I contacted customer support and Maha investigated the problem, then sent a new package to me at no additional charge. Gentle Paws has top notch customer service! Thank you so much! 😁

The collar made a difference with my 13yo female cat, pretty much as soon as I put it on her. The peeing on everything has almost completely stopped, and while she still hisses at the other cats, she’s stopped beating them up… she’s even eaten her dinner next to them without issues. Everyone, including me, is much happier and more relaxed. Great product!

I would like to start off by saying that I never write a bad review until I’ve had the opportunity to discuss the issue with the company. We read the instructions and put the collar on our two cats as instructed. and although it says to just watch them for 10 minutes, we watch them one whole day. We made sure that they were put on correctly. Our cats do not have any issues wearing collars so that wasn’t a problem and we checked constantly to make sure there was no issues or reactions. Unfortunately, we were not checking under their chins underneath the collars as we thought looking at the back thinking that was good enough. On the fifth day one of my cats was lying on top of me and I happen to see a little spot under the collar. I moved it and was horrified at what I found. All of my cats fur was gone underneath the collar and his neck was burnt and blistered and raw my heart was broken. I immediately removed the collar to care to my cats wounds. I was very disappointed when I wrote to the company to explain to them what had happened in order for them to be informed that there was definitely an issue with the collar. I hadn’t read anywhere of this potential reaction and thought they would firstly want to know this so they can let people know to watch out for it. I also wanted as promised the hundred percent back refund. Their response was very disappointing. Firstly, there was no care or concern about my Cat and why this had happened secondly, I was informed that you only get a refund on unused product. How can this possibly make sense? How can somebody not use a product and get a 100% refund? You have to try it and this was only after five days. I was very upset to say the least plus they wanted me to return any unused products. They weren’t concerned about the cost involved for the care or treatment of my severely injured cat.They were more interested in getting their collar back so they could I guess resell them it seems this company is all about the money. After several emails they agreed to refund the used product but have requested I return it. So I have to take the time and money to return used merchandise for what reason - are they going to repackage this and sell it - ew. I sent pics of my cats injuries so they know I didn’t make it up. When I did not get the response that I should have and expected to get by a reputable company I posted my concern on their social media. Well guess what all of a sudden I can no longer see it or access it. I thought maybe this was a rare occurrence but now I’m wondering if they filter any negative comments from their social media and block them from reposting. I mean things can happen - but why don’t you want people to know there is a potential of a reaction and to watch out for it for more than 10 minutes. I’m so very sad that my poor furbaby is suffering and that a company that is supposed to be about caring for animals is so callous and just cares about $

OMG!!! These collars are amazing. They stopped my cats from peeing up the walls inside every day.

I can’t recommend due to several transparency and customer service concerns.

I purchased the calming collar hoping it might help with tension between my cats. The company disclosed feline facial pheromones, maternal appeasing pheromones, and valerian, but said the complete inactive ingredient list (98%) was proprietary.

I then asked very simple 'yes/no' questions about whether the collar contains added fragrance, other botanicals, alcohol/solvents, CBD/hemp, pesticides, or phthalates/plasticizers. I wasn’t asking for their proprietary formula - just whether those categories of ingredients were present. I followed up more than once and never received an answer. I also asked on a Facebook ad, and that comment was deleted.

I also could not find clear information on where the product is actually manufactured or who the manufacturer is, which added to my concerns about transparency.

Their subscription policy says you can cancel “at any time,” but my account would not allow me to cancel because it required two payments first. After I emailed about this, they did cancel the subscription, which I appreciated, but I only received the automated cancellation confirmation and no actual, genuine response to my concerns at all.

I’d also encourage customers to carefully read the advertised 30-day money-back guarantee. Their ads say to put the collar on your cat and give it 30 days. If not satisfied, request your money back. However, their general refund policy says products must be returned in original condition. So NO, you will not get your money back for the collars you actually have to open to try. Very scammy marketing.

For a product meant to stay on a cat continuously, ingredient transparency and responsive customer service matter to me. Super disappointing.

-- And yet with your reply to my review, you still did not answer my questions and confirm whether the ingredients above are in the collar yes or no? I don't see how it is that hard to confirm these. I'm not asking about the active ingredients that are listed. Also, you only emailed back to confirm my subscription was canceled after I left this bad review and still did not answer my questions. 😆

Definitely a noticeable improvement in our older cat’s temperament whilst we reintroduce her to our 1 y.o.

She seems a lot more relaxed, purring often and, although not exactly best buds, the relationship between the two is a lot less fraught and there are signs of improving.

I've tried so many different diffusers, and honestly, I think some made things worse between my two cats. I ordered these collars praying they'd work, because they had the maternal pheromone as well as the other pheromone. The maternal pheromone is the answer!!!! Almost immediately I noticed positive behavioral differences & their interactions between the two were less stressed. One even became so cuddly like when she was a kitten, making biscuits and sucking on the blanket. Crazy!
So, I have to give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for actually doing what they claim. Customer Service were prompt, friendly & accommodating, which is always a big plus in my book.

