The summit confirmed that Generic AI is becoming a commodity, while Vertical AI—deeply understood, industry-specific systems—is the true high-ROI asset. Even the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) sessions in Delhi emphasized that traditional "CapEx" financing (simply buying hardware) is failing. The future lies in recurring operational excellence—a model where the provider is responsible for the ongoing safety, upskilling, and governance of the system. This align's with Anthropic's "programmatic approach" to safety, ensuring that AI for public services remains interconnected with trust-based governance. The summit panel on "Fair Tech" noted that the biggest challenge today is not a capability problem, but a trust problem. Users and governments alike hesitate because they lack the judgment to know when to trust AI outputs. Anthropic is betting that long-term "Brand Trust" is worth more than the "several hundred million dollars" they have already sacrificed to cut off non-democratic use cases. India is at a crossroads.
