What have Priory Medical done to the GP service in Fulford, ? for what it purports to be it may as well not exist getting an appointment is nigh on impossible? The system they use is like a mine field for some having to fill in name address etc this needs updating must be an easier way my wife and probably a lot of people just cant do it or cope with it I wonder if Private patients have the same problem or is that the answer do they want every one to go private so that Doctors can get even more money out of the public. The money it takes from the NHS could maybe better spent on AI, AI would work 24/7in fact if AI took over it maybe for the better, probably save the NHS millions and get better patient service, It seems Priory Fulford have a lot of patients but only a few doctors. I can not remember the last time I had a check up. Its about time GP docs worked week ends like every one else,I remember when a GP had peoples respect but I think those days are long gone that ended with Covid. Some times I wish one could buy meds without going through the surgery doctors? It could maybe happen one day.
Deeply distressing experience with a Psychotherapist
Was deeply retraumatised from early childhood trauma experiences, was sent to Dr Moghul as my only choice by my health insurance. I was mid 40s at the time and he asked me to bring my family, I’m single so took my mother in, he luridly asked what our relationship was thinking she was my girlfriend, seriously weird and a reason I thought he had the wrong patient notes. From the very moment I walked in he simply wanted to put me on strong medication I didn’t need and told me I had paranoid personality disorder. He persisted on that track for the first 45 minutes of the session. I’d only had about 3 hours sleep and was deeply vulnerable. I’ve only just discovered he’s put that diagnosis on my health record from one session! As a recovering alcoholic sober for 13 years, I’d agreed with the priory as at least they had some understanding of life in recovery, this guy fully admitted he didn’t know anything about addiction. He also kept saying “is this the real Simon I’m talking to”. It was deeply distressing, I’ve only just found out he’d put that on my record as my GP called to discuss. I will be looking to log a formal complaint, the guy should be struck off. I went through the primary for primary treated many years ago, I will never be returning after this experience
I unorganised
I wish I had read the reviews before wasting so much precious time trying to find a therapist.
From the very beginning, getting in touch with the service was unnecessarily difficult. There doesn't seem to be one central phone line for people trying to arrange online therapy, and I was repeatedly transferred between departments and locations, often ending up in the wrong place.
Eventually, I did manage to get a therapist, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, she was completely unsuitable and provided one of the worst therapy experiences I've had. It left me questioning how therapists are assessed.
The whole process was stressful, time-consuming and incredibly frustrating at a point when you're already seeking help.
Thankfully, I didn't have to pay out of pocket as I was using PMI, because I would have been even more disappointed had I paid privately for this experience.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend doing your research and reading reviews carefully before committing to this service.
I have been receiving private ADHD care…
I have been receiving private ADHD care through Priory and have now had to escalate my complaint to Stage 2.
My concerns relate mainly to medication management, communication, medical records and continuity of care.
I repeatedly raised that methylphenidate was not providing sufficient benefit and asked to discuss switching back to lisdexamfetamine. My July clinic letter recorded that lisdexamfetamine could be considered if my GP was willing to accept shared care once I was stable. However, I was subsequently informed that my consultant would no longer prescribe or oversee lisdexamfetamine and would be ending my care.
One of my biggest concerns is the inconsistency around continuity of treatment. I was originally given written documentation stating that my methylphenidate Shared Care Agreement was valid until February 2027. The subsequent complaint response stated that specialist oversight would instead continue for only up to eight weeks while I found another provider. I have now asked Priory to explain why this changed.
I also raised concerns about inaccurate information in a clinic letter regarding my housing situation, problems with my contact details being updated, and whether correspondence was actually sent to the correct details.
I have since had to arrange another private psychiatrist appointment at an additional cost of £425 to obtain another medication review.
Priory did respond to my Stage 1 complaint, but I remain dissatisfied with a number of the answers and have therefore requested a Stage 2 internal review.
I will update this review once the Stage 2 process has concluded.
Worked for the Priory in the customer…
Worked for the Priory in the customer service centre, I lost a baby and went off sick, because i didn't call them when my sick note ran out, i got sacked. Do you think as a female that's just physically lost a baby from her body cares about work? I literally couldn't eat, sleep or leave my home, i was a mess. For a healthcare company it's disgusting, all you've done is add more stress. Im never going to get over my loss and will always remember on top how work added to it.
I'm expected to have perfect mental health when literally my world just fell apart
Disappointing, ineffective.
Disappointing. My most positive experience was with the receptionist, who had more compassion in one finger than the therapist who made no difference whatsoever.

