There is terrible censorship on this website. Forget about freedom of speech. When I laughed at their stupid rule of minimum of X characters per review quoting Shakespeare "Brevity is the soul of wit"... See more

Censored reviews, biased ratings.
Wrote two reviews and both were declined for not meeting 'guidelines', whatever that means! No reason given and no idea why. Presumably Amazon are censoring bad reviews of films that are on their platform. Waste of time contributing but also a waste of time trusting this website for impartial reviews
IMDb website is cluttered with FAQs and…
IMDb website is cluttered with FAQs and links that redirect to 404 error pages. They make contacting them extremely difficult, once you do get to an email, their response are curt and the extent of their support is to redirect back to a link page in one of their cluttered unhelpful web pages. They refused to give access to Title Scorecard to me as a representative of a production company that I own, even though I met the qualifications in their FAQ. When I asked what the reason was - this person - whom I wasn't previously communicating with decided to respond: This is Akechi from IMDb support. We apologize that we cannot approve this request at this time. Access to this service is determined by our internal eligibility criteria, which cannot be disclosed as part of our assessment policies. The decision stands as communicated.
Got it, so we can meet the criteria and whether or not a person "feels like" giving access is so based on mystery criteria. I also mentioned several times, they have 404 error messages through their site that needs to be address, they ignored that message, every single time. If zero stars was an option for webpage clarity and customer service, I would give it. As a person in entertainment, I wish we had another reputable platform besides IMDb.

Unrealistic reviews and data collection :-(
For a long time (if not for ever), the ratings are far to often completely unbelievable: Series and movies that are FAR from good are far to often terribly overrated!
On top of far to often having unrealistic positive ratings for bad series and shows, IMDb now demands that you have an account and log in just to READ others reviews!!!
IMDb claims that it is to prevent false reviews, but HOW ON EARTH can blocking READING others reviews prevent false reviews?! The REAL reason is rather that IMDb wants to pressure logged of/unregistered users to log on/create an account, and thereby track users and gain access to more data that they can harvest about their users, and thereby misuse the tracking and information to profile the users for targeted advertising!!!

Bad people
Bad people, liars and above all working with false documents. Pay attention
Used to be great, not anymore.
Checking out the seasons of tv shows is the pits, used to be easy to navigate, and at a glance. Now there are these stupid tabs. Idiot techs.

To need an account to see other people's reviews, and to reject reviews just because they don't adhere to some made-up rules..?
Yeah, I promise you all of the movies are overrated because they inflate the reviews, it's ridiculous.
absolute scam / BE CAREFUL!
absolute scam, charge you without notice, I found out = without ever using my page - they charged me last year and this year for 1 year membership that I never ever used. Be careful! Scammers! Horrible business practice, should be banned and fined. SHAME ON YOU!

Automatically creating accounts using your Amazon or Google data, without permission!
Just visited IMDb for the first time in a long time. I had previously deleted my account due to how bad the site has become since Amazon bought it. After simply viewing one page I get an email saying thanks for joining. I go back to imdb and sure enough I'm "logged in" and they have my full name and email... The account shows created today, and I can't even delete it without confirming through an email. Nah, forget that. Blocked. I double checked the associated gmail, and google shows no connection, so I can't help but assume they are taking your data from Amazon and creating an account without asking permission.
IMDb propaganda journalism and…
IMDb propaganda journalism and censorship is disgusting me and has been doing so for years. They once were the website I visited for movie reviews but now they are just garbage sellouts. Stay far away if you want factual unbiased reviews free of corruption and agendas.
Borders on fraud...
I used to read IMDB and leave the odd review. Little did I know (until I checked) that out of 16 reviews I posted, only 4 were 'accepted'. I didn't swear, I didn't libel, I didn't say anything that other posters had not already said. I just have issues with *historical characters* being gender or race swapped for no apparent reason, and of course with 100 lb 5'2" girls beating the crap out of 6'4" special forces types. Reading other posted reviews, I'm not alone in being annoyed by either of those things...but for some reason my posts are not allowed.
I can only assume one thing here, then: that IMDB is *deliberately* skewing the ratings of these shows and movies by limiting the number of negative reviews allowed after a certain number. And for the simplest of reasons: money.
I won't be back. Censorship is appalling to me no matter what the reason.
So clearly
Fake reviews and forced to sign up!
Such obviously fake reviews on nearly every new release. The review score always plummets fairly quickly when the real reviews start coming in.
Now you are not even allowed to view their fake reviews without making an account. I can understand that you require an account to write a review but just to view them!?
At least this is the push I needed to find another review site I guess. Always a silver lining!
Blatant censorship
Blatant censorship, unreliable ratings, fake reviews, terrible app.
Absolutely a dreadful website
Absolutely a dreadful website. THE WORST I have ever come across.
It used to be my go to favourite place to look at customer reviews.
Now it's impossible to even access. Amazon password nope they couldn't accept that. Google password. NOPE couldn't accept that. They I ruined this company. Congratulations. I will never use this pathetic, rubbish site, again. You will probably try to have Trustpilot take it down. Bye, IMBd don't let the door slam on your wallet on your way out.

Horrible review manipulation, outdated design, AI usage, you name it, this site has it. Absolutely do not recommend under any circumstances.
