Product (Ritual of Karma foaming showers gel) exploded upon opening and caused a rash on my forhead
Product (Ritual of Karma - foaming shower gel) exploded upon opening and caused a rash om my forehead and made a mess in the whole bathroom. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT A RASH ON YOUR FACE!!! I know it’s not supposed to go on the face but if it wouldn’t EXPLODED UPON OPENING then it would be nice.
The refill unit is a different size.
I saw that Druni offered a refill for “Whipped Body Cream Ritual of Jing,” so I ordered it. I’ve used Rituals body cream before—different types. I just happened to have kept the jar from Ritual of Ayurveda. I usually throw empty jars away, but reusing them is better—and cheaper, too. The refill unit fits inside the jar but has a rim that’s just a millimeter wider, so you can’t get the lid on. In the store, all the jars look the same. I think this is a cheap sales tactic to force people to buy a set that includes the jar first. I just spoon the stuff from one container to the other. For now, I don’t need any more Ritual products.
I had a very positive rituals welcome!
I had a very positive rituals welcome!
I've never been to Rituals before but I've heard generally positive things. The store I visited in-person (Victoria Square) had immaculate customer service many thanks to the girls Ashley and Katherine. Product-wise, a great selection of products to choose from. Definitely an ideal place for body-care products of high quality but reasonable prices. Perfect place for gifting!
Worst experience ever. Order 237684195
Worst experience ever. After 10 days , I contacted customer service to ask where is my order. They said that they could not send because 1 item was missing on stock. Noone ask me if I need to wait for full order. They cancelled and refund offering 15% discount on next. I am unsatisfied.
Visited the ritual outlet in Wembley…
Visited the ritual outlet in Wembley today, the lady who served me was lovely, giving me a great idea for teachers gifts, I was going to hug £5 gift cards but she suggested the big beach bags for a fiver and said she would put them in gift bags for me! Which actually was a better idea! The packed them and sprayed them so they smelt nice! Amazing customer service, sitting here now with the bag radiating a lovely smell! Very friendly and welcoming.
Don't give Rituals your email address
Be very wary of giving Rituals your email address for a receipt or an order. My details were used in a fake Rituals email to get me to buy a Birthday gift.
The email wasn't from Rituals but my information was either sold by Rituals or stolen from their database so security is weak. Either way by careful
Unhelpful customer service
Unhelpful customer service, order was returned to sender and now they are holding my money, I called them and you can clearly see it is returned to sender but they refuse to refund which is out of order considering this is none of my fault but the couriers.
I very much appreciate the men shaving cream
I very much appreciate the men shaving cream and aftershave.
Water based, I believe but it leaves a very soft skin after shaving.
The After shave moreover gives an additional care.
I only use their shaving cream & aftershave
Wow not surprised to see this company…
Wow not surprised to see this company is so poorly reviewed. it's mind blowing that they've just discontinued the mens roll on deodorant. Just when I find one I'm really happy with. Useless, useless, useless!!!
Customer service is non-existent
I placed an order in-store with home delivery because the item was not available in any physical store. The order was placed almost two weeks before I actually needed it to avoid any delays.
First, I was asked to wait two business days, but the order was still not shipped. After contacting customer support, I was told to wait a couple more days. I did, but as of today I still have neither a shipped order nor even an order confirmation.
What is even more disappointing is that customer support has been ignoring my messages since Friday. I had to contact support myself to find out what was happening with my order instead of being proactively informed.
I have always been a loyal customer, but the lack of communication and the way this situation has been handled is extremely disappointing. Ordering well in advance clearly served no purpose.
Order number: 238050729.
Dont order online
I placed an order on the 4th July for my partners birthday (8th July) with it stating that it would arrive within 1-2 working days so I expected it by the 6th or 7th July considering I ordered on a Saturday. It didn’t come so I emailed them and their reply was, “I can see that Royal Mail has tried to deliver your order” yet on the original confirmation email it says they would email when the order has been dispatched?? So how was I meant to know if it was being delivered or not ???? Absolutely shocking! They sent me a link to track the order but I need a reference number. That was never given to me ! So I’ve emailed again and am currently waiting on another reply. Don’t order from this company
Wonderful Products
I had a lovely experience in the Amstelveen store. I bought the Hammam shower gel and body scrub. Both are excellent products. The atmosphere of the store was cozy and I was greeted with tea. Their hand scrub is phenomenal. It leaves a layer of moisture on the hands.
Poor customer service
I recieved a gift from rituals and was really excited as I genuinely love everything from there. Unfortunately the candle had melted into the box. I took this to the Brent Cross branch to see if they could exchange this. The sales advisor was very dismissive and told me that I would have to wait for a manager , he would not even look at the product like it was dirty and this encounter left me feeling so uncomfortable as he was trying to fob me of. I couldn't go back to see if the manager was there later. I just wanted to ask if they would exchange the product. Now I do not want anything from there.
Perfume genie is not wireless
I just bought the perfume genie 3, thinking I could move it from room to room or place on a tray on my coffee table, but this one does not run on a charge it needs to be plugged in. This limits placement of the product. As a luxury brand it falls way short of my expectations.
