I had a minor damage on my sunglasses and took them to OWNDAYS Opticals at Dubai Mall for repair. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if they would be able to fix them, but I decided to trust their team.

I was genuinely impressed with the service. They repaired my sunglasses perfectly, with great care and professionalism. There were no additional scratches or damage, and they looked as good as new when I got them back.

I’m very happy with the quality of the repair and the excellent customer service. Thank you to the team at OWNDAYS Opticals for your outstanding work. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and professional optical services.

I am disappointed with my overall experience with Owndays and would not recommend them based on my personal experience.

I purchased a pair of progressive glasses in August 2025 and collected them in September 2025. The total cost was about S$1,058, including a frame costing around S$158 and premium progressive lenses. While I understand that quality eyewear can be expensive, I expected the workmanship, product quality and after-sales service to match the premium price.

Unfortunately, from the beginning, the progressive lenses never felt right. I experienced dizziness and felt that the focal point seemed to shift while wearing them. Even after wearing them for an extended period, my eyes felt tired by the end of the day. When I switched back to my previous pair of glasses, I did not experience the same discomfort. It felt as though the focal point of the progressive lenses was positioned too high and was not optimally fitted for me.

Another issue was the frame. The nose bridge did not provide enough support, causing the glasses to slip, which further affected the positioning of the progressive lenses.

The biggest disappointment came on 5 July 2026, when the nose bridge of the frame suddenly snapped. The glasses had not been dropped, stepped on or mishandled in any way. They simply broke during normal use, less than a year after I collected them. I have owned many pairs of glasses over the years and have never had a frame break like this under normal use.

When I returned to the store, I discovered that the replacement options were extremely limited. I was told that my existing lenses could only fit the exact same frame model and colour. I wanted to change to another frame with better nose support, hoping it would improve the fit and comfort, but was told that I could not change to a different frame model. I found this very inflexible, especially considering the fitting issues I had experienced. If I wanted to choose a different frame, the lenses would have to be cut and reshaped, which meant additional cost and complications. As a result, I had no real choice but to accept the exact same frame again. This also meant I could not switch to a frame with better nose bridge support to improve the fit of my progressive lenses. I found this process very rigid and lacking flexibility, especially for a premium-priced pair of glasses. Making matters more unpleasant, they do not allow a change to another colour of the same frame.

Despite the frame failing within a year, I was still required to pay for a replacement frame (albeit at a discounted price). I found this disappointing because the damage was not due to misuse but appeared to be a quality issue. For a product at this price point, I expected better durability and stronger after-sales support.

Overall, I felt let down in several areas:

- Premium pricing that did not translate into premium quality.
- Progressive lenses that never felt properly fitted and caused discomfort.
- A frame that broke unexpectedly within a year under normal use.
- Very rigid replacement policies that left me with virtually no flexibility to choose a different frame that might improve the fit.
- After-sales service that still required additional payment despite what I believe was a product quality problem.

This review reflects my personal experience and unfortunately, based on that experience, I would not recommend Owndays.

The company was great with offering an in house eye doctor for immediate grading, stating all the amenities and making sure I had the best experience and quality glasses appropriate for me! A worker named Lem at mitsukoshi branch was very helpful 🙏

Worst experience ever at Owndays!
I bought a trade-in voucher but couldn’t use it for a new frame. The “1-for-1 50% off” promotion is only valid on the same day—so rigid I couldn’t use it at another shop. The outlet at Toa Payoh had a super rude manager who interrupted me halfway through talking and even cut my line. Terms and conditions are extremely unclear, and the service was absolutely lousy. Extremely frustrating experience!

At causeway point the own days stores always look extra bright and appealing, there are many big posters with discounts at the store front, thus, i decided to go and purchase my spectacles from them.

i have been looking for a different type of lens, at the other stores there weren't many lenses to choose from but from owndays i was spoilt with so many choices , i eventually purchased the anti-fog lenses at an affordable price .

I bought a pair of Owndays Prestige progressive glasses in early 2022 from Plaza Singapura (over SGD 500). They were only worn occasionally, not daily, yet after just three years the frame snapped completely. For a premium product at this price point, I expected much better durability.

When I went back to the store, I was told the frame had been discontinued and was out of stock everywhere. I was offered an ill-fitting replacement frame at full price, with just a $30 reduction for reusing my existing lenses. Alternatively, I could pay over $400 for a new set of lenses and frames — without any goodwill discount or recognition of being a loyal customer.

For me, this is not what premium service or quality looks like. Instead of standing by their products, the response felt transactional and focused on upselling.

Owndays markets itself as affordable, stylish, and reliable — but my experience shows otherwise. If you’re considering buying, I’d strongly advise asking upfront about frame durability and what after-sales support you’ll actually receive if something goes wrong.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at one of the local store in Shipei, Taiwan, and due to both the poor customer service and inflexible return policy, I would strongly advise against purchasing from this brand.

Here’s what happened: I purchased four boxes of disposable contact lenses as part of a “buy 3, get 1 free” promotion. Only two boxes were in stock at the time, but I agreed to pay for all four and return later to pick up the remaining two. After trying one box, I experienced discomfort and returned to request a refund. I was even willing to pay for the opened box and return the rest unopened.

To my surprise, I was told that the store has a strict no-return policy—something I was never informed of at the time of purchase. I was offered an exchange instead, but as a visitor with no friends or family to pass the products on to, this was not a viable solution. I also made it clear I had no interest in keeping four boxes of lenses that clearly didn’t work for me.

While the store manager did follow up with their headquarters over two days, they ultimately stood by their no-return stance. Since this store only carries its own product line, I strongly caution potential buyers: this is a company that prioritizes policy over customer care and offers limited product options with zero flexibility if something doesn’t work out. Buyer beware.

