RomeInLimo has been and will always continue to be our go to for all tours within Italy. We have used them over many years. This year we had the pleasure of doing a Food tour (Naples) and Amalfi coast tour along with a Capri boat ride. When I say everything was perfect, it was a birthday dream come true. They have the best service and their drivers/tour guides are absolutely phenomenal!

Our experience with Rome In Limo was outstanding from start to finish. Jany was straightforward, honest, and incredibly helpful in planning our private tour of Rome during our cruise stop. She warned us about possible last-minute changes when booking tours through some third-party platforms and recommended a reliable ticket broker for our Vatican Museums and Colosseum tickets in case we were unable to get the tickets ourselves. That advice was extremely helpful.

Another huge advantage was that Rome In Limo is licensed to enter the tender area at the Port of Civitavecchia. Our driver, Alberto, was waiting with a sign with my name literally about 50 feet from the ship! With some other companies, you may have to make your way outside the port to meet your driver, which can be a hassle.

Alberto was prompt, super friendly, and went above and beyond for us. We were having trouble communicating with the operator of a buggy tour we wanted to arrange at our next stop in Ajaccio, Corsica. Alberto stepped in, spoke with the operator in Italian, and helped us get everything sorted out. We really appreciated him doing that for us!

Our guides for the Roman Forum/Colosseum and the Vatican Museums were both excellent. Our Colosseum guide took us through a less-crowded entrance where there was literally no one in front of us. Alberto also handled all of our drop-offs and pickups perfectly. At the Vatican, having a guide allowed us to use the direct passage from the Vatican Museums to St. Peter's Basilica, avoiding another long line outside.

It was a long and very hot day, but everything went incredibly smoothly and efficiently. There was even a road closure due to a fire on our way back to the ship, but Alberto was communicating with his network to find the best detour and still got us back to the port with plenty of time to spare.

We were able to see and experience so much of Rome in the limited time we had in port. Great planning, excellent guides, and outstanding service from Alberto. We couldn't have asked for a better family experience in Rome!

My family and I went on a cruise in July that stopped in Rome and Florence. We booked RomeinLimo for both cities and got a discount. Our drivers were waiting for us when we disembarked. The vehicles were very nice and comfortable. Lorenzo was very accommodating and made lunch reservations for us at a very nice restaurant near the Vatican. We all wanted to try gelato and he took us to a small gelato store. Salvatore in Florence was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of information on Pisa and Florence. The drivers made sure to return us to the ship with plenty of time to spare. We will surely use RomeinLimo again.

Rome in Limo was the only way we were able to see everything we wanted to see in the one day we had in Rome. They picked us up at the port and dropped us off at each site for about 20 minutes each. They also arranged a private tour guide at the Vatican for us. It was such a great day! We would highly recommend it!

I highly recommend Rome In Limo for their transfers and tours. I took my granddaughter on her first international trip and Rome was the destination. I used Rome In Limo for a transfer over ten years ago and decided to reach out to them again for help getting tickets and transport. What a great choice! From the moment I filled out my online request, I was in Jany’s good hands. She quickly connected with me and was eager and ready to make my trip come to life. Rome In Limo doesn’t just give you a cookie cutter type of tour. It’s all about you and your preferences. The three day tour I picked was tweaked to accommodate a transfer from the airport and sights were moved around to make the most of our time. They gave us a reputable ticket agent to secure Vatican and Basilica tickets and coordinated the tour timing with our guide. Stefano, our driver for two days couldn’t have been better. He was professional, friendly, prompt, flexible and knowledgeable about all the sights and Rome’s history. We had a couple of special places we wanted to go and it was no problem at all. We wanted to go into the Pantheon and next to the Trevi Fountain and needed tickets. Stefano quickly secured our tickets taking our stress away! After two days with him we came away feeling like we had been traveling with a good friend not just a tour guide. Guilia our guide for the Vatican and St. Peter’s was just as prompt, knowledgeable, warm and friendly, weaving us through the massive crowds and showing us the most important exhibits. Jany, Stefano and Guilia made our Rome experience exceptional. Whatever we needed was handled quickly and seamlessly. What I really appreciated was the level of communication. Jany was always available to answer and reassure me about any concern or question I had. I never felt alone from the moment I made my first request until our final goodbye. It was an awesome feeling to know the Rome In Limo team truly cared about us and wanted to make our trip special, we weren’t just another customer.

This was our third experience with Rome in Limo over the past 10 years, and once again they exceeded our expectations.

Our first experience was when we joined a tour that someone else had arranged. We were so impressed with the professionalism that we booked them ourselves for a return trip to Italy in 2016. On that trip they provided wonderful shore excursions from Livorno to Cinque Terre and from Civitavecchia on their "Alternate Tuscany" tour. Both were outstanding.

Because of those positive experiences, choosing them again for our 2026 Mediterranean cruise was an easy decision. We booked four separate private services, and Rome in Limo once again delivered exceptional service from beginning to end.

A special thank you to Jany, who answered every question promptly and professionally. We made arrangements over many months, and Jany was always patient, organized, and responsive. This communication gave us confidence long before we arrived in Italy.

