★☆☆☆☆ Luxury Prices

★☆☆☆☆ Luxury Prices. Budget Service.

I moved into Bloom Nine Elms expecting a premium residential experience that matched the marketing and the rent. Unfortunately, after living here for over a month, my experience has been one of disappointment.

Ironically, the best part of my experience was the sales team. My first interaction was poor and almost put me off completely, but a second representative was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. She answered every question, gave an excellent tour and convinced me that Bloom would deliver the luxury lifestyle it promotes.

Sadly, living here has been a very different experience.

Bloom promotes a dedicated management team, exceptional customer service and a smooth resident experience. In reality, I have found the concierge and reception staff to be inconsistent, often dismissive and far less helpful than you would expect from a development where many apartments cost around £4,000 per month. Asking simple questions, such as how to use the intercom system, was met with an attitude that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a resident.

The internet situation is another major issue. Residents have very limited provider choice, the connection has been unreliable, and because mobile phone signal throughout parts of the building is poor, you’re heavily dependent on the building’s Wi-Fi simply to make and receive calls.

The mail room is one of the most disorganised I have ever seen in a modern residential development. I’ll be uploading photographs because they speak for themselves.

Maintenance has also been disappointing. Communal doors have been left with missing handles, my apartment’s smoke alarms were only installed after I had already moved in, and recently the air conditioning has been out of service during one of the hottest periods of the year.

The building itself is beautiful. The facilities look impressive, and the communal spaces photograph well. But luxury living is about far more than aesthetics.

It’s about service.

It’s about maintenance.

It’s about communication.

It’s about making residents feel valued.

Unfortunately, Bloom delivers the appearance of luxury far better than the experience of it.

For the price being charged, I expected five-star service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bloom Nine Elms and will be looking at alternative developments when my tenancy allows.

My rating: 2

Inhuman Company

I am writing as a customer to raise a serious concern regarding reports and posts I have seen, including on LinkedIn, suggesting that employees may have been dismissed or penalised for expressing humanitarian views, including opposition to war and support for the rights and safety of people in Palestine, Congo, and other affected nations and communities.
As a customer, this does not sit well with me.
I believe that humanity must come before commercial relationships. I do not wish to support, receive services from, or remain connected to a company whose actions appear to conflict with basic humanitarian values, freedom of conscience, and the right of people to express peaceful concern about war, suffering, and injustice outside the workplace.
To be clear, my concern is not about party politics. It is about the principle that people should not be punished for saying no to war or for showing peaceful support for vulnerable people and communities experiencing conflict, displacement, or oppression.
Unless PAYPAL.com can clearly demonstrate that these concerns are inaccurate, or explain what steps are being taken to protect employees’ rights to hold and express lawful humanitarian views, I will have to reconsider my position as a customer and any future use of PayPal's services. PayPal is anti-palestine I find that unsettling and disgraceful.
Humanity comes first. Commercial convenience comes second.

Review of iRobot

Warning to prospective buyers

★★★★★

Defective product, misleading support, and zero accountability — avoid unless you're willing to fight for a refund

We purchased an iRobot device and it failed on the very first use — it simply would not clean, displaying a persistent "bin full" error despite normal conditions. This wasn't a case of getting used to a new product; it was clearly defective out of the box.

We reported the fault immediately through the iRobot app, assuming this was the right way to raise a support issue. What followed was deeply disappointing: the app responded with generic FAQ replies and no actual support, effectively stalling us past the 28-day return window. This feels deliberately designed to exhaust customers before they can exercise their right to a return. By the time we realised no real help was coming, our return window had closed.

We have since attempted to resolve this through multiple channels — direct communication with iRobot has been evasive, inconsistent, and frankly exhausting. The only time we received any meaningful response was after posting a public review. That speaks volumes about how much they value private customer complaints versus their public reputation.

We have now escalated to our bank to pursue a chargeback, and iRobot has still not engaged constructively — leaving us with a defective product we cannot use and a company that will not collect it. Legal action may be the only remaining option.