Absolutely joke
Absolutely joke, avoid avoid avoid. I’ve never been facing so many problems with payment, miss communication, and other admin problems with any hospital and medical care provider before. Check all hidden costs and other expenses before you sign any documents and check everything twice. Absolutely not recommend it. It’s a lot of other private hospitals in Birmingham where you can get far better services

A very unprofessional experience for me. I was charged twice £99 for an Triage assessment which never happend. That appointment was made 3 times and each time, i was waiting for the video call which didn't happened then i'd call Priory to ask if anyone was available to talk to me and every time i was told "It's not written in the diary, but we we can rechedule" then i see a 2nd payment out of my accound followed by another a letter from Priory confirming an appointment which had never happend! I am just in shock. I have spoken to Molly from accounts and afew other people there a good few times for the 1st rwfund, i didn't see it coming that i'd have to waste so much of my time on another unauthorised payment . I was left with no choice but to record the interaction with them to show to police for evidence.

I have to say I wish I had seen these reviews before my son started at Priory Dunvegan, particularly Tom George's review from June 2025. At first things seemed fine but there were signs, however over the last few weeks my Autistic non verbal son has been going through the worst time of his life and having continuous meltdowns because of his needs by far not being met. I could go on forever about all the problems I'm facing however I will say that I will not rest until my son is safe, happy and in a place that actually meets his needs and care requirements. All his benefits and more go on this inadequate place and I could kick myself for allowing this to happen, who would know though until you go through it?

Dreadful experience from the start
Dreadful experience from the start. Before I'd even seen a therapist, I'd been offered the 12th & 19th June which I accepted. I emailed them to ask them for confirmation of these dates & was completely ignored. I was then offered 5th June today. Just got here & they said I don't have an appointment even though I showed them the email confirmation of today. Before they told me that I couldn't have today, I was told to pay £400 immediately before I saw the therapist and then straight after was told they don't have me booked in. The greeting we got when we entered reception wasn't exactly great either. I told her I had an appointment & that I was there to see Dr Rahman and the receptionist Jacqueline just replied 'well he's not here yet' I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Have you got a couple of days!
Have you got a couple of days!. I really should not have been surprised when I decided to apply for a senior post within the Eating disorders team after looking at the trust pilot reviews. Unfortunately it was the worst experience I have endured during my highly successful 40 year experience in nursing and management. Within a week I was informed three ward managers had left together with with three senior managers. I really could not believe how unbelievably the ROEHAMPTON PRIORY was managed or more so mismanaged. Within a week two patients had taken potential serious overdoses and they basically took no notice of my recommendations and continually booked bank or agency nurses to carry out one to one nursing. They gave no support whatsoever. On top of this the medical/clinical care for the Eating disorders was particularly unsafe and of a very poor standard. I could go on though I'm afraid a year on I feel it is my responsibility to let all the public and professionals know my experience. What is even more disturbing is that despite reporting my concerns to the CEO and the care care quality commission, the former did not reply and the latter said they would investigate though never reported back. Whatever you do, particularly if you have a loved one suffering with an Eating disorder ,do not even think about referring. If you need help contact the Maudsley and contact Dr Janet Treasure for recommendations.

