Recieved a text ...no furniture and no refund as far as the company are concerned its finished.Im told contact my bank.
I AM NOW 300 EUROS OUT OF POCKET.
AND NO FURNITURE.

They sold the goods without having them in stock. No information. After a week, I called and it turns out they don't have them, and the refund takes up to three months. Today, I have to wait for a court hearing for neither money nor goods. Maybe I'll get my money back. Rubbish. No good review. The lack of goods should have been a refund, not a waiting list.

I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from Rathwood Furniture to think twice before purchasing from this company.

I placed an order for essential furniture, including a bed for my daughter, and after waiting for my order, it was cancelled. Since then, I have spent countless hours emailing and calling customer service, only to be told repeatedly that the accounts department will process my refund. No one has been able to give me a date or provide any meaningful update.

I am still waiting for my money to be returned and have had to open a chargeback with my bank because I have lost confidence that this will be resolved promptly. As a single mother who has recently moved into a new home, this has caused unnecessary financial stress and left me without essential furniture.

The lack of communication, accountability and customer service has been extremely disappointing. If your order is cancelled, be prepared to chase your refund yourself.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying from Rathwood Furniture.

I bought some garden furniture last week when visiting Rathwood, the lady serving me was extremely helpful and assured me that it would be delivered as soon as possible to Dublin. It arrived within the week and the driver delivering was very pleasant and courteous, rang me twice en route and brought it all into the garden as requested. It's obvious that things did go badly awry for this business in recent times and customers were left out of pocket and understandably were very irate and angry as a result. However, it had been a thriving business in that area at one stage and I do hope they get a new investor and will thrive again in the future. Wishing them well.

SCAM Do not buy online, they sell things in their website saying it's in stock when it isn't and they might never be able to deliver it and then not issue a refund properly. They are in beach of multiple legislation. Scam. Google them, there are articles attesting to this, they have been found in breach by the government but continue to operate fraudulently.

Rathwood-the Co. Carlow home and garden center-is in severe financial trouble. In April 2026, the company entered High Court examinership to restructure and avoid liquidation.

If you are dealing with the company, be aware of the following details:
• The Examinership: The High Court appointed an interim examiner. While the physical store, restaurant, and other activities remain open, all customer orders and refund requests from before April 24, 2026, were frozen. ® Rathwood
• Customer Warning: The appointed examiner warned that roughly 7,000 customers owed money for unfulfilled orders or pending refunds will likely receive only a "small" amount of what they are owed.

The fact that the owners of this company are not in prison from defrauding thousands of customs will never cease to amaze me. They are allowed to continue business as normal while thousands of customers will never see the products they paid for or a refund.

On communication i am working in the furniture business all my life i know things go wrong for different reasons but customer service is very important and that we're you let your self and the customers down if you have a problem with some thing you ring the customer they might not like it but you ring them give them information on there order be honest that way there not waiting on phone calls ,Deliverys and they dont have to ring you all the time I place my order on the phone from the shop in April and not a word from anyone the order never came i rang change my order for one that was in stock and that did not come i had to ring them back this was middle of May the lady was called Anna I explained my concerns and she said she would look into it for me told me she ring me back i have talk to at least 6 people there in customer service but Anna was the only person who actually done what she said she do customer dont like it when they dont get there order but it does help if customer service ring them to say they will help .so company get a 1 and thank you for my refund and Anna get a 10

Chelsea made my experience .I had an appointment at.9.30 to have my nails done and as always they are amazing 👏

The company went in to examinership a couple of days after I ordered a polytunnel. They eventually canceled the order after many emails and now I have received a text to say they are not going to refund me, I have to try get my money back through my bank. So disappointing

AVOID!My item was never delivered and it is taking ages for the refund. Their website should have been shut down long time ago so that people will not be lured in buying furnitures from them. If not for the overseas costumer service they would not be able to answer the complains.

Ordered a bed frame 3 months ago, emailed after a month got told about the examinership and I understand that can put strain on the company so I was fine with it. Keep in mind after I ordered the bed frame I got a new mattress for it (going from a single to a double) so I’ve been sleep on my mattress on the floor for the past 2 months as I ordered the new mattress to come a week after the bed frame would come (as they were talking my old mattress and bed frame away). 2 days again I received a text saying my order will have to be cancelled and they are not in a place to distribute a refund so I had to dispute the charge in my bank. Please tell me why when I go back looking for bed frames (very specific btw, loft bed with stairs for adults) I see rathwood pop up and the exact frame I was told that couldn’t be delivered was being advertised but now 200€ more expensive??????
Don’t order with them.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They will take your money and you'll get nothing in return. Pay attention to the 1000s of warnings.

They emailed me saying the following but then the dispute gets rejected anyway, so I’m guessing I’ll have no sofa nor my money back…

If you paid by debit card or credit card, you may be able to recover your funds through your bank or card provider by submitting a chargeback or dispute claim. Many customers have successfully started this process through their financial institution.

Please do not buy from this company.
We purchased wood from them in August 2025 which they failed to deliver.
Despite numerous promises to refund us it has never happened
Despite an offer from us to take other product instead, which they refused, we have now been told that they are in examinershio and will not give us any form of refund or credit.
What I can't understand is why they are continuing to advertise and take orders?
They have in effect stolen our money almost a year ago and been allowed continue trading

Great experience dealing with Jessica B who was very kind courteous and efficient at her job.

Rathwood are currently trading despite being in receivership that has resulted in me loosing €175 for an undelivered order of logs and many others are in the same boat. How do they have the cheek to continue trading and how and who are allowing this. Please avoid this undeserving company.

Open a dispute with the bank you paid with, and give them all the details. Might help you get your money back.
I did that, and took 4 months. Got money back but they had the cheek to try and dispute it.

Everyone, please read the statement released yesterday from the CCPC regarding Rathwood - I am unable to include the link here.

Any customers affected by undelivered items/refunds should have been contacted by the Examiner, but I was one of those customers that wasn't so was unaware of what was happening. Rathwood customer service didn't provide any helpful advice either, just plenty of empty promises for months.

UPDATE: People who have ordered before the 24th of April & have not received their order are not believed to receive their order or full refund now. Please apply for a charge back through your bank as soon as possible!

I really regret that I didn't check the reviews before. I ordered chair and waited long. They assure me is that because is coming from UK that's why I need to wait longer and today I got an email that said:"As you may be aware, Rathwood is currently undergoing an examinership process. Unfortunately, the payment made for your order through Revolut was never received by Rathwood from the payment provider. As a result, we have not been in a position to fulfil your order or issue a refund directly."
Basically no money and no product, shocking...
