Working with Chiara and her assistant was a pleasure. The process is a process, but they make it seamless. I highly recommend if you are going to get your Italian citizenship, work with them! You won't regret it! They prepare you for everything.

I have just received my Italian passport and citizenship through the assistance of ICA. I cannot express strongly enough the support that I consistently received through the process. Unfortunately due to Covid and resulting shutdown of municipal offices in Italy, the process was longer than anticipated, but the two professionals with whom I worked at ICA made sure I was updated and satisfied with the status all along the way. I have friends who have applied independently for Italian citizenship, and in the end they paid about the same amount of money and waited the same amount of time. But add in frequent costly trips to the Consulate for missing/incorrect documentation. I am extremely pleased that my dream of celebrating my Italian heritage has come through with ICA's assistance.

While the entire process took longer than expected that was because of the speed of the governments and not delays caused by them. I would highly recommend them. I would just like to echo the praise for ICA. I found them through their YouTube channel where Marco Permunian outlined step-by-step the process of claiming Italian Citizenship. I can understand some posters concerns. It can be a frustrating process, especially when the goal posts keep moving. But I feel that is through no fault of ICA. Best of luck to all who are seeking citizenship. I highly recommend ICA.

The process of establishing my Italian citizenship was long, complicated, and sometimes frustrating. ICA helped every step of the way, in all the ways they could. They can't, of course, get rid of Italian bureaucracy (which is very, very real) and changes to Italian law. What they can do is help explain what is going on, how long it is likely to take, and help shepherd through the process.

As an American who does not speak Italian, I never would have been able to get this done without the help of ICA and their A-Z full package. I’ve heard some complaints about them being a little slow but honestly I’d rather it take longer to receive the citizenship and have it done PROPERLY than pay a couple bucks less to someone who will file it incorrectly who is in a rush and risk getting rejected. At the end of the day, I was able to receive my citizenship with ICA! I 100% recommend them!

My family tried to work with ICA to obtain citizenship for a group of family members. It could not have been a more frustrating and demoralizing experience. They delayed and tacked on more fees with every step in the process and answered my questions vaguely and also took weeks to answer basic emails. Even when there were long wait times (months) with filling or processing paperwork they did not provide updates or keep in contact to explain what was going on and to be expected. Truly a nightmare and we had to forfeit the initial payment and pay many fees which they said were due to "extra" work on their part, never itemizing, getting authorization for, or explaining what they were doing. Getting the documents back that we sent them was so frustrating. Took them months and of course they tacked on hundreds in fees to do so. Would not recommend.

I hired ICA to navigate the process for 9 family members to obtain our Italian Citizenship. We have now all obtained our Citizenship and Passports. They were professional and thorough. Communication was mostly excellent. Our case was complicated, it required a court hearing. The pandemic closed the Italian courts, so our process was delayed, but ICA kept us informed along the way. We had 1 case manager for most of the process, communication was excellent. At the very end of the process, there were 2 personal changes, and we got "dropped" for a while, but everything worked out well in the end. I believe the price was fair and the work was excellent. We hired this firm to help us obtain our Italian citizenship by descent and they delivered. We walked out of the consulate with our passports the same day, something our family had been hoping for for years.

Honest note: communication could use some improvement and at times it was difficult to get in touch, but once we were connected with our final main contact everything ran smoothly. She was wonderful from start to finish.

Marco and his team helped me,my 2 sons and 6 grandchildren to obtain Italian citizenship.I was a “1948” case so it was very complicated .The application had to go to court but it was all done by ICA for me .We were supported every step of the way ,all the questions I asked ( I asked a lot) were dealt with efficiently and replied to quickly .It took 3 years to obtain the citizenship ( Had it June 2025 ) but then because of delays with the commune re Aire another 10 months ( this was not ICA fault )just the way some communes work in Italy .I can highly recommend ICA team ,it is free to discover whether you are eligible or not so you have nothing to lose !!We watched the ICA podcasts on u tube ,they were brilliant done by Marco and Raphael ,all the assistants we dealt with over the 4 years were excellent

Ours was a court case and we started the process during the COVID pandemic so everything took a lot of time and patience. We first became aware of our potential eligibility for Italian citizenship in 2015 while attending an Italian cultural group meeting in Portland, Oregon. I spoke with an individual who was in the process of obtaining citizenship for her family. Although we had been very close to our grandparents throughout our lives, the possibility of pursuing Italian citizenship had never occurred to us. At that time, I was also unaware of professional services that assist with this process.

My cousin Mara and I agreed to initiate the process for seven family members: myself, my two adult children, my cousin and her minor son, and my sister and her minor daughter. We began gathering the required documentation with the intention of applying through the Italian Consulate in San Francisco. Life events, including COVID, got in the way so our progress was very slow. We collected the required birth, marriage, and divorce records from more than five U.S. states, as well as Germany. When we obtained our grandparents’ naturalization, birth, and marriage records from Italy (which proved to be particularly challenging) we realized that our grandfather had been naturalized prior to my mother’s birth, while our grandmother had not. As a result, our case qualified as a “1948 case,” requiring us to pursue citizenship through the Italian court system rather than a consulate.

We subsequently evaluated several attorneys and service providers, including ICA, and ultimately selected ICA to represent us. This decision was based on their demonstrated organization, transparency, and professionalism. We valued their comprehensive team structure, which included both legal counsel and dedicated support staff, as well as the extensive informational resources available through their website and podcasts. Their fee structure was also reasonable and clearly defined, requiring only a partial payment upfront, with the balance due at the court phase. In contrast, other attorneys we considered required full payment in advance and had limited or no verifiable online presence, which raised concerns regarding accountability.

During our proceedings, jurisdiction was transferred from the Rome courts to the regional courts corresponding to our grandparents’ place of origin. Despite some procedural delays, all seven family members were granted Italian citizenship on January 1, 2025. Our physical passports were issued approximately eleven months later, marking a deeply meaningful milestone for our entire family.
