1Cover Travel Insurance Reviews 

So far the help and assistance to get cover was simple and the lady who helped answer all questions over the phone was polite and easy to understand.

It was simple to look at the cost v the countries but I did want to ask a question so was on hold for a fair time waiting to ask if remote extraction was included, which is what the travel company said should be included in the insurance.

I was quite worried about my travel insurance cover with having a husband at home with a pre existing health condition. However, Val was kind enough to reassure me that i should not have a problem in case I would have to cancel my trip.
He promised to send me a transcript from our conversation.

I highly recommend avoiding 1Cover if you intend on attempting to claim anything back due to unforeseen trip cancellations and disruptions. They have fought at every opportunity to decline claims for legitimate reasons and every time I've been forced to go down complaint avenues to even try get it reassessed. Used them multiple times and the first time I needed to claim due to flight cancellations out of my control they've made the while process as hard as humanly possible. Never using 1Cover again.

I purchased extra insurance with i cover for the rest of my holiday as i extended my travel for 3 extra weeks. Unfortunately i had a medical situation in Cambodia not hugely expensive but i kept all documents and made a claim on my return to Australia. But alas apparently because i purchased the extra insurance after leaving Australia i was not covered! So no mention of this that i saw in my policy! Never ever will i use this insurance company again!
Just as well it wasn’t more serious!
