I have not had the need to cash in on the insurance policy, but comparing it to others on the market, it seems to be a very good deal, especially considering I often travel internationally.

I already used while I traveled in London on last year on summer.

I purchased travel insurance with AXA and submitted a claim for delayed baggage following an international trip. Unfortunately, the claims process has been extremely stressful and drawn out.
My luggage was delayed by the airline for three days. However, as my travel itinerary shows, I was on a pre-booked overland tour across Namibia. By the time the luggage arrived at Walvis Bay airport, I had already travelled approximately 800 km away with the tour group and it was impossible for me to return to collect it. The bag was eventually returned to me the day before I was due to go home. My bag was damaged and several items were missing and damaged from my bag.
Over the past six months I have repeatedly supplied the same documentation AXA requested, including:
Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
Airline confirmation of the baggage delay
My travel itinerary showing the organised tour and distances involved
Bank statement receipts for several items
Flight receipts from airlines
Photographs showing brand labels for clothing and other items to demonstrate ownership
A detailed list with estimated purchase dates and receipt availability for every item (except one as my statements dont go back far enough in time)
Despite providing all of this information, I have been asked for additional documents that are not realistically available (such as original receipts for older clothing items (sent bank statements instead with most of these items) or airline confirmation of missing contents, which they know airlines do not provide).
The repeated requests for clarification and documents have made the process feel unnecessarily difficult and prolonged. After six months, the claim still appears to be under review, which has been very frustrating.
I understand that insurance companies must verify claims, and I have fully cooperated and provided all the evidence. However, the length of time and the repeated requests for information already supplied have made this experience very stressful. They do this in order for people to give up.

Luckily I never needed to use medical services while I was abroad, so I can only evaluate the purchasing process on the website which was easy and came at a good price.

I wanted to subscribe the assurance before finding out Coverwise is part of AXA, which is facilitating Palestinians Genocide. Will happily pay 30 euros more with another company.