Warning to prospective buyers

If you buy an iRobot product and experience any issue at all, bypass the app entirely and initiate a return immediately — you have 28 days and the clock is ticking. Do not trust the in-app support system to resolve your issue in time. If you miss that window, getting resolution becomes an uphill battle.

Misleading JustParking Rates and Offer.

Be cautious when using JustParking — always check the official parking rates at the location before booking. In my experience, the platform can be misleading. You may end up paying significantly more than the actual on-site price, often with added service fees that aren’t obvious upfront.

In some cases, the same car park offers cheaper rates if you pay directly at the machine or via the operator’s own website. The app creates the impression you’re getting convenience or a deal, but that isn’t always true.

My advice: use JustParking as a reference at most, but always compare prices directly with the car park provider first to avoid overpaying.

Yotto at KOKO, Camden – Poor Experience

Disappointing experience — no longer worth the effort... Sorry Yotto.

Unfortunately, KOKO is no longer what it once was.
The evening started badly with very long queues in the rain, followed by a poor sound system and rude staff at the entrance, which immediately set a negative tone. First impressions matter, and this was handled poorly.
To be fair, the security staff were polite, friendly, and professional, and the toilets were clean, which deserves recognition. However, these positives aren’t enough to outweigh the overall experience.
KOKO, once known as Camden Palace, used to host iconic nights like Peach and memorable Friday events that were genuinely enjoyable. That atmosphere and energy have clearly disappeared. The venue now feels like it’s going backwards, which perhaps explains why free tickets are being widely offered — not usually a good sign.
Customer service is also disappointing. Rather than engaging with genuine feedback, there seems to be more focus on defending policies than improving the customer experience.
At this point, I would strongly recommend Fabric or OutHere instead — both are far better organised and significantly more enjoyable. And if the goal is simply to see the artist, you’re honestly better off watching later on YouTube without the stress.
Overall, a disappointing experience and not somewhere I would return to.

Review of Hyperoptic Full Fibre Broadband

Customer Loyalty has no value ?

I’ve been a Hyperoptic customer for over 10 years and even supported their rollout into a large residential development of 150+ apartments and flats — so I’ve been more than just an end user.

The service has always been fast and reliable, which is why I stayed for so long. I’ve recommended Hyperoptic to friends and family purely because the quality has genuinely been strong.

My only frustration had been around pricing for loyal customers, as newer deals and comparison sites sometimes showed better value than what long-standing customers were offered, which didn’t always feel reflective of loyalty.

That said, I’m pleased to say the matter has now been resolved. Hyperoptic stepped in and handled it well, offering a really strong deal and contract in recognition of being a loyal customer for more than a decade.

Thank you to Hyperoptic — and a special thanks to Stefan for sorting this properly.

Avoid iRobot – misleading setup, faulty product, poor support

iRobot looks great at purchase with discounts and promises, but ownership is a nightmare.

Key issue not disclosed: the email used for the app must match the purchase email. If it doesn’t, customer service cannot locate your product. We learned this only after repeated failed support attempts.

The robot worked once, then repeatedly reported a “full bin” when it wasn’t. App fault reports go nowhere — customer services have no access to app logs, despite what the app implies.

After weeks of emails, multiple advisors, and no resolution, we were denied a refund because more than 28 days had passed — despite the product being faulty.

We’ve now escalated via our credit card provider and legal routes.

Avoid this brand unless you’re prepared to waste time and money.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid

⭐☆☆☆☆ Avoid — Disorganised and Disappointing Experience at Sky Garden via DesignMyNight

Booked tickets online through DesignMyNight for an evening at Sky Garden to celebrate a friend’s birthday — drinks, live music, and a good atmosphere. Everything seemed smooth until arrival.

Getting there on a Sunday evening was easy, but at security, the staff looked confused and told us to speak to reception. The receptionist checked our tickets (which were real — even saved in my Apple Wallet) and then informed us the event had been cancelled. No prior notice, no email, nothing. I was told we’d “get a refund” and to contact them via email if not — but we could still “go upstairs and look around.”

