Ask a colleague... The burden of accuracy has often landed on the human at the end of the day. This GeekWire piece outlines how instead of betting everything on one model, we at Microsoft are taking a different approach inside #Copilot: ➡️ One model generates. ➡️ Another reviews. #AI checks #AI. Two AIs keep tabs on each other - before a human ever sees the output. That design choice has big implications for trust, accuracy, and how much judgment we’re willing to delegate to machines. The Microsoft #Researcher agent for example can now use OpenAI’s GPT to draft a response, then have Anthropic’s Claude review it for i.e. completeness and citation quality before finalizing it. Nordre Follo kommune, a Norwegian municipality near Oslo, runs the public hearings behind zoning and planning decisions. Up to 150 citizen responses per hearing, six pages and longer, close to 30 minutes of reading each. Their Hearing Agent, built with Atea on Microsoft Copilot Studio, drafts every summary. Planners review and edit each one before it reaches a decision-making body. An agent inside a legally binding process is a real bet. It works because the same logic now applies to every submission. Regulated does not mean slow or missing out on innovation. It means the design has to hold. This project was about far more than producing a magazine. It showed our pupils that their voices matter—and that children from a small rural village can contribute to conversations about democracy, sustainability, technology, culture and Europe’s future. Earlier this week, leaders from some of Europe’s most respected organizations gathered in Malta to discuss how AI, leadership, and business transformation are reshaping the enterprise landscape. Here are my favorite parts: 🔹 Malin PerssonMalin Persson, CIO & Head of Enterprise IT, Ericsson, challenged leaders to move from excitement to accountability. In a rapidly changing environment, she argued that leaders must adopt a beginner’s mindset and continuously challenge their own assumptions. 🔹 Jan ZiskasenJan Ziskasen, Global CTO, H&M Group reminded us that customers care about better experiences, not AI. The measure of success is not the sophistication of the technology, but whether it creates tangible value for the customer. 🔹 Peter Cabello HolmbergPeter Cabello Holmberg, CIO, SAS, shared how SAS has moved beyond scattered AI experiments to focus on a small number of strategic "big bets" with the potential to materially impact the business. A powerful lesson in prioritization and execution. 🔹 Tobias TernstedtTobias Ternstedt, CIO, Länsförsäkringar AB, offered a nuanced perspective on digital sovereignty: the fundamental question is which dependencies are acceptable. You probably wouldn't remember whether it was multiple choice. I certainly don't. I remember the stress, waiting for the results and being relieved when I passed. 😅 What I don't remember is the format. Which is why I find many discussions about #AI in #communication a bit strange. We spend a lot of time debating how content was created. But audiences experience the outcome. We are passing the test, when our message creates clarity, builds trust and has an impact. For me, AI is turning communication into more of a multiple-choice test. Generating answers is becoming easier. Choosing the right one is becoming more valuable. And that's where I think our profession is headed: towards #judgment. The way we get to the result is changing. Our responsibility to create impact with communication remains. ➡️ Looking back, can you remember whether your toughest exam was multiple choice? Or do you only remember whether you passed? 😏

This week we brought KPMG and Microsoft leaders together in Berlin for our EMA Executive Summit & FY27 Kick-Off — two days of joint sessions, honest conversation and a shared plan for the year ahead. What stood out: In-person connection. Leaders from across EMEA and Global — in one room. The coffee breaks, the corridor chats, the dinner conversations: that's where alliances actually get built. Engagement in every single session. From the executive keynote and our joint strategy session, to the "Ask Me Anything" leadership panel, to the FY27 priority spotlights on AI, every session had a genuinely engaged room. No passive audiences. Real interaction, not presentation. The breakouts, the case studies and the panels turned into two-way dialogue: sharp questions, honest answers, and country teams swapping what's working with each other in real time. Cloud competition used to be about who could ship the biggest platform fastest 📊. Cloud Wars' ranking tells a slightly different story. It focuses on how providers help customers build forward instead of defending legacy setups. Customer empathy, security maturity, and AI that can live inside real enterprises all play a role here. Microsoft, Oracle, Google each bring different strengths, and that is not changing. What is changing is how success is measured.
