I had a terrible experience with Royal…

I had a terrible experience with Royal Air Maroc (RAM), and I wonder how this airline became a member of Oneworld. I believe Oneworld should evaluate whether airlines are capable of proudly representing their brand. Booking tickets with this airline was my biggest mistake.

The seats were dirty, and the quality of the meals they served was terrible. On some flights, they advertised meals but didn’t actually provide any. RAM's website promotes in-flight entertainment, but shockingly, there was none available on any of the planes I flew. I had a connecting flight and used four different Royal Air Maroc planes, and not a single one was clean. The seats were filthy, and the behavior of the cabin staff was miserable.

I regret not reading reviews about this airline beforehand; otherwise, I would never have booked with them.

⭐ ROYAL AIR MAROC

⭐ ROYAL AIR MAROC – AVOID AT ALL COSTS

After my experience with Royal Air Maroc, my advice to anyone considering flying with this airline is simple:

DON'T. Avoid Royal Air Maroc altogether.

This is not just about Casablanca Airport. My experience has completely destroyed my confidence in Royal Air Maroc as an airline.

We were travelling as a family of five, including three young children, and were faced with an approximately 23-hour connection. When we sought assistance regarding accommodation, we were given an explanation that we could not properly verify. We asked to see the actual policy supporting the decision, but nobody could clearly show us where it was stated. We asked for a manager or supervisor and were refused. We asked staff for their names and they refused to provide them.

For me, this goes far beyond poor customer service.

Laws should be respected. Policies should be followed. Rules should be transparent. Customers should be treated with dignity and should be able to challenge a decision and speak to someone responsible.

Instead, my experience was that nobody wanted to take responsibility.

I honestly felt like I was dealing with a “Wild West” operation — where you are simply told something at the desk and expected to accept it, regardless of whether anyone can actually show you the rule or explain the basis for the decision.

I cannot speak for every Royal Air Maroc employee or every passenger's experience, but I can speak about mine. And based on what happened to my family, I would not recommend this airline to anyone.

In my opinion, the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable and, frankly, felt corrupt. When policies are unclear, rules appear not to be properly upheld, and there is no willingness to provide accountability or transparency, what confidence are passengers supposed to have?

So please, take my advice:

🚫 DO NOT FLY WITH ROYAL AIR MAROC.
🚫 DO NOT BOOK YOUR FAMILY HOLIDAY WITH ROYAL AIR MAROC.
🚫 DO NOT ASSUME THAT THEIR PUBLISHED INFORMATION WILL GIVE YOU THE FULL STORY.

Avoid Royal Air Maroc at all costs.

I would rather pay more to fly with another airline and have the peace of mind of knowing that, if something goes wrong, there is somebody prepared to take responsibility and deal with you properly.

You have been warned. Please follow my advice — don't fly with Royal Air Maroc.

10+ Hour Flight Delay to provide assistance

Only dissatisfaction to describe my feeling with the way Royal Air Maroc handled the significant delay to my flight.
My flight AT1427 was originally scheduled to depart on Monday, August 31 at 8:45 PM, but was subsequently rescheduled to Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00 AM—a delay of more than 10 hours.
While I understand that unforeseen operational circumstances can occasionally cause delays, the way this disruption was handled was extremely disappointing.
I did not receive adequate advance notice or clear and timely information about the change, leaving me to deal with the consequences of an overnight delay without appropriate support.
More seriously, no meaningful passenger assistance was provided during the extended delay. I was not offered hotel accommodation, meals, alternative travel arrangements, or clear guidance regarding what assistance was available to me.
A delay of more than 10 hours is not a minor inconvenience. It can result in significant additional expenses, disruption to accommodation and onward travel plans, loss of time, and considerable stress for passengers.

FALSE REFUND CONFIRMED — MONEY NEVER ARRIVED — FORCED VOUCHER

Title: 🚨 FALSE REFUND CONFIRMATION — FORCED VOUCHERS — DECEPTIVE PRACTICE — AVOID

Date of experience: 29 July 2026

I paid £617 for ticket ZGE62H for travel on 29 July 2026 — Accra→Casablanca→London Heathrow. This ticket became a duplicate booking when British Airways rebooked the passenger onto the SAME Royal Air Maroc flight — it was never used, impossible to use.

On 17 August 2026, Royal Air Maroc emailed me — Confirmation No. 426566973649 — stating: "We confirm that your refund has been credited to the payment card."

NO MONEY EVER ARRIVED. When I asked for proof of payment, they stalled for days and provided nothing. Then they kept changing their story:

• ❌ First: "Only taxes refundable" — £145.10 instead of £617

• ❌ Then: "Voucher only" — £612.70, locked for 12 months, NOT cash to my bank

They sent a written confirmation of payment that never existed. Now they refuse a cash refund and try to force a voucher — which is illegal under UK consumer law. Refunds go back to your original payment method — not a voucher you never agreed to.