Since we were already dressed up for the occasion, we went upstairs anyway. The place was full of people there just for the view, with most tables and seats reserved. The concierge tried to help, saying we could “walk around” and maybe get a table in 45 minutes. We eventually got a drink — nice but overpriced — and soon realised the atmosphere was completely flat. Definitely not the kind of vibe you’d expect for a birthday celebration or what was advertised.

We let the concierge know we were leaving — honestly, the whole experience felt like a complete waste of time and money. To make things worse, no refund email ever came through, and there was no apology or goodwill gesture for the inconvenience.

For a venue and platform like this, I expected far better organisation, communication, and customer service. Sadly, it was a huge letdown.

⚠️ AVOID — not worth the hassle or disappointment.

Avoid Tesco if You're an EV Driver – Unfair Fines, No Signage, No Accountability
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

As an electric vehicle owner, I expected Tesco to support greener transport. Instead, I was hit with two unfair Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) at **Tesco Bow, London E3** – **while I was using their own branded EV chargers** (Tesco in partnership with Volkswagen).

There were:

* **No visible signs or markings**
* **No time-limit warnings**
* **No legal signage required under BPA or UK traffic law**

Tesco refused to take responsibility and passed the blame to Horizon Parking – despite it being **Tesco land, Tesco chargers, Tesco branding**.

To make things worse, Horizon Parking provided **signage from a completely different location** as justification!

I’ve since visited **Sainsbury’s Whitechapel**, where EV bays are:
✅ Clearly signed
✅ Marked with time limits
✅ Maintained properly

It’s clear who actually cares about their customers and the EV community.

🚫 **Tesco is not EV friendly. If you drive electric, avoid them.**
✅ Go to Sainsbury’s – they respect their customers and comply with the law.

Don't waste time contacting customer services or their C-level.

GP at Hand – A Complete Disaster That Could Cost Lives

Here's a more emotionally charged and distressing version of your review:

---
GP at Hand has become an absolute nightmare since moving away from Babylon. The service is beyond unusable—it’s a chaotic mess designed to confuse, frustrate, and trap you. The UI/UX is atrocious, making even the simplest tasks feel impossible. Trying to leave? Forget it. There’s no clear way out, and complaints are completely ignored.

But the most dangerous part? They call from withheld numbers—so if your phone blocks unknown callers (which most do), you’ll **miss your own appointments**. What kind of medical service does that?! At this rate, I’ll be dead before anyone actually fixes this disaster of a system.

As someone with over 20 years in tech, I’ve seen bad digital services—but this is beyond unacceptable. GP at Hand is a disgrace, and I **strongly** urge everyone to **stay far away**.

I decided to place my first order after seeing the brand’s social media campaigns and checking out their website, which looked pretty impressive. The delivery was fast, so that’s definitely a positive! However, the product quality was a bit of a letdown.

I ordered a pair of bottoms, and when I unwrapped them, I noticed loose fabric and cotton bits in the packaging, making it look like the item had been hastily finished at the factory. The overall finish just wasn’t up to the standard I expected, especially for the price.

On the other hand, the gloves I ordered were a nice surprise. While they’re a bit pricey for what they are, I can tell they’re well-made, and I’ll keep them for now.

Overall, I’m on the fence. I’m not happy with the bottoms, but I might give the brand another shot in the future. Just hoping for better quality control next time.

Review of MR PORTER

"A Gentleman’s Reflection on Mr Porter: Challenges in Service and App Functionality"

As someone who appreciates fine menswear and the convenience of modern technology, I was initially drawn to Mr Porter's impeccable curation of high-end brands and the promise of effortless shopping via their app. Regrettably, my experience has been less than satisfactory, particularly when using the app on my iPhone or iPad during travels.

Like many, I rely on Apple Pay for its security and ease of use. However, the Mr Porter app consistently fails to process payments via Apple Pay, irrespective of the device. This issue has persisted despite my efforts to report it. While the first customer service advisor I interacted with, based in New York, displayed commendable professionalism and understanding, the underlying technical issue remains unresolved. Ultimately, I can only successfully complete purchases using Apple Pay on my desktop or laptop, which undermines the intended convenience of mobile shopping.

