Wonderful idea. I’m obsessed! Saved over 4K and 6 months so far. Only downside is I’m waiting tentatively for the app to include the cash card on Apple then I’ll be spending and saving on my mortgage even more ❤️

What a great App! Recent upgrades make it more attractive & easier to top up some gift cards.

This is a good app once set up, I’ve used successfully with Sainsbury, marks and Spencer, Asda, Matalan to name a few.

You need to double check that the retailer will accept the gift card online if that’s how you’re shopping as I had issues with a couple (Tesco/atg), but strive have generally been good at refunding these purchases.

The app sometimes won’t load in areas of poor signal, so advise to purchase your gift cards outside the stores, screenshot the barcode so it’s easier when you’re in store. This isn’t really sprives issue- just a tip from me.

It’s great to be chipping away at the mortgage with shopping that I’d be doing anyway!

I love this app. Why not get a little bit back from your spending. I use it mainly with Sainsbury's and Tesco, so I get my supermarket points, and a little bit back for my mortgage. Nothing to lose!

Good for the vouchers etc but if you get the anywhere card it's hit or miss if it works. I got one and cannot check the balance at all anymore as the emails are not working. Have contacted Sprive via email but no response as of yet, the help number it gives you in the chat is a USA one and is AI/Automated slop that costs a fortune. If things don't approve it will be getting binned off

Great App easy to use and save ££££ on your Mortgage

I bought a £400 anywhere card through sprive. The card is meant to work anywhere that accepts Mastercard, well so far I have tried to use it at Amazon, Argos and Very and none accept the card.

The card company are refusing me a refund. Sprive are not helping me.

I have been conned out of £400. Found that many other people have the same issue yet Sprive continue to allow their, obviously uncalled, customers to pay for these sham cards.

It’s only small amounts but can make a big difference to your mortgage over time. Easy to use and very satisfying to send the money over to your mortgage.

Really like the cards that can be topped up again and again, don't understand why it's not the same system for all, don't like the one time gift cards, because I tend to underspend on buying them so that I can pay the extra on my debit card, rather than getting left with a tiny amount on a gift card. Don't like that you can only use a debit card, sometimes just before pay day all you've got is a credit card, but can't use that, also I have 2 debit cards, but can only join one account so if I need to use money from the other account I have to transfer it between bank accounts.

The concept is great for online but the practical aspect is quite consuming when you have to create barcodes for the exact amount especially when you’re at a checkout. I think what’s especially unfair is the fact you have to recommend a friend to unlock loads of additional brands.

We're really glad we've found sprive and have manged to earn over a couple of hundred pounds collectively between myself and my husband over the last few months just by buying things we would have anyway.
I just wish there was other ways to enter the prize draw as there's only so many times you can share your referral online without people assuming its a scam or you've been hacked. Would be nice to earn prize draw entries by completing other goals such as spending etc. Otherwise, great idea 👍

Been using this for a while now after seeing it on Dragons Den. But we’ve decided it’s just not worth it.

I use lots of different supermarkets and its heavily dependant on the phone signal at checkouts, the supermarkets I shop in tend not to have great signals.

Not always clear what the balance is on vouchers and you have to refresh it each time to get your current balance. You have to be super organised to sort your vouchers before heading into a supermarket. Unfortunately a lot of the time you don’t realise there’s an issue until you’re at the self checkout about to pay with a long queue behind you! I haven’t come across any supermarket employee who’s heard of the app either.

I do A LOT of food shopping but I’m just not seeing enough of a dent in my mortgage to carry on using the app.

Also as it can only be used with your debit account, if we’re getting a bit low on funds towards the end of the month, I might put my shopping on my credit card but I’m not making any savings that way.

I’m a regular Morrisons and Amazon shopper and when I first started using the app, they were on the list but they’ve been removed now.

I will say, when I’ve had an issue, customer service have always got back to me and tried to help. I love the idea of it but it still needs a lot of work. I’ll have a break from it and check back in a few months and see if it’s improved.

I am very pleased with the Anywhere card that they have introduced, as I have now been able to save even more money on things like my car insurance, petrol and shopping on Shein.

Twice we've gone into an unarraged overdraft because of Sprive. Firstly they took 3 lots of a transaction and none of them worked costing us £375.

Now we've added £300 to their prepaid use anywhere card and it just gets declined everywhere! So we've got £300 stuck on a useless card and nobody is responding to us

I bought the £300 Sprive anywhere card and it is not being accepted by any retailers. I have tried 10+ large retailers with no joy. Waiting on a response from Sprive... will keep this up to date.

However I have purchased other gift cards with no issues, just wouldn't recommend anywhere card. Hopefully Sprive provide a fix or refund.

Been using it for 1 month now, and once you get used to the system (and how easy it is) it is a great app/tool/service.
It baffled both me and the supermarket the first time I tried it, but it is now very simple, and we use it at several retailers. We've taken over £20 off the mortgage in a month, so £35 including saved interest. I recommend giving it a go.

Really simple to use with more brands being added all the time. It's made making small overpayments easy

Great concept and relatively user friendly. Hate the boosts, regular payback rates are a lot lower than other cashback providers and if you can offer the higher rates why not always? Don't like feeling goaded into spending more than I would normally and therefore hardly ever experiencing a boost.

Its a lot of work for small amounts. The good is you build up some money to overpay your mortgage. The bad is that shopping normally you build up tiny amounts. I noticed that my sister was getting double the rates I was getting (not on a boost) and asked sprive why. They wont provide any sensible explanation so it seems that different people get different cashback rates which is not really fair. Overall- it does do what it says but im not sure its worth the hassle- for the rates im getting at least.

Was recommended this by family to chip away at the mortgage interest. Easy to use and have taken chunks off without any changes to spending habits. Only slight issue is the homepage being unclear at times with how things are calculated. But I am seeing results so I am happy with it.