Airport Transfer (FCO to Hotel Porto di Roma, Civitavecchia):
I arrived in Rome before the rest of my party, and the driver contacted me on WhatsApp after landing. Although the arrivals area was very crowded, he quickly found me after sending him a photo. The Mercedes van was spotless, air-conditioned, and very comfortable. The drive to Civitavecchia was smooth, and I arrived relaxed after a long international flight.

Naples Shore Excursion – Pompeii & Sorrento:
Because our cruise ship's port call was changed from Salerno to Naples due to port construction, I contacted Rome in Limo. They immediately adjusted our pickup location without any problems. Their flexibility and excellent communication eliminated what could have been a stressful situation.

Our driver, Alex, was outstanding—professional, personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. We also had a guided tour of Pompeii with Mario, whose enthusiasm and knowledge brought the ancient city to life. Pompeii was one of the highlights of our trip, and we appreciated having both an outstanding local guide and an outstanding driver.

Transfers: Civitavecchia to Orvieto and Orvieto to Rome Fiumicino Airport:
Both drivers arrived exactly on time, helped with our luggage, and drove safely and comfortably. Every Mercedes van we rode in was clean, well maintained, air-conditioned, and exceptionally comfortable.

What impressed us most was the consistency. Every driver was courteous, every vehicle was first-class, every transfer operated exactly as promised, and communication throughout the entire process was outstanding.

As someone who worked in the travel industry and has been on many cruises, I especially appreciate companies that consistently deliver excellent customer service. Rome in Limo has now earned our business on three different trips over the past decade, and they have never disappointed us.

We have been to several ports in Italy on a few different occasions and have always employed Romeinlimo.  Always extremely impressed with their services, their vehicles and the ability to customize a tour.  The people I have shared tours with have also been very happy.  The cost is well below what the cruiselines offered and with only 8 people per tour - so much nicer.  Will continue to choose them when we visit Italy again.  Communication is also top notch!  Guaranteed return to ship on time and have not failed.  Highly recommend them for any Italy tour you are considering - you will not be disappointed!

Whenever we’re in Italy we’ve used the services of RomeInLimo for both our airport transfers and to show us the beautiful sights of their wonderful country. We love them because we not only get to experience the popular venues, but they also get into the “real” Italy, away from the crowded tourist areas. It makes the entire experience one to remember. We booked Rome in a Limo for a day trip from Naples port to the Amalfi coast, Sorrento and Pompeii. We were a family party of 6. Everyone agreed it was the best day of the entire holiday. Diago was our driver and guide. He was AMAZING! He was knowledgeable about the area and spoke with passion about his home town of Naples. More than that however, in the day we spent with him, we felt like we’d popped to Naples to meet an old friend. He was so welcoming, I think if we ever went to Naples again, we would book Diago to take us on a different tour. I had originally booked a tour of Naples with the cruise company, but having watched videos on you tube decided to cancel that trip and book with Rome in a Limo and we were so glad that we did. We saw so much more, were well looked after and for a family or 6 it worked out cheaper. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rome in a Limo and Diago. You will be very well taken care of.

We have used RomeInLimo every time we’ve been in Rome or areas in Italy they serve since 2011. Our last time was in 2024. We have used them for airport and port transfers as well as tours. We have been exceptionally pleased each time. On our last trip to Rome with our group of friends they arranged the Hidden Rome tour for those who did not want to spend a day shopping. Their selection of guides and itineraries are perfect. Also, you are not in a large group being herded around and you can stay longer or shorter at your stops. I have recommended them to friends over the years and they also have been very pleased. We will be needing their services again this October and I plan to reserve them again as soon as our schedule is finalized.

When looking for a tour company in Rome, I researched to find the one with the most stars. Rome In Limo did not disappoint! The guide was amazing, the cars were top notch, and we experienced a tour that could not be beaten. I highly recommend Rome in Limo; you will not be sorry.

Rome in Limo is the Way to Go!
I don’t often write reviews unless the service has been outstanding. The service and professionalism from RomeInLimo was exceptional! We are four women who only had one day in Rome after a cruise. We booked a private transfer from Rome’s cruise port, Civitavecchia which is about a 90-minute drive to Rome’s city center. We enjoyed a lovely day seeing the most popular sites in Rome, including the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. We had to book tickets to the Vatican and the Colosseum in advance, separately, but our wonderful driver, Guiliano, got us where we needed to be with ease. Although this was a very busy itinerary, we never felt stressed or rushed because Guiliano figured out the timing for us, got us to our destinations, and magically appeared to pick us up when we had completed touring a site. He showed us some additional, lesser visited historic sites in Rome, as well. Guiliano was kind and so helpful. He stopped on a hill above the Colosseum to take a photo of us with the Colosseum in the background, away from the crowds. He recommended a great area to stop for a quick lunch before we continued our whirlwind tour. The vehicle was immaculate and, after very full day, he dropped us (and our luggage) off at our hotel. I also must mention, Jany from the office at RomeInLimo. She was incredibly helpful. Before our trip, I emailed her a lot with various questions about the sites etc. She was so responsive and organized. I really appreciated her prompt and helpful communication. In short, RomeInLimo was responsive, professional, efficient and kind. Our private tour with RomeInLimo was a great way to get a quick picture of Rome, and of course, we all can’t wait to go back!
