Absolutely fantastic company, can't rate them highly enough. This morning I made the most moronic error and left a chair under the electric garage door and the whole door came off the rails. It's an... See more

gave 2 stars as I think I was ripped off !! checked on line for up & over garage door repairs needed new cables &spools which I knew it was the cables, anyway guy came had a look, phoned office back to tell the lady what he was going to replace, than she spoke to me & firstly quoted £496 I believe it was, then asked me if I was a pensioner which I am, dropped down to £396.96 , he was only here from start to finish about 15/20 minutes, so I said o.k. go ahead , ( hubby not happy, said was ripped off) asked on line if was ripped off on the price & it said excessively, should have been £80 to £250, should have just paid the £20 & said no thanks!! but they think it is a fair price for 15 mins work !!! BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ARE QUOTED BY THIS COMPANY .. TOMS GARAGE DOORS
Not good at all
Not good at all; whacking ‘emergency’ call out fee when it wasn’t an emergency with no one mentioning this was double the standard fee; said fee taken on what looked like a personal phone; zero communication after an ‘ assessment’ which told me what I already knew, that the springs had broken; an estimate that climbed by three figures between initial phone call and me finally getting through to them and a ‘take it or leave it ‘approach. I left it. Garage door still broken after 12 days waiting for these gentlemen from the Wild West.
Did a good job but expensive
Did a good job but expensive, door now working very well.
Took around 40 minutes to complete cost £407.48, parts fitted probably cost no more than £50.
Extremely expensive
Extremely expensive, won't give an itemised receipt

I first called Garage Door Co Ltd and presumably Toms Garage Doors are their local sub contractors. Very prompt call back, alternative quotes provided and I went for the cheaper option one as garage rarely used as car gone. No pressure at alm and repair done efficiently and all sorted.
Highly recommended

I can Highly recommend Toms Garage Doors.
I can Highly recommend Toms grarage doors. I made an early call when our door unfortunately fell off, this was dealt with most efficiently from the first phone call. The engineer was very personable and efficient, assessing the job and giving us a quote. He immediately organised a new door and was able to get back in the same day to fit it. I was more than impressed with the way it was handled. He was very helpful and knowledgeable knowing I was worried about the security of our house if left over night. Excellent thank you.
Excellent same day service.
I inherited two broken garage doors. The same day that I called, the engineer turned up. He identified the problems and explained the solutions. The office called with an acceptable price for both jobs which were completed the same day. I was very pleased with the whole process and would thoroughly recommend this company.
Great service, recommended

Excellent service
Had a problem with my electric roller door, and I was very pleased with the immediate response from Tom's Garage Doors. The repairman was quick and efficient, didn't make any mess, and most importantly, I can now get my car out of the garage. Another happy customer.
Poor Service from Toms Garage Doors
An employee called on Tuesday 11.8.26. He identified that the garage needed 4 springs. He showed me online that the springs were readily available. He said that he would return on Friday 14.8.26 afternoon to fit the springs. I paid the fee demanded. On Thursday I had a message to ask if he could come on Friday morning. I replied no - our booking was for Friday afternoon. No one arrived. After repeated attempts to phone the company I finally got through to be told the employee was coming on the Monday morning. No one had contacted me about this. Again no one arrived on Monday 17.826. I finally got through to the operator on Monday afternoon late after many attempts when the line went dead as on previous calls who informed me that the springs hadn’t arrived. I asked the operator to keep me informed. I phoned again today and the same careless operator told me the springs still hadn’t arrived. I told the operator that this was not the service I had expected especially given all the assurances on the website. She then cut me off. This company gives a very poor service.

Didn't even get as far as the engineer coming out. No show at the time the appointment was booked for. Call handler extremely rude so cancelled call out.

Was doubtful about contacting the ‘online 24 hour come to your house service £39.95 call out charge’ but Cable broke at 10:00, can’t close the garage door, engineer arrived at 14:00, perfectly fixed a very old garage door! Cost me £200 but what should I expect for an immediate professional service. Have never given 5 stars before, use them and trust

Terrible service
I've paid the deposit to get the work done and know one is getting back to me. I asked for my deposit back so will see how I get on with that
Ignoring customers is just rude in my book
Stay away !!
AVOID this company who have zero customer service skills
Firstly I have to give 1 star as it will not allow Zero. Scott the Engineer was friendly and turned up on time. After a few checks on the door he went away and said I would be getting a call from the office. I was quickly contacted and told I needed a "garage door motor limit reset" and that would be £144. I agreed (as it sounded a complicated procedure) and Scott went to work, which in effect was press the buttons about 5 times, pair the remotes which he did next to the motor and that was it. Job done (I thought). So all within 20 mins and £139 later (as I got a £5 discount for Bank Transfer) he was gone. About 20 minutes later I went to open the closed garage door and nothing happened, even standing immediately outside of the garage door. Neither remote would work and both had brand new batteries in. I could not get in so I rang back and spoke to a gentleman and he said he would contact Scott and ask him to come back and I would be advised of an approx time. Nearly 5 hours later no contact so I rang to get a receipt for the work and also ask when someone was calling. After a long wait to get answered I was told nothing had been booked in for a recall and it would be a next day visit. After this poor service I contacted another local company who came along and sorted out the problem for less than half of what they had charged. When I got the call to say when one of your engineers could come, I advised the lady to cancel and I would like to discuss a refund as I was over charged for an incorrect diagnosis of the problem and had Scott tested the remotes from outside the garage he would have realised it wasn't fixed. I was told she would feedback my comments and someone would be in touch. One week later I heard nothing. On 12 June, I emailed and asked for an update on my complaint, stating I was happy to pay their diagnostic fee. This was acknowledged the next day but alas no reply. So, after another email request on 19 July 2026, still no response. They are clearly over charging for their poor service and have no regard for their customers.
Perfect same day service
Perfect same day service - Engineer Dan arrived and did a splendid job sorting out my "up and over" garage door.
