Audi Etron GT - not reliable - severe battery issues

Hello everyone,

I would like to share my current experience with an Audi e-tron GT (acquired through the Autocorner Lutry dealership) in order to gather your opinions and inform future buyers of this model.

The facts:
• Vehicle: Audi e-tron GT, 2.5 years into a 4-year leasing contract.
• History: The vehicle has experienced 7 major battery failures, each requiring immobilization for several weeks to replace different battery modules.
• Current situation: The vehicle is once again immobilized. To date, around 7 out of 30 modules have been replaced. Statistically, in my view, the reliability over the remaining 1.5 years of the contract is seriously compromised.

The issue:
Despite these 6–7 documented critical defects, Autocorner Lutry refuses to take responsibility for an amicable termination of the contract due to a hidden defect.

I believe that Audi vehicles are not reliable when it comes to electric cars.

Audi étron GT - 7th breakdown in 2.5 y of use

Audi étron GT - same breakdown - 6 or 7 th time. I don’t count. Battery issue. The next step, it will stay several weeks at the garage waiting for spare batteries to come from Munich ! What a disaster. My advise : just never buy a electric car from Audi. There are simply not ready and also they cannot offer a proper after sale service assuming mistake and taking back the véhicle.

Lack of Client Centricity

Same arrogance as AMAG dealers around Zurich City: a test drive request is even not replied to, other then "when are you actually going to order ??": dudes, a test drive is to convince the client that your offer makes sense. As opposed to a famous EV dealership, you are welcomed like a King...they even handed me the test car for the entire weekend!!!

AMAG AG in ZUG

AMAG in ZUG.....stay away...every time I have to complain. Having had the wrong car delivered was my first terrible experience, then wrong tires and felgers put on and constant bills even though I have a full package. I can not understand why billing can not just look up my profile and check before sending bills out..then I have have to sort it out with emails everywhere. They always blame some other part of the company for their incompetence. Looking forward for my lease to be up so I can change. Salesmen are arrogant and make you think it's all your own fault. ( maybe because I am a women)...terrible terrible

Bordering on incompetence!

Amag in Switzerland has a structural problem. A few years back, Amag was staffed with full-blooded mechanics, old-style specialists who knew their product to the core. A little fatty at the organizational level, true, but competent, trustworthy, and customer-oriented. Then came the change when the adepts of maximizing profits took over, the acolytes of an overly structured environment without flexibility that values procedure over competence. That meant that all the old staff were fired and replaced by a younger and much less experienced generation with an attitude, whilst jacking up the prices to ever greater heights. People trained well to syphon money off of you, but with a significant drop in work quality, that still got worse over time.

We just had yet another experience with the dealership in Vevey when our vehicle developed a dangerous electronic problem. They had the car for the better part of a week, but for the life of them, couldn’t find the issue. And that by requesting forever increasing amounts of money at an exorbitant tariff. In the end, the car was returned unfixed after a few days. Meaning, Amag Vevey just gave up on a professional challenge. To their credit, however, it must be said that they didn’t charge for the research work. Long story short, I finally found a competent specialist outside Amag who detected the problem in about five minutes. A broken part that cost next to nothing and was dead easy to replace.

Lastly, this was just the last one in a long list of incidents where work was either badly executed and had to be readdressed or some organizational hiccup happened. And it’s not getting better. So, if you can avoid this company, do so.

AMAG = negligence in Vehicle Maintenance + no service

Bought a car from Amag (Lausanne) last year, and apparently, brake pads are optional for them! Had a lovely vacation ruined when my brakes failed, just a month after a thorough (and expensive CHF 800.-) service where they didn’t bother to check them. Who needs safety when you can gamble with surprise emergency repairs instead? Thanks for the adventure, Amag! I tried contacting them several times for an explanation, but they didn't answer (several weeks without any answer). Don't risk going there

Was charged 4.4 thousand francs after returning the rented car

After using AMAG's long term rental for almsot 2 years, I returned the car and as charge three separate invoices totalling over 4.4 thousand. The invoices had no details for what I was being charged.
After paying one invoice and speaking with them I was told these invoices were for the insurance company.
The rental had a maximun insurance premium of 1,000. So how come they are charging me 4.4k?!
It is ludacris

I brought my car to Amag Fribourg to…

I brought my car to Amag Fribourg to have my clutch replaced( a standard normal procedure) over 5 months ago. After spending approximately 4000 chf on the parts and labor I was told I could come pick up my car, the min I sat in my car and tried to start it it wouldn’t start, it said “push clutch to start car”. I was in disbelief, I tried several times, with no luck, so I went back in to find the agent that was attending to me, he then came out with me and I showed him what was happening, 1 try 2 tries 3rd try it started up, to where he replied oh it’s normal. I repeated to him it’s normal? He said yes. So trusting him or half trusting him I least as I needed my car. This problem of starting the car persisted for months and only became worse. So I took my car back to Amag, they said they’d have to order a new part and it would be fine. So I once again waited for another week for them to fix the issue, again I went to pick up my car and this time when I picked up my car it started so I was happy until I notice the ERC light was now on, which after looking into it is not a good thing and can be a warning light with serious problems attached. I called and agai. The guy deflected me and told me this is normal. I laughed and said no I then took my car to another Amag located in Bulle( where they were amazing and helpful) the complete opposite of the Amag in Fribourg. I then left my car in Bulle it was later towed to Fribourg as unfortunately for me is where I had the initial fix take place. They did not give me a replacement vehicle I had to find my own. Keep in mind that five months has gone by at this point. I was then told that they would source the issue and they did two weeks later I go pick up my car and it starts perfectly fine and as I’m pulling out, I hear clunk clunk clunk as my suspension is bottoming out on the vehicle which means my suspension has popped, also when I picked up my car there was 250 km added onto the vehicle as I reset my mileage to zero when I dropped it off there was not 250 km and I don’t know if it’s normal for a dealership to drive your car for 250 km, it seems out of the ordinary to me. So while the car was under their care and they driven it to have 50 km my DRL system on my 2008 Audi RS four has popped and is now bottoming out. They told me it’s not their fault you tell me if you borrow someone’s car and ruin it while you’re driving it who’s fault is it?
Needless to say, I will never return to Amag Fribourg, and I regret, not taking the warnings that I was told from several people not to ever take my car there to be fixed shame on them and too bad for me, I suppose.

As the owner of a transport and car…

As the owner of a transport and car rental company, I was cheated by AMAG car dealership. I was looking for a vehicle for leasing on the condition that I can rent it. They said that it is not a problem that I can use the car for whatever I want, but that I should watch the kilometers. I got a free gps tracking device so I can track where my vehicle is going. After the vehicle was stolen and the insurance does not want to pay, an email arrives from AMAG leasing that I was not allowed to rent the vehicle! In my case, the AMAG leasing lawyer advises me that my company sues privately the seller who works at the AMAG dealership because they have nothing to do with AMAG.ch car sales!!! BIG WARNING !!!!PEOPLE BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!!☠️AMAG☠️.ch or leasing☠️

Amag have an easy business model

Amag have an easy business model. They do not send you the bill, then, send you one including penalty/interest for late payment.

How much extra money are they making under this method ? Happened to us almost every month for the past 2y so it might be a lot ^^