Deceptive confirmations, bait-and-switch tactics, and total disregard for passenger rights. A national carrier should not behave like this. I am now reporting them to the UK Civil Aviation Authority and proceeding to Small Claims Court.

Pros: None.
Cons: False refund confirmations, stalling, forced vouchers, breaking UK law, terrible customer service.

The most disgraceful airline out there…

The most disgraceful airline out there and a huge embarrassment to the people of the country who called us their national carrier.

Travelled from London Gatwick to Abidjan in Cote D’Ivoire for a wedding, transiting through Casablanca. They lost our luggage and it took four days to get any response (only think we got anything because we were lucky enough to know someone who has ties to the airline). Found out our
bags never left London Gatwick alomg with dozens of other passengers bags that day. Then another four days for the luggage to turn up, with no communications from the airline whatsoever.

Spent over £400 between the two of us for toiletries and clothing.
My daughter had to continuously chase them to reimburse us for months. I believe that it’s only because she is a pilot for a large carrier here in Europe , and had to quote the Montreal Convention verbatim, did they eventually, after numerous emails and phone calls, put money back in our bank accounts.
Also note that there were people in our wedding party that came from different countries and had the exact same experience only they never received their bags till many weeks after they had returned to their own countries.
According to a worker at the airport in Abidjan, this happens on an almost daily basis with Royal Air Maroc, in particular with connections through Casablanca.
Avoid at all costs and pay an extra two or £300 if needed to take another airline.

Very disappointing experience with this…

Very disappointing experience with this airline. My luggage was lost, and the way the situation was handled made an already stressful experience even worse. Losing a passenger’s belongings is extremely frustrating, especially when you’re travelling and relying on your luggage to have everything you need.

The communication and customer service were not good enough, and I was left feeling unsupported while trying to resolve the issue. I expected much better from an airline. I would seriously think twice before travelling with them again and would not recommend them based on this experience.

Terrible experience with Royal Air…

Terrible experience with Royal Air Maroc. My luggage was delayed for 3 days, broken into, and destroyed along with the items inside. I have traveled for years and have never seen such blatant disregard for a passenger's property. I am currently pursuing my full compensation rights under the Montreal Convention for the replacement costs, but the airline is doing everything they can to frustrate the process. Unacceptable customer service.

First time and last

This was my first time flying with Royal Air Maroc, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.

My experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. My flight was cancelled twice, which seriously disrupted my holiday plans. On top of that, when I finally travelled, both my flight and connecting flight were delayed by more than two hours, making an already stressful journey even worse.

The aircraft itself was also very disappointing. The seat was broken, and there was barely enough space to move around, which was particularly uncomfortable during such a long-haul flight.

The service from the crew was equally disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful. At one point, I asked for a new blanket because the one I had been given smelled, but my request was completely ignored by the crew. I found this extremely unacceptable, especially on a long-haul flight where basic comfort and hygiene should be a priority.

The food was honestly the worst part. When my meal arrived, there was a cockroach/insect on my tray, which made me feel physically sick. I have pictures of this as evidence. Needless to say, I could not eat the meal.

Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant experience. Two cancellations, significant delays, broken seats, poor hygiene, unacceptable food standards, and rude and unresponsive staff made this one of the worst airline experiences I have had.

My daughter was flying from Casablanca…

My daughter was flying from Casablanca to Washington, D.C. with her custom-made wedding dress worth over $10,000. Instead of showing care, the staff were rude and aggressive, pressuring her to check the dress even as she cried. They showed the same lack of compassion toward her elderly grandmother, who was in a wheelchair.

Rules are one thing; treating people without dignity or empathy is another. A deeply upsetting experience during such an important time for our family. Never again will we fly with this airline.

Why is it that so many customers are…

Why is it that so many customers are complaining and no action is taken against this airline.

I'm a victim twice. It won't be a third time.

Somewhere the system is rotten and the theft continues. There's no day that passes without getting a lost baggage on Royal Air Maroc regardless of the origin or destination of these flights.

Someone just be profiting off with these unsolved mysteries.
Its absurd. It a cartel that is running customer baggages. And they target certain baggage tags from well known countries.

This Airline is a scam to whoever travels with it.
Ticket are continously sold but when flights are canceled, no refunds are expected. Who is that superior Supervisor that is always referred to, one that never responds to emails but respond to steal customer baggages.
Hey, avoid this airline, it's discriminative, staff are rude. They have no respect for certain groups of people.
They tend not to understand English or think whoever travels on this airline should speak their local languages.
To hell with Royal Air Maroc, just a bunch of thugs. Living off traveler's expenses.

Inhumane treatment

I would like to formally express my serious dissatisfaction with the manner in which this flight cancellation was handled.

There was no prior communication advising the passenger that the flight had been cancelled. The passenger was instructed that he could only check in at 18:00, only to arrive and then be informed that the flight had been cancelled. This is completely unacceptable, particularly when passengers are left without adequate information or assistance.

