⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)

My experience with Sytner BMW has been extremely disappointing.

I viewed and purchased BMW X5 30d (SN19 KMW) as a BMW Approved Used vehicle. Within a short period of ownership, I identified numerous mechanical and cosmetic issues that I believe should have been found before the vehicle was offered for sale. Following my complaint, the dealership’s own inspection confirmed that several of the faults I raised required repair.

After losing confidence in that vehicle, I gave Sytner another chance and inspected BMW X5 M50d (PL20 CWW). During my inspection and road test, I again found a number of cosmetic issues and experienced a noticeable transfer box judder. Once again, I was left questioning the preparation standards of a BMW Approved Used vehicle.

My advice to anyone considering buying these vehicles, or any used car, is carry out a thorough inspection and insist on a proper road test before signing anything. Don’t rely solely on the Approved Used label.

I also found the customer service disappointing. I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, and resolving the issues took a great deal of time, effort and inconvenience.

Although the dealership eventually agreed to unwind my purchase, the whole experience fell well below the standard I expected from a BMW Approved Used retailer.

5 Star for Alan

The 5 stars is specifically for Alan.
Alan at Reception is the best customer-focused person I’ve ever known. He is very caring, highly professional, and has a great personality.

I was very disappointed with the quality of service received from my case handler – a member of the service team. I found this particular person (name withheld) arrogant, rude, and very economical with the truth. My wife and I spent over six exhausting and frustrating hours in the garage waiting, despite having a confirmed appointment booked five weeks before, which was also confirmed again via an email from Mercedes 5 days before, and confirmed again a day before.

We were assured several times by this individual that the job (replacement of a battery) would take between 1 and 2 hours and that we could wait to collect the car on the appointed date. He did not even bother to see us when he was made aware of our arrival at the garage, until over three hours later when Alan checked on us (seeing that we had been waiting a long time) and asked if everything was okay. When we explained to Alan that we were waiting for our car, which was supposed to be done within 2 hours, and we had not been updated on the situation, Alan went to talk to this individual. After another 20 minutes, he eventually came out to tell us that the car would be going into the workshop soon and would be ready between 15:00 and 16:00. (Please note we first arrived at the garage at 10:15.)

At 15:38, I sent a message to this individual asking for an update on the job. He came out 10 minutes later to tell me the most awkward story I’ve ever been told. He claimed the job wouldn’t be completed until around 18:00 because the engineers did not realise that the car battery was located under the seat. I was shocked, as I have always known that the battery is located under the seat in Mercedes cars. I’ve been using Mercedes for over 40 years – A, B, C, E, GLC, ML and GLE Class. I felt his claim was a huge insult to the engineers.

The good thing was that we had a person like Alan, who continued to check on us throughout and helped us to ensure we still got a good service. He tried very hard and was truly professional, despite the uncaring attitude of the individual in the service team. Alan’s personality and professionalism shone throughout – and that really made our day. Thank you so much, Alan. You are truly a brilliant and great ambassador for Mercedes Milton Keynes.

5 STARS

5 STARS. We had the wheels on our BMW refurbished by Sytner BMW Worcester. The finished result was nothing short of miraculous !
You could not differentiate the diamond-cut / smart wheel repair from A BRAND NEW WHEEL !!! OMG
The wheels were so perfect we had to ask: ' did they fit new O/E wheels ? '
We were so impressed I asked to meet the team that carried our the wheel repairs:
The Body Shop Team: Lee (manager) Lucas, Josh, Callum. A Brilliant team who were super helpful, friendly and mega enthusiastic. I want to add an important note here ( and it's the truth: ' We visited a few weeks before Cheltenham BMW who also looked over the same wheels and said, the car needs NEW Wheels !!! '

However getting a second opinion ( and boy, was I glad we did) we had Worcester BMW Sytner view and appraise the car to say, they could refurbish the wheels using their IN HOUSE DIAMOND CUTTER.

The finished result was STUNNING !! The car looks like it just came out of the showroom.
If you want the VERY BEST in both service and highest quality, visit Worcester Sytner BMW
The Guys to ask for are:
Lee ( manager) Lucas, Josh and Callum

THANK YOU so much !

Poor aftersales services

Poor aftersales services. Not impressed by the lack of communication, the lack of understanding they have for customers. Had a 3 year old Q4 in for repairs (broken electric cover, broken washer motor, broken mmi) and and MOT. In for 2 days and didn’t resolve all the issues, charged for an MOT which is included in our service plan. Get better service taking my 12 year old BMW to a local garage, at least they get the work done and call you when it’s finished. Premium brand, utter BS. Can I have the same service as Tony Palmer, looks like he had lovely treatment

I called in last Saturday for a new vehicle and was met by Roger Ball who was very helpful securing me and new vehicle.
Nothing was too much trouble for him very helpful informative and courteous throughout the transaction.
I meet a lot of people in my line of work and I wish they were all like Roger.
He is credit to Audi Nottingham.

Horrible experience from start to…

Horrible experience from start to finish. My car was recalled for a safety issue, and after a lot of hassle and a two-month wait to get it booked in, I was finally given a courtesy car. Unfortunately, the courtesy car was filthy inside and out, covered in bird droppings.

Just two hours later, I received a call saying I could collect my own car because the safety recall didn’t need doing after all. However, the orange warning triangle was still illuminated on the dashboard. When I asked if the car was safe to drive, I was told it still needed to be booked back in.

I was also told they had carried out a free health check, but they refused to give me any information about the results or explain what, if anything, the car needed. Instead, I was told I would have to book it in again and pay £250 for a one-hour diagnostic check. I was then told it could take two hours, costing £500, just to tell me what was wrong with it.

The customer service was shocking. To make matters worse, the receptionist repeatedly called me “lovely,” which I found patronising and unprofessional. As a 47-year-old woman, I expect to be treated with respect, not spoken to in such a dismissive manner.

I would avoid this dealership at all costs.

Average at best

Constantly telling me the car wasn’t ready, waiting for parts to come in. I think when your car is under warranty you become least priority. It went in for a simple warning light, problem found and they had it 5 days if you count Saturday. An issue they told me would be done in 2. We have a friend who worked there not so long back and he did warn us not to use that branch. Lessons learnt I suppose.
