Hi Roger, thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to share your experience with us. The remaining balance for your booking will be automatically collected a few days after it is due if you selected this payment option at the time of booking. This process is also clearly noted in the confirmation email that is sent to you after your reservation is completed. I am sorry that you did not receive a reminder email to let you know that this automatic payment would be taking place.

Kind regards,
Violet,

deteriorating service

It appears now that every bacs payment is withheld for security purposes Stopping a payment because you have been contacted and don't have the appropriate information allows the bank to hold onto your money for several days. Clearly now the coop bacs system does not work the only way to make payments securely is by cheque. I am increasingly dissatisfied with this bank and its attitude to customers. In such situations when it is urgent to contact the bank the telephone waiting time is 50 mins and contact often cut off once through....

Unacceptable service level

I used to be proud to be a loyal member of this bank but no longer. My nearest branch is 60 miles away so being able to contact by phone when they get things wrong is essential. Staff are usually brilliantly helpful BUT..30 minutes to an hour? and then to be cut off before answering? Withholding payments for security purposes when already having discussed at length?
Failing to contact me when requested and refusing to apologize for errors?
Why should I give them another chance?

Hi Roger, I'm sorry you feel this and for the issues you've had online. In regards to your password, please send a secure message if you've been able to login and we can look into this further.

To access your balance you'll need to complete security. If you're using online banking you need to enter your username, password and security code to login, over the phone you need to correctly enter your telephone banking security code and at an ATM you need to enter your PIN.

I appreciate we're experiencing high call volumes and I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. - Chris

annoying glitches

I have been a coop bank user for many years and find their telephone service has generally been excellent and the staff extremly helpful but for some time now when using a mobile on speaker in order to use the keypad easily my balance is automatically anounced on getting through to anyone within earshot.I have complained several times about this to no avail.
Full internet banking is not available to anyone receiving paper statements which seems unfair.

Review of ScottishPower

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Threatening behaviour.

This Company should not be considered by anyone changing supplier.
After just over six months with them and being unable to get dual fuel statements and no response or call backs from customer services I changed to another supplier. Shortly after I was contacted by my bank to inform me that Scottish Power had tried to take £2660 from my account in addition to my usual direct debit of £99.90 which they had also continued to take.My bank managed to recover a direct debit from them.
Scottish Power disputed the meter readings (correct) I had given to my new supplier and I entered a meter read dispute process between the two suppliers. SP continued to dispute the outcome with OVO my new supplier and I continued to receive quite threatening calls demanding payment even when forced to put this in the hands of the ombudsman. After 18 months the ombudsman has closed the case. I have received £150 compensation and aprox £200 which they eventually agreed I had been overcharged. This in no way compensates for the time I have spent trying to recover my money over 18 months. I do not consider I recieved an adequate apology from someone trying to steal from my bank account. ie) " please accept our apologies for any shortfalls in customer service and any inconvenience" The final statements I have received still state "estimated" and the gas statement contains deductions for electricity.
Scottish power have kept in touch....writing to me to suggest applying to their hardship fund if i am unable to pay their bills..unfortunatley this was addressed to and opened by my neighbour but with my name and someone elses account details......UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I note that suposed improvement to their service still require 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone.
I would like to thank OVO my new supplier in providing all the help and evidence of their efforts in dealing with Scottish Power to try and sort this out.
