Fraud, Illegal Actions, and Total Ignorance!
This company operates with outright deception and unethical practices! They send representatives door-to-door to trick people with so-called “better offers.” In my case, their representative David assured me I was only signing a document to receive an offer with a lower price. I repeatedly asked for clarification about what I was signing, and at no point was I informed that this would cancel my current contract with my electricity provider.
I later discovered that they had terminated my previous contract and signed a new one on my behalf without my knowledge or consent. Adding to the mess, my name was spelled incorrectly on the contract, which makes it legally invalid. When I pointed this out, they still refused to cancel the contract or take responsibility for their mistakes.
What’s even worse is that David specifically told me that no actions would be taken unless I failed to reject the offer within 14 days after receiving it. However, they went ahead and processed everything just a few days later, leaving me unable to cancel anything. Now I am stuck with this unauthorized contract, and they are ignoring all my attempts to contact them. Neither David nor the company responds to emails or calls.
This company uses lies, manipulation, and illegal actions to force customers into contracts they never agreed to. Avoid them at all costs unless you want to face the same nightmare I am currently dealing with!
Super toll klasse
Appalling Customer service.
We have had an apartment in Germany (resident in the UK) for 15 years with Suewag as energy supplier. no problems until 2022 when a new meter was installed but for some reason wasn't registered on their system which still recognises the old meter and refuses to take our readings from the new. Consequently our bills are now gross overestimates of actual consumption. No response to repeated emails showing proof of the meter exchange and draining my German bank account dry. Absolutely appalling
My electric usage was very low and then…
My electric usage was very low and then after several years of paying Süwag they sent me a letter congratulating me on my choice of a new base tariff, more than double what I had been paying. I switched to Vattelfall and Süwag blocked the transfer. This energy provider should be avoided at all costs

I wish I'd read their reviews before…
I wish I'd read their reviews before signing the contract.
We had previously had a fine service with Suewag until they terminated my contract without any contact with me. They're also unwilling to resolve the problem - if their customer support ever responds it is with a rude and lazy message.
It seems that late in 2022 I missed a payment with them (a change in job meant that my paycheck came on a different date and some direct debits failed). They only sent emails (no post) and these were flagged as phishing by Microsoft so I did not see them until two weeks after they were sent. I immediately responded asking how I could respond the issue but their support are so unwilling to work that we can't make any progress.
Very very unhappy with Süwag!
From my experience, I can only recommend not to become a customer here in any case and I can only join the previous speakers!
This goes beyond the status of a catastrophic service.
In my view, Süwag is incredibly poorly managed and has miserable processes!
We had an incorrect booking (our fault, clearly and without question) and we too were then threatened with disconnection of electricity. The threat was delivered on the afternoon of February 1, and in it a deadline was set until February 2 3pm (!) for proof of a completed and posted payment.
Via the communicated hotlines, there is no exchange with the specialist department that fixes the problem. Only subtle threats are made ("I hope you still have electricity for you and your infant tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed"). This is not only empathy-less, but simply unethical.
At the same time, I understand that as an electricity provider it is certainly not easy to always enforce one's demands with all customers.
Even with this understanding, and regardless of whether the threat is realistic (my understanding is that the electricity supplier must enter the house), it is, in my view, extremely borderline business behavior, especially with a deadline of around 24 hours (as described above).
Furthermore, the ways communicated in the letter to prove payment are ambiguous. In addition to the manners, the processes are completely subterranean.
I will strongly advise my family and friends to cancel all existing contracts with Süwag as soon as possible.