To say these do not work would be an understatement and an insult against the English language.
In order to correctly underline how the product didn’t work, the meaning of ‘not working’ in the English dictionary would need to be updated.
So do not waste your money.
These are the greatest grift of tomfoolery online targeting concerned pet owners. Do not buy.

The Gentle paws collars definitely have made a difference with our cats toilet habits for the better and she is definitely a lot more relaxed and calmer.
Usually takes effect after 5 days and last about another 2 weeks before having to change the collar, so really impressed, it's a shame they do not last longer as it can become costly having to keep purchasing collars, but I think the positive will eventually out weigh the cost, highly recommend.

I tried the Gentle Paws Calming Collar with a couple of my cats, and I had a pretty good experience overall. I did notice that my youngest, who is 2, seemed calmer while wearing it, although he scratched at the collar quite a bit because he wasn't thrilled about having something around his neck. One of my older male cats wears his with no problem at all, and honestly, I think he needs it because he's getting a little grumpy in his old age! One thing I especially appreciate is the breakaway mechanism. That makes me feel much better about having my cats wear a collar because it adds an extra level of safety if they get caught on something. I also didn't notice a strong odor from the collar, which I liked. Overall, I think it's a nice option for cats who need a little extra help staying calm, especially if they're already comfortable wearing a collar.

My cat became SO territorial lately that she started attacking my roommate and basically anyone who came into our appartment. I was constantly apologizing to people and started avoiding having friends over because I was scared of what she might do.

I bought this collar not expecting much, just desperate to try something... and I swear from DAY ONE she was different. She just seemed settled?? calmer?? Like she could finally relax instead of being on guard all the time. My roommate even asked me what happened to her 😂

Seeing her calm around people again is such a huge relief, I cant even explain it. I really hope it keeps going like this because so far I'm shocked. Will 100% be subscribing next month, I don't wanna be without these now.

We are the proud parents of 4 old age pensioners! Our girls as they are ageing , they are 20, 18, 17 & 15 yrs ,were becoming a little stressed, crying a bit at night & sometimes searching for us if they couldn’t see us anywhere. We put the collars on the eldest & wow what a difference! Our other two ladies have joined them! Peace reigns supreme in our home , with calm happy social fur babies . Thank you for your wonderful product the collars have helped our elderly girls immensely.

My cat was nearly strangled because the product lacks safety measures, such as a breakaway or quick-release mechanism. This product is dangerous.
They automatically sign you up for a 3 months supply and do not allow cancellation until they take your money. This is so wrong.

In response to gentle paws response:
The collar arrived in a small box. No instructions. Had i had access to your safety instructions, i certainly would have implemented it and spared my cat and myself the horror of seeing him struggling with the collar, which he had attempted to remove and had gotten it into his mouth resulting in holding his bottom jaw open and he has his neck twisted at an unnatural angle in a total panic.
I've since attempted to implement the instructions provided here and have been unsuccessful. It's not as simple as you've implied.

Regarding the subscription, that is a very misleading response. You must click the box agreeing to the subscription in order to complete the sale. What is not clearly stated is your policy of forcing a consumer to purchase 3 orders of this product.
In my account, you've already got the charges on deck through the rest is the year.
Again, had it been made abundantly clear that I had to pay what amounts to about 75.00 for these plastic, low scented, ineffective little death traps, i would have skipped this experience altogether.
I would greatly appreciate being released from your subscription policy immediately instead of being forced to participate in what basically amounts to theft.

So I have placed several orders and they are always very quick and responsive. There was a mistake with my last order, but they were quick to fix it and very gracious about it. Would highly recommend as they have great customer service!

They work great for my anxious cat. He is so much calmer and happy. The order came quickly.

I ordered the collars out of desperation when my Maine Coon did not readily accept my much smaller rescue cat. The collar helps keep her mellow and although acceptance has been slow to come, by the time I put on the second collar I saw them touching noses! I intend to keep these collars in my arsenal of tricks to keep my cats happy and content.

If a negative star was available, I would give it that. The collar didn't work, my cat actually got more aggressive. I bought directly through the company because they offered a money back guarentee. I bought 3 and got one free for $64 with high hopes. I had to send 3 back at my own expense with a week to get any response from customer service. After over a week with it being shown delivered, they responded with I would get a refund when they received it (although they already had). Two weeks later they email that they will refund $32. This is half of what I paid. The customer service is terrible, the product is terrible. Buyer beware!
Edited---I used one of the 4 collars that I bought and returned 3 so you didn't refund correctly. I stand on the horrible customer service since you can respond to a negative review in minutes when it has been taking you weeks----AGAIN BUYER BEWARE
My information is not false. I returned all but one collar so if you say I ordered 6 then you only sent 4 and again are misrepresenting yourself. I would never spend this much time on a false review! My experience is true and valid and you have been terrible to work with!

These collars are fantastic. Had the diffusers which were great but these are so much better as they go with your cat wherever he goes, instead of just the certain rooms that have plug ins.
