Volvo V60 D6 Plug-in…

I purchased a Volvo V60 D6 Plug-in Hybrid from Bilia Outlet. The car was presented as professionally inspected and quality checked, which gave me confidence at the time of purchase.

Shortly after the purchase, I experienced several technical faults, including issues with the generator, engine heater and starter battery. These problems took a long time to diagnose and resolve, and required repeated contact and follow-up. Bilia Outlet did eventually contribute towards some of the repair costs, particularly in relation to the generator, which I appreciated. However, the process was slow and placed a significant burden on me as the customer.

The most serious issue concerned the hybrid battery. After further use, it became clear that the battery had already significantly degraded and that the electric functionality was very limited. An independent assessment indicated that the battery was close to the end of its service life and that replacement would involve very high costs.

I raised this matter with Bilia Outlet and requested that they take responsibility in accordance with Swedish consumer protection law. Unfortunately, they refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the hybrid battery or to carry out a proper technical investigation.

As a result, I initiated a claim with ARN (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden). However, due to the time, stress and uncertainty involved, I eventually withdrew the case and was forced to sell the car at a substantial financial loss of more than 50,000 SEK.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Bilia Outlet. I would advise potential buyers to be extremely cautious and to consider independent diagnostics, especially when purchasing hybrid or electric vehicles. In my opinion, it is wise to stay clear unless all major components are fully verified before purchase.

I hope Bilia Outlet will improve transparency, inspection procedures and customer support in the future.

No support from dealer when there are problems with new car

If you consider to buy a new car, I would recommend to select another dealer: in the case of any troubles with that car you would be alone, the dealer will not provide any help. I have picked new XC60 recently and got issues with the car from the very first day: blocked rear door and wrongly functioning blinkers. When I contacted dealer, they said "we are so sorry" and that is it. We have sold you broken car, but you deal with your problems on your own. The sales representative — a nice person, but with really little knowledge about the product he is selling. Clearly, not enough education about Volvo cars. 3 weeks after picking up broken car I'm still driving it with mentioned issues.

My worst nightmare - don’t let them be yours!

If I manage to help just one person with my review I will be happy to have spared them lots of pain and stress.

Bilia should lose their certification to work with Mercedes cars.

Bilia Workshop claims to be a certified Mercedes workshop, but their incompetence and unprofessionalism tell a different story. They kept our car for six months, unable to diagnose and fix a simple issue. They don't respect appointments, constantly rescheduling and pushing them back by weeks.

They are completely incapable of diagnosing issues correctly. Every time I spoke with them, their story changed. They suggested unnecessary repairs just to see if they might fix the problem. They have the best lying tactics where you think they are being friendly and respectful but instead you are being gaslighted into thinking they will actually: “send that confirmation email today, book that appointment they promised, order the part you agreed to, change the part you agreed to change… “ when instead they will just continue ignoring you and wasting your time while making you feel like a fool.

After 6 months spent in frustration, I took my car to another mechanic. He immediately pinpointed the actual issue. He confirmed that Bilia's approach of wanting to replace multiple parts without proper diagnosis was a lazy and costly tactic.

My experience happened in Bilia Skellefteå but if I were I were you I would not go to any Bilia worksfhop.

Never lease with Bikia

I will never do business with Bilia ever again. I have leased a car with them. I told them my monthly limit and they kept raising my monthly prices because of the economy. This wasn’t ever explained to me that you can just simply increase a leased car cost after signing a contract on a specific cost. They said to me 1 year free tire hotel. Then they backtrack when I get the tires changed and he says no 1 season. Then you pay monthly for annual service fees. They try to charge me at the repair shop and I have to explain to them it’s part of the lease. I call my sales rep to ask some questions about the contract and he never responds. This overall was a horrible experience. Just go buy a used car. This company will try to screw anyone who isn’t paying attention.

Bilia Segetorp

Good customer service and the car was ready at the appointed time. However, problems with Hertz and the rental car during the repair, which means that I will only leave the car at Bilia for repair or service where I am guaranteed to get the car back the same day, to avoid having to deal with Hertz. Alternatively, if the rental car/borrowed car can be resolved in another way without Hertz, I can leave the car and wait for the repair.

Mercedes benz (Bilia) is a big lie!

Very bad experience with Bilia Mercedes in Kista. The reception was bad at the beginning. They started working on the car after 1 hour, even though I was running from my office to be on time. They finished it late and they expected me to wait the whole day. And now after one week, I got notification from the car *Service B1 overdue by 6 days* !!! They forgot to update the computer. OMG, Just careless people are working there, They asked me to go back to the workshop driving 30 km to update the car again!

