car given away
We booked a car by auto Europe incl our flight number. As a lot of flights are delayed or cancelled the weather in Europe. We were 1,5 hours later, but Keddy was in the position with our flight no. to check the details. But still they gave away our car and want us to pay € 900… again. They could have called us, because the airplane landed at time of pickup. We had many bookings in the past, but never had this before… really no customer service at all at Keddy.

Was quoted one price and charged nearly double on my card. No justification, no reply to the emails, nothing. Avoid this company.
My experience with Keddy (operated by…
My experience with Keddy (operated by Europcar) has been a complete nightmare. I booked a car through Keddy, paid £655, and turned up at the Europcar desk to collect it. Out of nowhere, I was told I couldn’t have the car — no explanation, no alternative, nothing.
When I asked if my money would be refunded, I was told yes. Weeks later, I still haven’t received a penny back.
I’ve called Europcar customer service many times. Every time they say it’s “nothing to do with them” because Keddy is a “third party”. That’s a complete lie — Keddy is part of the Europcar group, and all the contact details lead back to Europcar. But there’s no phone number or real customer support for Keddy itself.
It’s obvious they use the Keddy brand as a way to take payments but avoid responsibility when something goes wrong. After reading other reviews online, it’s clear I’m not alone — many people have had their money taken and never refunded.
Stay away from this company they have…
Stay away from this company they have stolen our money and continue to lie about it. We rented a car from Paris airport with Keddy. Our travel plans were held up and we knew in the morning that we would be late picking up the car. We rang to explain that we would be late and were reassured that the car would be held for us. Needless to say when we arrived they had no car for us. The guy at the desk was one of the most surly unhelpful and downright rude people I have ever encountered. He had no interest in helping us. He said because we were 2 hours late they had given away our car and they didn’t have another unless we were willing to pay an extra €2,200 euro. We rented a car from another provider instead. We are still waiting for our refund of €850 from Keddy for a car that we never got - this was nearly 3 months ago and still no sign. Keddy are insisting that they fulfilled the contract and that we got the car. Don’t know who to turn to help us, all that’s left is to warn everyone else - stay away from this company they are villains and crooks!
My experience with Keddy was pretty good
I used a car hire broker to sort out a hire car for me at Girona airport. The car was supplied by Keddy. I was therefore somewhat dismayed to read the Trustpilot scores for Keddy, and feared the worst.
But the actual experience was good:
- quite hard to find Keddy at the airport. They are 500m from the terminal building, and it's not signed. And you have to look for Europcar - Keddy is their discount brand
- a bit of a queue to collect the car, but nothing like as bad as the queue at Budget - we could see their queue was out of the door and stretching across the car park
- a bit of a hard sell on insurance, but that's part and parcel of car hire sadly
- car was decent. We'd booked a Corsa, but were given a Ssang Yong Koranda. Not the best car in the world, but well equipped and roomy
- return of car was easy. Just hand in the keys, and confirm no problems. Within an hour, I had an email confirming everything was in order.
Maybe I was lucky, but my experience was nothing like those reported on Trustpilot
Double charge for insurance!
I got charged doubly for insurance at Madrid Airport. Keddy had already charged me for insurance and extras but at the time of handing over the car by Europecar the person at the counter demanded insurance again as apparently the insurance paid for was to Keddy and the car belonged to Europecar!!!
I had no choice but to pay again. It took me nearly 2 hours but I couldn’t convince the Wuropecar staff at the Madrid Airport.
CHARGE 500 € FOR EXISTING DAMAGE
The car had damage on it at collection which was on the documentation and we documented with a video & photos while collecting at Airport. We returned car and re did video/photos. 6 weeks later got a bill for >500€ for damage to the car. Had to show video & photos with "meta data" to show time stamps that the damage was not caused by us. This is even with buying full damage protection insurance. Eventually won the case not to be charged for Damages that we didnt cause. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND VIDEO/PHOTO FULL CAR BEFORE AND AFTER FOR EVIDENCE
