Not delivered what was ordered!
First off and for clarity’s sake, Transfeero completed the transfer to the final destination and thus fulfilled the contract. But not without some disturbing glitches. The order was for a driver to be ready at Berlin Brandenburg Airport upon arrival of the plane and waiting at the gate or exit with a duly completed nameplate with subsequent final transportation to the destination. This included – as per the company’s website – unlimited waiting time and flight tracking. The waiting time thing turned into 60 minutes somewhere in the fine print.
The booking process was easy and efficient, albeit not without some strange calculation maneuvers. Meaning, they're good at collecting money but the "...what you see is what you pay..." experience didn't quite happen that way. As promised, the driver indeed contacted us a few hours before the arrival of the plane. First off, Transfeero subcontracts in Berlin to a company called Go Taxi Tours which is fine if the company delivers as per specifications. But - this is also a company whose website is your WhatsApp application, apparently.
And then it started. We got a few options delivered to meet the driver, the most memorable ones were one to meet the driver at the gate and then walk 25 minutes to the free parking area. Or - again - have the driver waiting at the gate and pay him VIP parking at 25 EUR per hour. I beg your pardon? Want a coffee to go with that? Finally, we agreed to meet him at the "...the designated meeting point..." which was the normal taxi stand. No nameplate, no driver waiting at the exit.
Unbeknownst to us, fate had other plans and the connecting flight didn't make it on time. Thus, the journey continued on a different one. Transfeero (Go Taxi Tours) rebooked a new car and claimed they only had a more expensive business car available, at 25 EUR extra. Not sure what a business car is, not a category Transfeero had, but we paid them the extra. And here it comes, at first they wanted the extra to be paid onto a Revolut Card by using a link. A LINK?? Guys, that's right out of the playbook of online scams. I mean, come on! This isn't acceptable business behavior, it's scammy and dodgy and not something I'd expect from a respectable limousine service. The driver was finally paid in cash - but could not provide a receipt. Come again? A company of renown boasting "...professionally trained drivers..." cannot issue a receipt so we have proof of payment? There's more, but I guess we stop here.
In short, the quiet transfer with a driver with a nameplate waiting at the exit upon arrival did not happen. Instead, we got conflicting and chaotic demands that were nowhere on the menu with unsavory incidents that truly left a bad aftertaste. Next time we just hail a taxi. Will be cheaper and no hassle.