If you have the money to pay for private therapy than don't choose The Priory Chelmsford. I was referred there for EMDR for trauma therapy. My therapist Sue was lovely and we did a lot of prep for EMDR, it went on for ages, before starting actual EMDR. I only had one session of EMDR itself after all the prep, then unfortunately Sue was taken ill. She emailed at first to say she was signed off then a second email to say she hoped to be back the following week, then I heard nothing from her again. I went through a difficult patch and had holiday then thought after sometine it was odd I'd not heard anything from Sue or Priory. Almost 2 months later after they emailed trying to sell me a follow up with psychiatrist Dr Sharma, that was the first contact I'd had from them in 2 months with no therapy. They apologised and said they thought my therapist had been in touch and I replied confirming my last contact with her was some time ago. I then received a call from Danielle who claimed she was trying to help me and obviously has no training in dealing with patients who are upset. Funny considering she works in mental health establishment. There was no empathy for me as a patient and the position Id been left in, just was sent to try and save face and book me in with another therapist. What I find disgusting is that they kept blaming the no contact for so long on my therapist Sue who is so sick she has been off work for months! I said Sue works for Priory not independently, why has no one been managing her patients and checking up on them all along? They provided no support while Sue was off and If Id been offered a replacement therapist sooner, maybe someone who had been checking up on me regularly as a stand in, I would have gone with it as I would still be in the flow of therapy. They only rang to try and book me in with another therapist when they heard she wasn't coming back. After 2 months I can't bring myself to start again, it's a really difficult process to just stop and start. Therapy is exhausting especially trauma therapy and Danielle had no compassion or understanding of this. They just blamed it on Sue for getting ill, which is not my issue, my issue is, Priory should have had Sue's and her patients' backs. They should not be dealing with vulnerable people at this place. Avoid. I wish Sue well but hope she finds a job somewhere else when she is better.

Strip away the 10 commandments from essentially this pagan soil and you have the laws of Noah.
Look on companies house here the priory and the drs will lead you to Masons too often (deconstructors of gods and Gods and what is fair) and constructors of courts of justice (please don’t make me laugh your better off playing the lottery). You’ll meet people here at this place representing all including egregors of royals, those who hurt you, those who would WELSH on admittance of liability and Welsh on payment to make better AND not repair or make better despite written agreement , if you understand this you’ll understand their court bastardfies English and meaning often .You’ll have staff acuse you of hitting them (a setup from go)to discredit you. Never b4 in 25 NHS years! You’ll leave here more physically disabled and NOT enabled though if you are a mason they might sacrifice and use a non mason as a spare part for you.if the priory if are independent do better/don’t lie or wanted to help and the court is fair who knows. They wouldnt just make peace they would be holy but they weren’t wanting that.
I doubt…. Any how. Where there is an injury there is a jury (with no God it is corrupt here) and with the paper trail leading back to unkind M’s witch witches and welshing, a realm of horror stolen wives and husbands here is a future of disablement, pain stolen opportunity could all be that’s left for you. shame on you, they can open the matrix ,give compensation , repair their pals injuries etc who make disablement and disfigure your biological body and mind their cronies caused OR make it worse, thanless you are one of those who avoid parking tickets, you know who you are avoid this lieing agent of corruption if you can otherwise congratulations you got back what you deserve, but these places, this setup is notorious and oh btw those witch dodge parking tickets and cause great harm I have witnessed you do come back in a sorry state until, crying emoji and it does get worse, you can’t wash off some stuff you get one opportunity no tendering good bad and bad for good will help #dodgy broken promises corruption immoral world of pain kidnap jobe matrix free lunch and quite obviously evil #death coming more pain what’s next, reincarnation, never ending heven vs heaven. Making a p file next time? Trust in good power
I truly feel very mixed about Priory…
I truly feel very mixed about Priory Roehampton.
I’d like to give my consultant and some of the nurses & HCAs 5 stars. There were also some pretty average nurses, and a couple of awful (new) healthcare assistants who would get no stars at all. I got a lot from the therapy at first, but when a genuine crisis happened on our ward the whole team proved to be working too much from protocol and not enough from their hearts.
The hospital was slow to act when spaces became unsafe, which was dangerous.
I’d recommend this place if you’re absolutely desperate to save your own life, and want a good doctor, but safeguarding really does need improving and ultimately a hospital can only be as good as it is safe.