Moreover, the app is plagued by technical glitches that further detract from the user experience. Items in my basket frequently disappear and reappear, causing me to lose opportunities to purchase sale items. On multiple occasions, I have had to resort to screenshots and wait until I could access a computer to secure my desired items—an inconvenience that feels avoidable. Despite raising these concerns with customer care, the problems have yet to be addressed.

A particularly disheartening experience involved a customer service advisor who promised a 15% discount on retained items from a previous order. Unfortunately, this promise was never honored, which has diminished my confidence in Mr Porter's commitment to customer satisfaction. More recently, I missed out on a sought-after John Elliott top due to the app's payment issues, managing to secure only one of the intended items.

While I must commend Mr Porter for their exceptional packaging—a hallmark of their brand—the app's poor functionality and unfulfilled promises overshadow this strength. For a brand synonymous with luxury and refinement, these service gaps are disappointing.

In light of these challenges, I have begun exploring alternative retailers such as End Clothing or shopping directly from brands’ websites, where the experience is more dependable.

In conclusion, while Mr Porter remains an icon in luxury menswear, their app and customer service fall short of the standards one would expect. I hope to see improvements in these areas, as the brand undoubtedly has the potential to offer a truly exceptional experience. Until then, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend their platform.

Harassment and Unethical Behaviour – Avoid at All Costs I have had an appalling experience with…

I have had an appalling experience with Gladstones Solicitors. Despite confirming with their client, **CPM**, and my landlord, **Riverside (One Housing)**, that no Parking Charge Notice (PCN) exists for my vehicle, Gladstones has continued to pursue a baseless claim against me.

Their repeated, unwarranted correspondence has crossed the line into harassment, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. This behavior is not only unethical but also a blatant disregard for basic legal and professional standards.

**Key issues:**
- **Failure to Provide Evidence:** Despite multiple requests, they have not substantiated their claim with any credible evidence.
- **Data Protection Breaches:** They mishandled my Subject Access Request (SAR) under GDPR, raising serious concerns about their compliance with UK data protection laws.
- **Aggressive and Intimidating Tactics:** Their persistent communication despite clear evidence disproving their claim demonstrates a pattern of bullying and harassment.

This firm’s conduct appears to align with numerous similar complaints found online, suggesting a broader issue with their approach to cases. Such behavior diminishes trust in the legal profession and highlights a lack of accountability.

I strongly advise others to document all interactions with Gladstones and escalate issues to the **Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)** and **Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)** if necessary. This firm does not represent the values of fairness or professionalism that should be expected from legal practitioners.

Disappointing Experience with Mr Porter

**Rating: 4/10**

**Review: Disappointing Experience with Mr Porter**

I’ve recently transitioned my shopping habits away from Mr Porter, and here’s why:

Mr Porter’s website and app are well-designed, offering a fantastic selection of designer brands and collections. Initially, this drew me in and kept me coming back. However, several issues have marred my overall experience, leading me to switch to Harrods, SSENSE, and Endclothing.

Despite reaching out via email on three separate occasions, my concerns were met with silence. The lack of response is especially disheartening from a high-end retailer like Mr Porter.

A few months ago, I encountered a problem with the app not accepting Apple Pay, although it worked fine on the website. The customer service advisor I spoke with from the USA was exceptionally helpful and professional, which initially made me optimistic about continuing my patronage. Unfortunately, subsequent interactions with customer service representatives outside the USA were not as positive. Their support lacked the same level of professionalism and seemed to undervalue my concerns.

The primary issue I faced was with product descriptions. The colors of items I received frequently did not match what was described on the site, leading to numerous returns and additional shipping costs. Despite highlighting these discrepancies and requesting refunds for the extra shipping charges, my concerns were ignored.

In summary, while Mr Porter boasts an appealing platform and a wide range of high-end products, the lack of responsive and effective customer service, particularly from non-USA representatives, has been a significant letdown. The inaccuracies in product descriptions and the failure to address these issues have led me to seek more reliable retailers.

For a premium online retailer, Mr Porter has fallen short in critical areas of customer service and product accuracy.

Review of Brent Council

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Council Parking PCN Money Maker!

