Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service, i have been with them for over a year & great service provided. since they got taken over by imagine i have nothing positive to say. My internet was down for over a week and a half, after numerous phone calls (lengthy hold times over 1.5 hrs one day), online chat (by the way imagine don't provide this service for rural wifi customers when they eventually respond). Oh & got an invoice in the meantime for a service that they are not even providing!!! They eventually got NBI out to fix the line last Friday 3/10/2025, Rang again today as now we are connected but no internet. After 45mins waiting on hold spoke to SIRI (a person)who told me there was nothing wrong with the line, wanted the serial number from the Zytel modem & explained that i was in work. He told me t call back between there opening hours of 9 to 6, i explained that i am in work for those hours & wasn't willing to take a days holidays so i could be at home. I asked if he could call my daughter who would be at home to look at the lights flashing!! he said he couldn't call her because they were very busy but that she should call back (he wont even speak to her if she calls back as its not in her name!!!!) I asked him would he not do me the courtesy of calling my daughter who is at home seeing as i have had so many issues with the broadband & whoo nope not a hope they are too busy!! These guys are supposed to be providing a service for gods sake. I told him i then wanted to speak to a manager & low & behold all the managers are in meetings & he doesn't know if they will call me back or not. So here i am yet again with shit internet even though paying for fibre 500mb. AVOID THESE GUYS, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGRACEFULL
Horrible customer experience
I have been a customer of rural wifi since June 2022 all was great until July 2025. My wifi stopped working I was sent a new box it did not work and I was sent another it did not work I have been without Internet for 3 months. A few days ago I was sent a brand new 5g box it's not working I rang support yesterday they said the sim card wasn't activated that just goes to show how pathetic they are as a company. After supposedly activating my sim card it still does not work I emailed the sales manager even cotter on the 2nd of October he has just ignored me and they are forcing me to stay in my contract until August even though they are don't have the integrity to provide my service. I will be taking legal action against them. Please do not ever consider becoming a customer they will scam you.
Since imagine took over !
Since imagine took over, I'm cancelling! So many things and no customer service ! One day I spent 1hour 20 mins trying to get through to be told, your rural wifi have to transfer you. I hung up after a further hour!

Lovely friendly service
Lovely friendly service , nothing too much bother , however they are much more expensive than our new supplier will be , I originally gave four stars but
I am changing my review as I have found out that they have sold out to imagine , which means they have given my details to another party without my knowledge or consent . What a shame I am altering my former good opinion of them for breaking my trust on data protection.

Awful service since being taken over by Imagine
It was only a few months ago that I left a great review for rural wifi. It's very sad that I have to give them the lowest possible rating at this point. It would go into the negative if I had an option to do so.
I have been a customer since 2021.Their customer service used to brilliant, and any issues were fixed promptly.
For those who don't know, rural wifi have been taken over by Imagine. We had imagine years ago and found their service to be pretty awful, so we switched.
Since being taken over by Imagine, Rural WiFi seems to have gone the same way.
We moved house a few days ago, and in the middle of all the madness, have waited for half an hour on the phone, several times a day, only to be cut off. I have also sent emails for assistance, to no response.
Therefore I am cancelling my service, and would not recommend it to anybody at this point.
I DO NOT recommend this company
Having issues for the past month with no help whatsoever. False promises made to rectify but then just radio silence since. They will not give me my UAN number either which I need to change suppliers, I have had to contact ComReg to take it further. There are much better internet suppliers out there who actually have customer service.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY - they had been taking money from our account even though we instructed them to STOP..sent numerous emails and got threats and stone walled - horrendous company, no ethics and no values - save yourself time, whatever you think about Elon Musk - his starlink will be the reason these guys go out of business and the sooner the better -NOT RECOMMENDED
Poor Customer Service
Sent two e-mails 48 hours ago, no response. Have been on their service line now for 26min listening to music. I have been a customer for almost two years and pay above the odds for service. fool me.
Customer service is apalling
Customer service is apalling. Only one person from what I understand. No notice of any issues with sending the modem, over two weeks later and then customer service was 50mins plus. I gave up in the end.

Once again, I cannot praise Rural WiFi and in particular its support team of Claire and Ciara enough, my internet went down, some kind of technical glitch with the sim card on Thursday morning, I was in fear of not having it for the weekend ( daughter home from college etc ! ), but I needn't have worried, thanks to Claire and Ciara, I was back up and running by 4pm Friday afternoon, fantastic customer support service . Thank you.

Poor customer service. Unprofessional and defensive. Cancelling wifi contract after over 2 years was a hassle.
Extremely dissapointed
I have been extremely disappointed with Rural Wifi. Despite paying a hefty monthly fee, the internet coverage has been abysmal from day one, and it becomes completely useless after 6pm. They promise reliable service but fail to deliver on any level. I feel completely robbed, and it’s unacceptable that they advertise a service they simply cannot provide. Avoid this provider if you value a consistent internet connection. Plus the 300 euro set up fee that they still want you to give back the equipment. Absolute joke.
Seamless wi-fi and broadband
I joined rural wi-fi and from the get-go the whole procedure was pain free, excellent customer service from there agent Pauric in sales. And the installation team arrived on the date issued and installed the broadband in super fast time, my broadband is running fantastic and the speed is amazingly fast. Then support team lead up by Dawn and later by ciara who contacted me to see if all was running as it should. I’m very impressed by this companies approach to its customers and are cheaper per month than my previous supplier. I can’t recommend rural wi-fi enough and am delighted I joined. I’d advise any person needing wall to wall broadband to make contact with their sales team. Very happy with this company.

Brilliant!!
Best decision we made was to switch from sky to rural WiFi last year. Service is flawless. No issues ever and I work remote full time so we needed great Internet. Have recommended to all my friends and family that they switch to rural WiFi. The staff are fantastic and the switch was seamless. They looked after everything and we are very happy :)

My call was answered by a friendly person and not a recorded message with awful music.
I was having issues with my WiFi over the Christmas period. I rang customer care and spoke to a fabulous girl called Ciara. She guided me step by step and reset the router. I can only say Ciara was a absolute joy to deal with. Patient, helpful, friendly and understanding. I'm glad to say thanks to Ciara, I'm a extremely happy customer 😊