I bought a pair of glasses around 6 months ago at own days Dubai- . I lost them after 2 weeks while travelling to London. I requested from the shop where they should have all the technical details of my previous pair and they said they had all the details in the system. The original was progressive for near and room distance. the new one was only for near. I went back to clear the issue and turned down my claim saying that my eyesight has changed. I am sure that they were progressive but the sales assistant claims that they were normal reading glasses originally.

Very very good experience. I truly feel as though all of the employees not only work hard, but also genuinely care about my eye health. There is concern in the doctor’s voice. The employees greeted me with a smile. Very professional and polite. I was right when I heard that Owndays has very good customer service. I also got high definition lenses because of their promo.

I bought lense from Lenskart, came to know the Ken’s is iwndays. After I got the spectacle I found the lense gives additional image in green at an upper level, making it more difficult to drive. Added is street lights adding image in green.
My complaint fell on deaf ears of Lenskart and charged the (as claimed by them), found the same problem. Having spent for lens, no vslue for money.

Store location at Hysan Place Hong Kong has terrible unprofessional staff. Went today Saturday at approx 1130, there were 4-5 staff, went into store for approximately 5 mins but no one came to our assistance. All staff stayed by the back wall, they did let out a big yell to recognize a friend/another staff/delivery person which startled us, it was then we decided to leave disgusted at their lack of customer service skills. Would never trust them to handle my eyeglass needs.

I went to the owndays store in Taoyuan Taiwan.
Iris helped us. She was patient and really did an amazing job testing my eyesight and after the test was done i could see perfectly.
I was so happy I got 3 pairs of glasses.

I was at the Owndays outlet at Bukit Panjang Plaza last evening, slightly before 8pm. My husband wanted to get a pair of progressive lenses. After taking down his particulars, a member of the staff – a man – said that there would be two before him for the eye test. We went to the Don Don Donki outlet shortly after 8pm and returned 20 minutes later. A female staff member told my husband he was next.

While we were waiting outside the eye-test room, a man appeared and stood outside. When the optician/optometrist came out of the testing room, the female staff said I would be next in line. The optician took what looked like a random box on a counter and asked my husband if the name on the sheet of paper was his. he said no, because it was not his name, and the optician/optometrist rudely asked him, then who is this? Like, seriously, how the hell is he supposed to know? My husband told the optometrist his name, which he ignored, and went looking for the person whose name was on the sheet of paper. We are not sure what happened, as I tried speaking to the staff but they all appeared intent on ignoring me. The man who had appeared while we were waiting conveniently went in!

So we held our peace and waited.

After what seemed like 45 minutes, the man came out, and as my husband prepared to go in, another client mysteriously and miraculously appeared! So the female staff said that to the optometrist that it was that guy’s turn, because “he went to eat”. She and all of the other staff ignored me as I protested that it was supposed to be our turn. Yes, ignored. Unless they were deaf, they would have heard me.

But the point is, nstead of being next in line, my husband was made to wait because two people magically emerged and suddenly, it was their turn!

It was 9pm by then and my husband and I decided we would not wait because people kept showing up before his turn.

If anything, Owndays has been consistent about one thing – and that is providing very poor service.

Several years back, my son – who is autistic – was made to wait at your Jurong Point outlet.

And before that, when my husband wanted a pair of glasses with a slight tint at the AMK Hub outlet, one of your staff insisted that he should get a darker one, and when he said he wanted a light tint, he was told it would become lighter once they processed the lens. That never happened. He ended up having a pair of sunglasses with prescription lenses.

We will be using our neighbourhood optician or Lenskart in future.

I visited Owndays at SM Central Olongapo, and they provided excellent service for me and my daughter. The staff was friendly and helpful, without being pushy, and gave us the time to choose what we wanted. The doctor was very knowledgeable and paid attention to every detail, from taking care of our eyeglasses to explaining the warranty and benefits of Owndays products.

I own a pair last year from owndays Dubai mall outlet & based on the experience, I encouraged my Dad to go to owndays Dubai Hills Mall as it was the nearest but this this time the experience was completely opposite.
-The customer service team was not attentive & not curious to your request.
- Once we received the finished spectacles, to my surprise non branded cheap carrying case was provided and without the cleaning cloth. I felt as if I have ordered from any street shop. Where as I got a branded case with 2 cleaning cloths when I had bought mine spectacles from Dubai mall.
- I don’t know if this is changed by the brand or by this particular outlet.
- upon receiving there was no final check done by the customer team member to make sure all is fine with the order. Until we tried & asked for few adjustments such as tightening the specs arms etc.. after doing so again didn’t bother to reconfirm if it’s ok or not.
- The frame selection is reduced tremendously. Cannot compare it with Dubai Mall outlet.
- No discount is offered until you ask, where as at Dubai Mall outlet the team are excellent who inform you about the available discounts such as ESSAD etc.
- I felt so embarrassed in front of my Dad as I had spoken so high about “OWNDAYS”.
- I don’t think we shall return at least to the Dubai Hills Mall outlet.

I visited Owndays Causeway Points & was served by Ken Cheong. He is very experienced & patiently listen to my unusual request to have vision for room & computer distance. Though not advisable but he listen to my request & work out the specific adjustment as an experimental project which may or may not work. I’m very pleased that he is one that listen & willing to try out after telling the pro & con of the project. For his professionalism & experience. I put a thumb up & Thankyou very much for listening to clients.

Good selection of glasses and I was impressed by the speed and ease of the process. Quicker and cheaper than other opticians.
