Not EU bandit in NS uniform ataked me in Arkel.

Today, circa 21.117 a non-European terrorist in a conductor's uniform attacked me on a train at Arkel station, knocking me down, breaking my orthosis, and ignoring my earlier statement that I was 80 to 100% disabled. His friend saw it and didn't react at all. He knocked me down while I was on my bike and tried to beat me up because I didn't hear what he was saying. No one has ever treated me like that. These people were looking for a fight because I hadn't assembled a mini The conductor had seen the disability document before, but she never reported the problem. The other conductors know me, and no one asked me to assemble my bike. I only asked for empathy, but I was brutally attacked, knocked down, and stripped of all dignity. The driver, the conductor, and the non-EU man in the NS uniform were acquaintances, and I presume they were under the influence of a strong stimulant, because such an attack couldn't have happened otherwise. Instead of help, they attacked me brutally. I have proof of this brutality! bike. Remember, I'm disabled. Fascists, people with complexes. I'm reporting this incident to the police.

NS: The Most Dutch Government Department

It’s always something: 2 minutes here, 5 minutes there, a cancelled train, an hour-long delay… Literally no part of the journey goes as planned. At this point, you almost have to admire the consistency. It actually seems intentional. Shameful.

And then on their website they say: “Tijdens of rondom je reis kan er soms iets misgaan.”

SOMS?? That’s adorable.

NS operates less like a company providing a service to paying customers and more like some spectacularly inefficient bureaucratic government department: nothing works as it should, nobody seems particularly concerned about it, but somehow the tax collection runs flawlessly.

I can't believe NS customer service is…

I can't believe NS customer service is so incompetent. I have been trying to see how I can get a refund for a ticket that I accidentally double-issued for one whole day, without any results. I got transferred to 3 different agents, who told me totally different things. After 2 and a half hours of useless exchanges, I was told to come back the next day, because an expert was needed for this case... After 5 and a half hours (!!), an agent asked me if I was still there, and since I was not there they had to close the conversation. I contacted them again today, as instructed, but no one has answered yet... Utterly frustrating experience, and totally unexpected

The inspector’s behavior was arrogant…

The inspector’s behavior was arrogant aggressive and completely unacceptable He challenged my valid OVpay check-in while apparently lacking basic knowledge of the system he is supposed to enforce On Wednesday 26 Aug during my trip from Utrecht to Eindhoven NLOVB85Y9VB8WRD5VE I was subjected to humiliating treatment because of this I later went to the customer service desk at Eindhoven station where they confirmed that my OVpay check-in was 100% valid A passenger should NEVER be humiliated because an inspector does not understand the payment system he is checking I have proof of the valid transaction below I expect NS to investigate this incident and explain how this was allowed to happen or I will not use OVpay again or advise others to use it. I must say that the amsterdam hoofdorrp…

I must say that the amsterdam hoofdorrp via schiphol section is reliable. My score is for their ticketing system, which is a total rip off. They add, €1.60 on each ticket sold without either offering refund when returned or uploading value. So its like throwing money out. My three tickets cost me technically 19.80€ for a rt hoofdorrp schiphol and a return ticket to amsterdam plus €1.60 each time for a total of €4.80. Now imagine the money ripped off people's pockets by that policy??? Its a shame because if you don't print or have a digital ticket, they simply add that amount on each ticket sold without offering any reloadable card from vending machines.. I had to vent my frustration. Beware.

Unreliable railway

trains that go down or under maintenance seemingly every other week. What do you need to repair so often, and usually on the same lines lol.
Delays are understandable but so often?

If it was possible to leave a -100…

If it was possible to leave a -100 review it’s what I’d leave it’s the worst transport service the only consistent thing they have is the constant delay of trains at every stop and yet most times people have connecting buses or trams which leads to long waiting times especially at night for people that work night hours this is a pain . -10/10 review if there was another service provider available I’d opt for it than NS

Terrible organisation

They’ve decided to suspend the trains between Weesp and Almere for construction, fine. They provided alternative transport but it is so badly organised, the bus arrived AFTER the scheduled departure time and left 10 mins late causing me to miss my connection. If you’re going to offer alternative transport, at least regulate the departure times like you would a normal train or bus. Some people have to get to work on time. Furthermore, have always had a terrible experience with this company, expensive and dirty trains, last minute cancellations and delays is a common occurrence, too small trains for popular journeys so everyone has to cram inside. Overall terrible and unreliable service, do better

Expensive for very low value

Stay away from trains in the Netherlands. Very expensive. First class looks like third class. Chaotic organisation. It’s a shame for a country like this.

NS, the national treasure

During construction they marked snelbus as solution. According to schedule it was 1 every 20 minutes, which is not even close to reality. We had one bus after more than 40 minutes of waiting. Half of the customers were left behind since there weren’t enough seats on the bus. Communication 0, Customer Service unreachable and falsely advertised when trying to submit complaints. This is not a singular event but the state of NS. Overpriced fees due to monopoly and their attitude respects that.

I got the summer dal vrij subscription …

I got the summer dal vrij subscription that they were offering for 49 euros and assumed that if I travelled during the dal uren(off peak hrs ) then it would be fine.
Later when the bill for an extra 47 euros came, I went on to check my travel history and saw that they had charged me full price for two train travels that I had done (on different days) in the evening during the off peak hrs! I called their customer service and asked about it and that person told me that before the train, I had ridden a bus(arriva) during the peak hrs! So that’s why they charged me full price as they consider “that bus ride as the beginning of the travel”!!! Even though I had fully checked out from the arriva bus and then checked in the train during the offpeak hrs, my travel would still be considered as a “peak hr travel”!!!
Before the dal vrij summer subscription, I had been subscribed to the dal voordeel subscription for many years. So I know that the time when you check in the train counts as “the train ride” and not the other vehicles that you have ridden before that. I have taken lots of trams, busses during the peak hrs and then taken the train during offpeak hrs and never have I ever been charged full price!
So when I asked the customer service person if there was any other person I could speak to or complain to , he coldly said, “there’s no body you can speak to. It is what it is” ! What a fraudulent organisation! I have no words!

Because I have to travel on trains often so I have no other choice to continue on using ns as I don’t have any alternative as of now. But for sure, ns is a fraudulent, scamming company. Day light robbery, they are doing. Yet nobody is there to stop them. They advertise that if you take the dal vrij subscription and travel during the offpeak hrs, the train rides would cost you only 49 euros the whole month! The offer looks very tempting but there are lots of strange, hidden rules that they fail to mention in those offers!

An absolute nightmare dealing with…

An absolute nightmare dealing with customer service. Received bills many times after cancelling a service I haven’t used for years yet they still take my money. Handed me to a debt collector that had no idea I existed. Hours wasted on the useless AI chat to then wait excessively to talk to someone who also had nothing but condescending responses.

Abandoned half way through our journey.

We were travelling from Den Haag to Schiphol. There was an incident on the track and we were told to get off train in Leiden. Just abandoned. Nobody to help us or offer advice. We ended up having to get two buses to Schiphol. Trying to get a refund from them is a nightmare. They do not make it easy.