I'm talking about 10 000 kr regular service at Mercedes. I wonder what it looks like at Peugeot then!!

Go to another garage for your maintenance

Don't go there they charge you 2000 Sek to tighten the weel nuts.
If you ask to change something you need to pay for investigation, even when it obvious what the issue is.

Avoid mechanic Mike N, in Lund he can only do standard tricks, but has no idea how an engine works. He gives you your car back with power loss, because his computer did not tell hen what to do. If you have an issue go somewhere else here the have general knowledge about engines. that is what I did end the engine is repaired by a non Volvo mechanic.

so I never come back there. They are nice when you want to buy, but that stops after that.

Do not go there

Yep.. do not go there. They probably get a bonus on how many clients they can trick per minute. Try to avoid it if you can. Had a service avtal with them, they canceled it because it is tied to having a creditcard to Volvia. That was canceled because temporary, i am relocated to another country than Sweden. Obviously, there is no mention of a credit card nor any mention of an address in Sweden in the agreements signed for the service avtal. Called support, they did not have a good explanation but there should be no problem, service will cost a little bit more than the monthly fee *12. Well, it turns out that the price is more than double. Use your money and your nerves wise and choose some customer friendly company. Volvo used to be a good trademark, known for quality, it is hard for me to understand why the chose to work with such a low end company.

Damaging a part, lying, asking for money, and leaving snooze in the car

Hi,
I’ve recently bought a second-hand Volvo and decided to have it serviced at Bilia Nacka. I knew the gas engine had to be replaced, so I bought a refurbished Volvo part online, brought it to Bilia, and asked to have it installed during the service. After paying 17.000SEK in service I picked up the car and asked to have the old gas engine that came originally in my car. I drove off with my daughter and by the time I was home, it was obvious that the car heavily smelled of gas. Once home I called Bilia Nacka again to report that there was an evident leak of gas from the car. They told me to bring the car back after a full week and so I did.
The day after I delivered the car, an employee from Bilia called me and told me that my car needed a new Volvo original gas motor (bought from Bilia) because - and this is important!- the one I gave them was too small. This would have cost me another 10.000SEK. With no alternatives, I accepted the verdict of the mechanic, yet, I started to wonder if these parts were really different. I called the person who sold me the refurbished gas engine and he told me that there are no different sizes or kinds. The one he sold me was a refurbished Volvo original. If there is a gas leakage it was likely because the seal of the gas motor has been damaged during a poor installation. So, I went and picked up my car for the second time.
Before paying at the check-out, I asked the employee to read to me from their working sheet why the mechanic decided to replace the gas engine. The mechanic wrote that the gas engine I provided was of different size, and that caused the gas leakage. So, I asked them to see the refurbished gas engine that they just removed. I compared it with the one that originally came with my car and that was removed during the first service and they are obviously identical. The only difference was that the one removed during the second service has the seal damaged. The employee was visibly embarrassed and told me to come back the next day to talk to the manager.
The next day, with the two gas engines in front of him the manager quickly recognized that what the mechanic wrote was a lie. A lie for which Bilia asked me to pay 10.000SEK. A lie that made me drive the car with my daughter in it while it was leaking gas. Within 30 minutes, the manager gave me the car keys without making me pay anything, but also without providing me with any documentation of what happened. At this point, I just wanted to get out of there for good. I opened the rear door to put my daughter in her car seat and in her chair there was a dried snooze. And none of us use snooze.
I brought my newly-bought second-hand Volvo to Bilia because I wanted to have a professional service from official Volvo mechanics. Sadly, I found them incompetent and profoundly unprofessional. Not only did they damage a part I bought without telling me, not only did they make me drive a car that leaked gas with my daughter in it, not only did they repeatedly lie about the origin of the problem, not only did they ask me for 10.000SEK to cover their mistakes, but they also left a half-chewed snooze in my car during the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic without any regards of sanitary measures. This is NOT acceptable. So, this is my review of Bilia Nacka, and I believe those who are considering bringing their car there should also know.

I left my car for repair on 2019-07-25…

I left my car for repair on 2019-07-25 in Bilia Södertälje, because the front drive shaft needed to be replaced. The repair was very expensive and cost me in total 9891 kr. After calling to other shops, I realised it would only cost around 5000-6000 kr.

The main reason for my disappointment is that the handle on the front passenger side was damaged and it is now not functioning properly. Unfortunately, the shop does not take responsibility for this and claims that it is not related to the drive shaft issue. I am deeply saddened and very much sure that this damage occurred at the shop. I have spoken to the shop manager and Bilia Customer Service but they refuse to help and take responsibility for causing damage on my car.