What is even more concerning is that the next available flight to the intended destination is only on 2 September. The alternative offered is to take the next available flight to another country, which does not resolve the passenger's actual travel needs.

Furthermore, the passenger has been advised that a refund will take time to process, while no practical alternative has been provided in the interim. There has been no meaningful assistance with arranging a flight transfer, alternative routing, accommodation, or even basic support to ensure that the passenger has somewhere safe and reasonable to stay while this situation is being resolved.

This leaves the passenger effectively stranded through no fault of his own.

The lack of communication, the absence of viable alternative arrangements, and the failure to provide reasonable assistance amount to extremely poor and inhumane customer treatment. A passenger should not be left in this position after purchasing a ticket and relying on the airline to fulfil its obligations.

I expect Royal Air Maroc to acknowledge the seriousness of this matter and provide an explanation for why there was no prior communication regarding the cancellation and why no reasonable assistance or alternative routing was offered to the passenger.
I also expect the additional costs incurred as a direct result of this cancellation and the manner in which it was handled to be properly considered.
This experience has caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience and financial loss, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service received.

1 Star – Cancelled Flights and No Refund

My Royal Air Maroc round-trip booking (XCT8OE) was cancelled, and I requested a full refund on 3 July 2026. Refund Ticket No. 422707391685 was issued, but weeks later I still have not received my money or a meaningful update.

My return flight was also cancelled, making the entire journey unusable.

I have contacted Royal Air Maroc several times but continue to wait for my refund. Today's is the 7th of August 2026 and I still have not gotten my refund not to talk of any update. My mobile Operator A1 slovenia has billed me about 127€ because of the calls I made to Royal Air Maroc customer service of which most of the times, they did not answer the call. Most of the calls usually ends on the answering machine. I . I will be paying extra 127€ to a service that I am not even satisfied with.
I called them on the 4th of August and they said they have escalated my problem to the supervisor and I will get a response in 48hours. I still did not get any response. I still contacted them yesterday the 6th of August 2025and they still said they will escalate to their supervisor. This airline is a fraud. They are scammers. I will advice people not to use this airline.

There are the depths of despair and…

There are the depths of despair and then there is Royal Air Maroc. It's such a terrible airline.
I've never seen such terrible customer service and I am from a country where people can be considered rude. The staff have no idea where anything is and customer care simply just carries a name but not the essence of it. Suffice to say that my luggage has been missing for a week and RAM has no idea where it is or how to contact the bagger department despite being provided with an indepth inventory and pictures of the bag.
Please do not fly this airline for your peace of mind, especially if you fly business class like I do.

Racist airline

Racist airline. I buy my tickets just like any other passenger but they act like I got a free ticket. I was flying from Brazil to Spain. Ground staff in GRU was great cause they're Brazilians but as soon as you get on the flight, you get discriminated by the flight attendants. They don't greet black people and they don't serve us either. The flight attendant serving meals served the 2 white women who were sitting next to me but when my turn came, he just pushed his cart without asking me what I wanted. I had to call him back to serve me. It is ridiculous, and it happened in all 4 flights I took with them in 4 weeks. They are not professional at all. If you do not want to serve people of colour, don't work in tourism. I am never flying with them again, I am done. Just flew with Qatar and it was night and day, Qatar should share some professionalism with them cause this is ridiculous. Even the staff at Casablanca airport is unprofessional. Never again.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. I know the tickets are cheaper but at what price? They have lost one of our bags that had hundreds of euros worth of products. I have reached out, they could not locate the bag so they asked me to write a complaint. This complaint can only be made through their website to which they do not respond. I called them, regarding the same issue and they said the complaint can not be made over the phone.
The planes are old, dirty and smell bad.

They lost our luggage

We flew with Royal Air Maroc from Cairo (CAI) to Washington Dulles (IAD) via Casablanca (CMN) on August 1. Our checked luggage never arrived at our destination.

At Dulles Airport, we were assured that our bags would arrive on the next flight. We completed a delayed baggage report and extended our hotel stay, expecting the issue to be resolved the following day.

When we returned to the baggage office the next day, we discovered that the original baggage description had been entered incorrectly by Royal Air Maroc's staff. Even more concerning, nearly 48 hours later, the airline still could not locate our bags because they were not appearing in the baggage tracking system.

We understand that delayed baggage can happen, and we know that no airline is immune to operational issues. However, what made this experience so frustrating was the complete lack of communication and customer service. The support representatives we dealt with were dismissive, provided no meaningful updates, and offered little confidence that our luggage was actually being searched for.

The most alarming part is that Royal Air Maroc could not even determine where our checked luggage was. After many years of international travel, this has been the worst baggage service experience we have ever encountered.

We hope Royal Air Maroc takes this issue seriously, improves its baggage handling procedures, and provides better support to passengers when problems occur. Until then, we cannot recommend flying with this airline.