World Class treatment
I have been under the care of Dr Maria Ivanov. I have also had CBT with Lydia Hanane.
I can definitely say that I have had world class treatment and care. I thoroughly recommend using the Priory services.
I cannot thank Maria and Lydia enough for helping me regain my strength and skillfully manage depression.

Excellent Health Care again
It would like to express my sincere thanks for the excellent care I received during my recent procedure at The Priory Hospital Birmingham. Being able to see the same consultant Mr Tariq Ismail on each occasion has made a huge difference to me. His detailed knowledge of my history means I receive care that is genuinely personalised to my circumstances, and I greatly value the time he takes to explain findings and next steps in a way I can understand.
The whole day‑case experience also went very smoothly. All of the staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and highly professional, which helped me feel reassured and well looked after throughout my visit. Please pass on my thanks to the entire team.

AVOID CONTACTING THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE. THEIR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF HAVE NEITHER COMPASSION NOR BASIC EDUCATION IN MENTAL HEALTH SAFETY, LET ALONE ADEQUATE INTELLIGENCE FOR BASIC COMMON SENSE. IF YOU CONTACT THEM, YOU RISK THEM MAKING YOU VERY MUST WORSE BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN MAKE AN ENQUIRY. DO NOT EVEN RISK CONTACT!
Just excellent care
I have just finished a 6 week OT Apprentice placement at Barnt Green and I myself work within Mental Health (NHS). I need to share how fantastic and professional the whole service is. All staff from Reception, maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, therapy, nurses, HCA's, doctors, consultants and management have all been extremely welcoming & supportive and it was very evident this extends within the team itself in how they support, respect, communicate & work with one another, thus creating a structured, calm, warm and family feel atmosphere throughout the building. It is clear they do their best to dissolve the Private/NHS divide & always dever to provide quality care to every patient who walks through their doors & are constantly working together as a team to continue improving the service for their patients.
I only had the privilege to work on the NHS wards Clent & Jubliee (Picu & Acute) and what a privilege! The professional relationships they build with the patients with dedication, advocacy, empathy and understanding while upholding healthy boundaries is outstanding. I never saw a patient being dismissed & every staff member always had time and patience to listen and support their individual needs. Although the wards can be very challenging at times they try their upmost to create a relaxed, kind, safe & friendly environment. And during my 6 weeks I have had the pleasure to witness many patients grow & succed on their journey of healing due the excellent level of care.
And of course a big shout out to the therapy team especially the OT's who are just amazing & provide the patients with a safe space to express themselves freely & promoting independence & coping skills while bringing creativity and fun.
It is not because this is a private service why I speak so highly of Barnt Green but the people within it and would rest easy if my loved one was in receipt of their care.

DO NOT GO TO KINGSTON COURT
the place was a shit while, they ignored people in crisis the kitchen could never get the food right we didn’t go outside they took our phones away and made us contact home through a telephone whilst being watched they refused to accommodate people’s needs when they had special arrangements to help cope due to ban. the only good bit was the education which was like. an space from the ward
Chelmsford.
We took our daughter for what we believed was an assessment. She had been suffering with severe mental health issues for years. She's only 11.
The appointment cost £350. It was almost an hour long. The Psychiatrist could barely be bothered to ask any questions past the generic ones.
She spoke to my daughter for 5 mins alone. She asked her two questions. It was mostly silence, I later heard from my daughter.
We left with a diagnosis of 'separation anxiety ' and a prescription for melatonin, which I myself suggested! £15 for the paper and when reordered I ended up paying over £50 for the tablets for 4 week supply plus the £15 for the prescription. (If she had just sent me the prescription, it would have cost me £15 )
Carried on going through absolute hell with my daughter, to then be told about 'the right to choose ' well! That was the most amazing, thorough experience. They went so deep into her history and completed so many interviews with both of us. As it should be.
We came out of that with an Austism diagnosis.