Avoid this company if you want your refund following a return
Avoid ordering online if you think you may need to make a return, and want your money back lol. I returned my items within the returns period using Rituals’ authorised Royal Mail service, and Royal Mail confirmed they were delivered. Weeks later, my refunds are still being withheld. Instead of explaining why, Rituals sent me a generic email making allegations about previous returns without identifying any issue with my specific orders or providing any evidence. I’ve had to dispute the transactions with my card issuers and am now considering legal action. Very disappointing customer service and returns process.
I purchased the 25 Year Anniversary…
I purchased the 25 Year Anniversary Limited Edition box set expecting a collection that celebrated Rituals’ heritage and embodied the premium sensory experience upon which the brand built its reputation. Instead, I found the foaming shower gels surprisingly underwhelming.
The most striking issue is the fragrance profile. Across multiple variants, there is an overpowering chemical, synthetic, aerosol-like odour that dominates the experience from the moment the product is dispensed. The effect is so pronounced that the advertised fragrance notes are largely imperceptible. Rather than revealing nuanced accords of rose, almond or other featured ingredients, the formulations present with a harsh, artificial character that completely masks the intended scent compositions.
Having compared the formulations of the original Flowers of India and the current Ritual of Ayurveda, it appears that the collection has undergone both rebranding and substantive reformulation. While the headline ingredients of Indian rose and sweet almond oil remain, the underlying composition has evolved significantly. The original formula was comparatively straightforward, relying primarily on Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, whereas the newer formulation employs a broader surfactant system, including Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Decyl Glucoside and Coco-Glucoside, alongside additional fragrance constituents and declared allergens such as Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Coumarin and Benzyl Benzoate. The products also continue to use isopentane and isobutane as aerosol propellants.
Formulation evolution is not inherently problematic and may reflect regulatory, sustainability or product development objectives. However, the cumulative effect of these changes appears to have fundamentally altered the sensory profile of the product. The result is a shower foam in which the chemical character is so dominant that the signature fragrances become secondary, if not entirely obscured. This represents a significant departure from what one would reasonably expect from a luxury, fragrance-led bathing product.
The texture is equally disappointing. The foams no longer possess the dense, rich, shaving-gel-like consistency that historically distinguished Rituals’ shower foams. Instead, they feel noticeably thinner and less substantial, diminishing both the tactile experience and the perception of luxury.
I was particularly looking forward to using the Fujiyama Foaming Shower Gel, as it is widely recognised as the first foaming shower gel introduced by Rituals in 2000. I intentionally reserved it until last because I wanted it to serve as a celebration of the product that marked the beginning of the brand’s foaming shower gel journey. However, after being disappointed by the other variants, I decided to use it sooner. Unfortunately, it proved to be equally disappointing, exhibiting the same overpowering chemical odour and diminished texture.
For a collection intended to commemorate 25 years of Rituals, I expected formulations that honoured the brand’s origins and demonstrated the craftsmanship and sensory refinement for which it became known. Instead, the anniversary collection felt less like a celebration of Rituals’ heritage and more like an illustration of how far the formulations have drifted from the luxurious, fragrance-led experience that originally distinguished the brand. Rather than evoking nostalgia or celebrating the products that established Rituals’ reputation, this collection ultimately highlights a perceived decline in both fragrance quality and formulation. Regrettably, there is very little here that feels worthy of celebrating.
More broadly, the company’s current 2.0-star Trustpilot rating and the predominance of one-star reviews indicate that a considerable number of customers have had negative experiences with the brand. While I cannot say whether these reviews relate specifically to this anniversary collection, the review profile and the apparent absence of company responses to many customer reviews create an impression of limited engagement with customer feedback. For a premium, luxury brand, I would expect a more visible commitment to listening to customers and addressing concerns.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. The company has misleading information on its website and when wrong products are sent refused to exchange for the correct product telling me to rebuy with a ten percent discount. Con company
Disappointed
I didn't realise when I placed the order, there is no way of choosing delivery carrier or delivery options. I received a confirmation order stating if I wasn't home, the only delivery option was leaving the parcel with my neighbours. This certainly isn't an option for me! I was hoping they would provide an option for leaving in a safe place / shed as I work every day. I contacted the carrier (In Post) and Rituals who advised me to contact one another! It seems the only option for me to receive my parcel is to stay like a prisoner in my own home waiting for a delivery. Terrible service.
Representative of Rituals on TikTok very Low Class
I have been buying from the internet and store in Aberdeen, but have come across a so called content creator on the app TikTok, who is known for representing many other beauty brands and does not tell the truth. She is also known for lying, cheating and blackmailing together with bullying, When I saw her advertising Rituals, I must say this put me in a position, where I will not be buying anything further because their Marketing Team have obviously not investigated enough or are they happy with this kind of person representing them who also highly filters her body and face, her language is also a lot to be desired until she is removed as advertising for them, I will abstain. Her name I think is Vavron.

Beyond disgusted with this brand for entertaining the alleged Scottish charity thief for a day of "pampering and meetings"
Vile, narcissistic woman who allows her poorly child to chow down on dog toys while she swans around play pretending to be anything other than the manipulative, hypocritical witch she really is.