It appears that the Brent Council's handling of parking permits and issuing tickets for funeral cars is deeply concerning and reflects a lack of empathy and fairness towards grieving families. Here's a review of the situation:

1. **Lack of Sensitivity:**
- It is highly distressing to learn that several funeral cars, including the vehicle transporting the deceased, were issued tickets despite having permits to park. This demonstrates a lack of sensitivity and respect for the solemnity of funerals and the emotional distress of grieving families.

2. **Unjust Treatment:**
- The fact that the council issued tickets to vehicles with valid permits highlights an unjust and arbitrary application of parking regulations. It is unfair to penalize individuals who have followed proper procedures and obtained necessary permits for parking.

3. **Limited Recourse:**
- The review suggests that challenging the council's decisions is an arduous process with little chance of success. This lack of recourse for individuals facing unjust penalties undermines the principles of accountability and transparency within the council's system.

4. **Systemic Issues:**
- The situation reflects broader systemic issues within the council, including potential corruption and a disregard for fairness and integrity in decision-making processes. Such systemic shortcomings erode public trust and confidence in the council's ability to serve the community effectively.

5. **Need for Reform:**
- There is a clear need for reform within the Brent Council to address the flaws in its parking enforcement policies and procedures. This includes implementing measures to ensure fairness, accountability, and responsiveness to the needs of residents, particularly during sensitive occasions such as funerals.

Overall, the review highlights the urgent need for the Brent Council to address the shortcomings in its parking enforcement practices and restore trust in its ability to serve the community fairly and compassionately. Failure to do so risks further alienating residents and perpetuating a culture of injustice and impunity within the council.

Exceptional Service and Blazing Fast Speeds: A Hyperoptic Love Affair Since 2015

I have been a proud customer of Hyperoptic Fibre Broadband since 2015, and my journey with them has been nothing short of exceptional. The main draw that initially captivated me was their promise of blazing fast internet speeds, being one of the pioneers in offering an astonishing 1Gb for both uploads and downloads. Fast forward to today, and I can confidently say that Hyperoptic has not only lived up to this promise but has consistently surpassed my expectations.

One of the key reasons I have remained a loyal customer for all these years is the outstanding customer service provided by Hyperoptic. The team has consistently demonstrated a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. Every interaction has been a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. They are not only knowledgeable and efficient but also go above and beyond to ensure that I, as a customer, feel valued.

Communication is where Hyperoptic truly stands out. The company keeps its customers well-informed with prompt updates on service improvements and any instances of downtime. This level of transparency is not only reassuring but also reflects Hyperoptic's commitment to keeping its customers in the loop. Knowing that the company is actively working to enhance its services and promptly addressing any issues instills a great deal of confidence.

Recently, with my contract coming to an end, I found myself contemplating exploring other broadband providers in the market. However, after careful consideration and weighing the pros and cons, I ultimately decided to renew my contract with Hyperoptic for an additional two years. The decision was made easy by the seamless and hassle-free process that Hyperoptic offers its customers.

Today, I want to express my gratitude to Hyperoptic for consistently delivering a superb customer-focused service. The representative I interacted with during the contract renewal process went above and beyond, making the experience even more positive and reinforcing my confidence in Hyperoptic. Extremely Disappointing Experience with Paramount Shop

Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience with Paramount Shop

I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Paramount Shop, and my experience left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I had placed an order for a Trekkie hold on Star Trek day, which was meant to be a special occasion for me. Initially, everything seemed to be going well, and the timing of the delivery appeared to be perfect. However, this positive impression quickly turned into a nightmare.

After eagerly tracking my order, the status showed that it had been delivered. Excitedly, I went to the office to collect my item, but to my dismay, there was nothing there. No package, no notice, and not a single email from Paramount Shop explaining the situation. I was left bewildered, wondering where my cherished item had gone.

In my frustration, I reached out to Paramount Shop when they contacted me for a review. I asked them the most pressing question: "Where is my item?" Their response was nothing short of shocking. They informed me that the package had been returned to the sender, offering no explanation whatsoever for this perplexing turn of events.

