Via the website search engine I could easily find what I was looking for. Everything I wanted was in stock. A variety of payment methods are available. I paid a little extra for 48 hour delivery so I knew I’d be in to receive my parcel. Everything worked seamlessly.

Having recently given Evans Cycles a poor review for delivery they sent me a refund for the postage and an apology. Thank you EC for rectifying.

Delivery was complicated by another company who were completely unprofessional
The returns process is confusing
The returns process is confusing, inconsistent, and unnecessarily time-consuming. Your guidance instructs customers to identify the Brand Partner and follow that partner's return instructions, yet the Brand Partner search tool does not recognise the company that shipped my item. This creates uncertainty about where the item should be returned and places the burden on the customer to resolve inconsistencies in your own system.
I spent considerable time trying to determine the correct return procedure, checking emails, searching your Brand Partner directory, and verifying the return address. The information provided was contradictory and caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. A returns process should be straightforward and unambiguous. If an item is fulfilled by another company, that company should be clearly identified in the order details, and customers should be provided with the correct return instructions or a prepaid return label without having to investigate the process themselves.
This experience has been frustrating and falls well below the standard of customer service I would expect.
I rarely leave negative reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Evans Cycles has been incredibly disappointing.
I paid an additional £50 for a two-person delivery, yet only one person turned up to deliver my bike. The bike arrived damaged on 1st June, and despite reporting the issue immediately, the bike has remained unused and sitting in store while I continue to make payments for something I have never been able to enjoy.
What has been even more frustrating than the damage itself is the complete lack of ownership from Evans Cycles. Weeks have turned into months, with constant delays, excuses about third-party suppliers, and references to internal departments. As the customer, I couldn't care less which department or external company is responsible. My contract is with Evans Cycles, and it is their responsibility to resolve the issue promptly.
Communication has been poor throughout. Every update simply tells me the case is "still under investigation" with no meaningful progress or firm resolution. It feels like I'm the one having to chase for answers while my complaint drags on indefinitely.
Mistakes happen, and I could have accepted the initial damage if it had been dealt with quickly and professionally. Instead, the after-sales service has turned what should have been an exciting purchase into a long, frustrating ordeal.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Evans Cycles. If you're spending a significant amount of money on a bike, be aware that if something goes wrong, you may be waiting a very long time for it to be put right.
I was looking online for a new mountain…
I was looking online for a new mountain bike for my son and found exactly what I was looking for. However I was unsure if the sizing. I visited the Evans cycles store at Frelimo walk in Maidstone and found there was an excellent selection of sizes and models of bikes. My son got to choose which colour and size suited him the most. And buying it was straight forward to, with plenty of payment options. And the bike is due to be delivered tomorrow, only 3 days after ordering.
Very quick delivery
Very quick delivery - only downside is had to pay postage to send back a previous item that was too small!
Delivery far too slow
Avoid dealing with these people
Avoid dealing with these people. Ordered a bike from them online. Despite them saying it could be delivered to my local Evan’s store for final assembly a checking it couldn’t. Had it delivered to my home but the saddle wouldn’t stay up. Evan’s couldn’t fix it and said it was faulty. Trying to return it was tortuous. Despite asking Evan’s for a refund they keep saying they are waiting to hear from the manufacturer of the bike. They are unable or unwilling to accept that as I bought the bike from them they are responsible. Have no option now but to take them to the small claims court.

I ordered a cycling jersey and a baseball cap got delivered. I wanted the top for a cycling holiday. I had to go through a lengthy chatbot process before being connected to an adviser. He arranged for a replacement to be sent. Unfortunately. I won’t get it in time for my trip.

Great services arrived a week before the estimated last date so would definitely recommend had bikes before from these and can’t fault them 👍
Prompt delivery & clear website .
AVOID!
Bought a brand new bike, it’s absolutely rubbish. The pedal broke on first day, they are refusing to fix/return it. So now I have to pay out to get it fixed. Avoid!!!

Ordered my bike as well as mudguards lights lock and t shirt on July 1st. Recieved mudguards lights abd shirt. Lock has been lost and the bike? No idea still when or if ill get it lol. 3 weeks nearly. Disgusting customer service. Cannot talk to anyone. Online only and keep getting told to wait wait and wait. Would recommend everyone not to use them. Last time that I will.. £1250 wasted so far. Had to give a 1 star rating as dont do lower.
Absolutely appalling experience from…
Absolutely appalling experience from start to finish.
We ordered an electric bike, but it disappeared during delivery. We eventually managed to retrieve it ourselves, with no meaningful help from Evans Cycles.
After owning the bike for only around three months, it developed a fault and became unusable. We took it to the Evans Cycles store in Chester for repair.
From that point, the customer service was completely unacceptable. We were never contacted with updates—not once. We had to keep visiting the store ourselves, and each time we were promised someone would get back to us, but nobody ever did.
Three months later, we’ve completely lost confidence that the bike will ever be repaired. We’ve now asked for either a replacement or a refund, but our emails have gone unanswered, and there seems to be no effective way to contact anyone who can resolve the issue.
We simply want the bike we paid for, yet after months of delays, poor communication, and being ignored, we’re no closer to a resolution.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Evans Cycles.

Just recently got a burley coho trailer from evans cycles online order item arrived not in original box when I opened the box the trailer looked like it had just been chucked in the box with no packaging to protect it also a flag was missing I was expecting a new and unopened item but it looks like it was a shop display model it still has a security tag on it. Not what I would expect from a well known cycle shop. 2 days and i still haven't had any reply to my email
Affordable+Good service
Honestly what first drew me was the price, i needed a bike and wasn't willing to drop too much money on it, so affordability was my main priority.
But the entire process was very smooth and easy, from checkout to the order even arriving way sooner then i expected, to the delivery driver delivering it without hassle or bothering me. Pure 10/10 from start to finish as far as i'm concerned.