As a customer residing in the UK, I requested that they rectify their error by resending the item to my UK address at their expense. After all, it was their mistake that had led to the package being returned. However, to my astonishment, Paramount Shop refused to take responsibility and declined my request. Their customer service was nothing short of abysmal, and the representative I dealt with was the worst I have ever encountered. They were utterly unwilling to acknowledge the mistakes made throughout this ordeal.

Frustrated and appalled by Paramount Shop's lack of accountability, I finally demanded a refund for my purchase. Thankfully, they agreed to process the refund, but the entire experience was marred by their rude and uncooperative representative who failed to recognize their own errors.

In conclusion, my experience with Paramount Shop was nothing short of a nightmare. From the unexplained return of my item to their refusal to send it to the correct address at their expense, I have never encountered such a poorly managed and unhelpful customer service experience. I would strongly advise against shopping with Paramount Shop, as their complete lack of accountability and unwillingness to rectify their mistakes has left me with a bitter taste and a resolve never to patronise their business again.

Review of Greater Anglia

A Nightmare Experience with Greater Anglia Train Service

Title: A Nightmare Experience with Greater Anglia Train Service

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

My recent experience with Greater Anglia train service was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I attempted to purchase a ticket online using their website, to my frustrating encounter with their staff at Stansted Airport, it was a series of disappointments and incompetence that left a lasting negative impression.

**Lack of Proper Signage:**
One of the first issues I encountered was the complete lack of proper signage at the train station. When you're in a hurry to catch a train, the last thing you need is confusion about which platform to go to. Greater Anglia's failure to provide clear signage is a major inconvenience for passengers.

**Inadequate Staff Assistance:**
As if the lack of signage wasn't enough, there was also a noticeable absence of staff members available to assist passengers. When running late, the ability to quickly purchase a ticket and board the right train is crucial. Unfortunately, Greater Anglia failed miserably in this regard.

**Online Ticket Purchasing Nightmare:**
Attempting to purchase a ticket using a smart device on their website was an exercise in frustration. I made repeated attempts without any luck, even taking screenshots to document my efforts. This should not be an issue in this day and age, and it reflects poorly on the company's technological capabilities.

**Unjust Fines and Appeals:**
Upon reaching Stansted Airport, I encountered a ticket agent who was less than helpful. Despite my best efforts and evidence of my struggles to buy a ticket online, I was fined. The ticket agent mentioned staffing issues and a lack of information for customers as reasons for the ongoing problems. While I did appeal the fine, it was a complete waste of time.

**Money-Focused and Unapologetic:**
My overall impression of Greater Anglia is that they are just another money-focused entity, showing little regard for customer experience. It's disheartening to see such blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, especially when comparing it to transportation services in other countries like Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Poland, which are known for their superb service and efficiency.

**Appeal System as a Legal Requirement:**
Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that the appeal system, while available, seems to exist more as a legal requirement to avoid breaking UK regulations than as a genuine avenue for resolving passenger grievances. My personal experience with the appeals process left me feeling that Greater Anglia's intentions were more about saving face than rectifying their shortcomings. It's disheartening to see an appeal system in place that ultimately wastes the time of passengers who have valid concerns and evidence to support their claims. This further highlights the company's lack of genuine commitment to improving their service and prioritizing customer satisfaction.

**Neglecting the Power of Customer Feedback:**
It's disheartening to see that Greater Anglia, and companies like it, seem to neglect the invaluable power of customer feedback and complaints. A well-functioning appeal system should not just serve as a legal formality, but rather as a vital channel for customers to voice their concerns and contribute to the improvement of the service. Just like software updates that fix bugs and enhance user experience, train services should continuously strive to improve their operations based on the input of the very people they serve.

However, it appears that some of these companies, including Greater Anglia, behave as if they are infallible gods of the transportation industry, impervious to criticism and customer suggestions. This attitude not only hinders their own growth and development but also perpetuates the cycle of dissatisfaction among passengers who are left feeling unheard and unimportant. It's a missed opportunity to foster trust and build a stronger, more customer-centric service that can meet the ever-evolving needs of travelers.

**Final Thoughts:**
In conclusion, my experience with Greater Anglia train service was a true disappointment. The lack of proper signage, staff assistance, and the nightmarish online ticket purchasing process left me frustrated and disillusioned. It's clear that Greater Anglia prioritizes profits over the well-being and satisfaction of its passengers. If you have other options, I would strongly recommend avoiding this service. It's a stark reminder of the issues plaguing UK transportation services, and it's a shame that more customer-focused alternatives like Apple, Amazon, or Virgin aren't running the show. Going forward use Elizabeth Line to Heathrow Airport will be a better experience.

Pure Gym puts members at Danger

This evaluation arises from the observation that Pure Gym at Bow Wharf, and the company as a whole, prioritize profit over member safety. Although I initially thought it was a good gym, on 16.04.23, a fellow member attacked me from behind without any provocation in the evening. Fortunately, I was able to manage the situation, and nearby individuals performing Islamic prayers heard my call for help and assisted in restraining the attacker. The police arrived shortly after and arrested the assailant, who was charged, but did not disclose his motives for the assault. I informed the gym of the incident, but they refused to cancel the attacker's membership since it occurred outside the gym's front doors and because he is a member. I am concerned about the safety of other members since the gym has chosen not to inform them of the situation and is content to keep the attacker as a member, putting me in a difficult position. The following is my letter to them with legal obligations they need to fulfil which they are will to ignore.

Dear Pure Gym Bow Wharf Management,

Re: Pure Gym puts members at Danger - Attacker Mohammed Baree

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding your handling of the matter where a Pure Gym member carried out a violent attack on me outside the gym premises, but on the Canal & River Trust grounds. The attacker, THE ATTACKER, was charged under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and now has a criminal record for his assault on me.

It is utterly disgusting that Pure Gym is retaining this violent criminal as a member, placing all other gym members at risk. This is not the first instance where a gym member has carried out a violent attack, and yet, the gym has taken no action to prevent such incidents from occurring.
I refer to similar cases where gyms have failed to take appropriate action to protect their members, and such incidents have resulted in serious injuries and even fatalities. It is unacceptable that Pure Gym Bow Wharf is putting its members at risk by allowing violent criminals to retain their memberships.

In the United Kingdom, gym members have a legal right to safety while using gym facilities. Gym owners have a duty of care to ensure the safety of their members and take reasonable steps to prevent any foreseeable harm.

Under the Occupiers' Liability Act 1957, gym owners have a duty of care to ensure that the premises are reasonably safe for all visitors, including gym members. Failure to take reasonable steps to prevent harm or injury can result in legal action against the gym.

In cases where a gym member carries out a violent attack on another member, gym owners have a legal obligation to take appropriate action to protect their members. Failure to take appropriate action can be seen as a breach of the duty of care owed to members and may result in legal action.

There have been several similar cases in the UK where gyms have failed to take appropriate action to protect their members from violent attacks. In one such case, a gym member was stabbed to death by another member in a fitness class. The gym was held liable for the death of the member as they had failed to take reasonable steps to prevent the attack.

In another case, a gym member was attacked in the changing room by another member. The gym failed to take appropriate action, and the attacker was allowed to remain a member. The victim successfully sued the gym for failing to protect him from harm.

In cases where a gym member carries out a violent attack on another member, gym owners must take immediate action to ensure the safety of their members. This includes revoking the attacker's membership and informing all members, tenants, and visitors of the incident and the steps being taken to ensure their safety.

In conclusion, gym owners have a legal obligation to ensure the safety of their members and take appropriate action to prevent any foreseeable harm. Failure to take appropriate action can result in legal action against the gym and can have serious consequences for the safety of gym members.

Furthermore, I will be taking this matter to the media as it is evident that the gym is more concerned with making money than ensuring the safety of its members. It is my hope that the media will highlight this issue, and the gym will be held accountable for its failure to take action to protect its members.

I urge you to take immediate action and revoke THE ATTACKERS membership at the gym and all other Pure Gyms to ensure the safety of your members. I also request that you inform all members, tenants, and visitors of the incident and the steps being taken to ensure their safety.

*I am concerned about my friends and other gym goers and only by writing this review maybe Pure Gym will rethink about safety then profit.
