Fitbit and Google account a waste of time
I have just purchased a Fitbit but unable to use the Fitbit app as you now need a Google account to gain access to it. I created an account but it won’t let me log in as says unusual activity and can’t send verification code - what a waste of money! Do not buy a Fitbit now you can’t use the Fitbit app
Absolute nightmare service, never buying Google again.
Absolute nightmare service, never buying Google again.
I decided to switch to Google because my iPhone’s battery was dying right before a holiday. The Pixel was supposed to arrive before I left, but the delivery got delayed. I kept telling customer support agents I was going to be away, but no one offered a real solution. To make matters worse, the DPD driver ended up throwing the phone right over my garden fence.
On top of that, the free case that was supposed to come with my promotional bundle was randomly cancelled. Getting it sorted was an absolute ordeal. I wasted hours on live chat dealing with useless, scripted responses like "we understand your concern" over and over again. It felt like talking to brick walls or bots.
In the end, their only "solution" for the missing case was telling me to buy it out-of-pocket on my own card, and then promise to refund me after it arrives. No extra compensation offered for the massive delay, the awful courier handling, or the hours of wasted time. Nobody actually listens or wants to help.
Google, this is shocking service. I will never buy a Google product again and definitely won't recommend them to anyone.
Placed an order
Placed an order, then got an email that the item has been shipped, provided tracking number showed that item has been returned back to the sender, Google Store. Even got confirmation from DHL that the shipper is the one that can do anything about it! Now, there are no ways to call someone in Google Store, option is you wait for call back, takes forever!- spoken to a CS and the guy was adamant that there is nothing wrong with the tracking!! And I should just wait, or call the delivery company.. told him that I have done that, and there is no point in waiting for a package that has been re-routed back to them. Nevertheless, he was confident that there is nothing wrong with the delivery!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Order GS.8256-8697-0917
I tried to return an item within my statutory rights but they’re outright refusing my return and refund request without clear, valid reason. What’s worse: they wasted 2 entire weeks investigating the completely wrong issue, this whole mess is their fault from the start.
I asked for just one reasonable exception to fix their error but they won’t budge. Every reply is just repeated copy paste lines, no proof, no specific explanation for why my return is rejected. They’re ignoring the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and denying my legal right to return/reject goods.
This is terrible, unaccountable service, they dodge responsibility and drag things out on purpose. I’m now escalating this internally. Do not shop here, they will take your money and refuse valid returns.
Paid full retail price for a new pixel pro and was sent a used one.
Paid full retail price for a new pixel 11 pro and received a used one!!! Absolutely shocking, for a big brand like this.
Instead of getting immediate apology and rectify their mistake and issue an exchange promptly. Customer service chat wasted 4hours of my time. Asking me to explain what happened that was said in the very first message. Saying just because someone else’s car plate was registered in the wallet does not guarantee it’s a refurbished phone, unbelievable. After suggesting a replacement, judging this initial experience it was really difficult to trust them, I asked how do I know for sure the replacement won’t be another refurbished phone. Agent said he can’t guarantee it, it depend on the availability and location where the stock is sent it could be new it could be refurbished and tried to convince me their refurbished phone look and operate just like new. Once again I could not believe my eyes!! I rejected it asked to transfer to a supervisor and he said they both access to the same tool I will only hear the same info. He was not wrong. Second operator also said the same thing. Third operator said I will get a ‘pristine’ replacement. But also followed up with the same reinforcement on how good their refurbishment is. Which to me pristine sound like in great condition instead of brand new. So I asked him to confirm if it’s brand new untouched unit and agent repeated it reinforced with the word pristine instead just answer me yes it’s new just make it extremely difficult to trust them. In the end my after noon time was wasted, I simple cannot trust this retailer, originally decided to shop with them for the trade in bonus but in the end had to return it and end up wasting more money than I had to, to buy else where because they simply cannot be trusted. This matter other retailers would have been a simple acknowledge, appology and offer a solution. Yet somehow this back and forth thing managed bloody 4 hours before someone can promise me a brand new replacement. Scary to think, if not because of someone’s plate registration remained on the system, I’d never be able to find out!
No help by google.
I wanted to try the new google pixel and got a bad experience from the start. I ordered the wrong screen protector by mistake. After 3 weeks trying to cancel it they still shipped it. I have no way to return it and they were no help.
Customer service non existent....
Order (a phone plus case) was placed easily enough on the website and delivery promised for two days later.
Two days later....order not even dispatched.
Contacted customer service who told me to wait until the revised delivery date had passed (who revised it? That was a new one on me!) then they would take action.
Revised delivery date comes and goes.....order still hasn't been dispatched.
Customer service agent now tells me order has been lost...doubtful that as it is still in the Google warehouse!
Two more days pass then the case part of the order is suddenly cancelled. Not in stock apparently.
Next day, the phone is dispatched. It arrives two days later.
In total, about a week after it should have done.
The phone is great but the delay wasn't acceptable and customer service is truly shocking. They sound as though they are reading from a script and no amount of reasoning with them will make them scrap the script and take real, useful action. I suspect I was conversing with a bot, not a human.
I won't be using them again.
Fitbit Versa 4
Fitbit Versa 4. First one broke within warranty and got a new one free. Second then died just past the 12 month warranty. Support told me they'd fix it...but not today... nothing for 4 days. Contacted again, Support told me they couldn't fix it and it was out of warranty so I'd get a 30% off discount voucher - a week later.. nothing the device was always way out on any intense exercise HR and tricky to use when damp. It was unreliable on auto-detect exercise and clearly the robustness and support service are extremely poor. Now a Garmin user.
Extremely disappointing Google Store…
Extremely disappointing Google Store experience — £409 order and hours of wasted time
Order no.
GS.1988-9139-8198
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Google Store. What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into an incredibly stressful and time-consuming experience.
On 20 August 2026, I ordered a Pixel 10a with a Pixel 10a Case (Obsidian) for a total of £409. The case was included as a promotional offer when purchasing the phone, which was one of the reasons I chose to buy the phone directly from Google. The promised delivery date was 22 August 2026.
This was intended as a gift for someone very important to me the following day. Unfortunately, the order did not arrive on time, meaning I was unable to give the gift as planned. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I contacted Google on 24 August to find out what was happening. The support experience was very poor, and I eventually asked Google to cancel the order and refund me. I specifically explained that, if the order arrived late, I no longer needed it and did not want to be forced through a lengthy returns process for something that had already missed the date it was needed.
Then, on 27 August, I received an email saying that part of my order — the phone case — had been cancelled.
I contacted Google again via chat, and later by phone. Unfortunately, I spent a significant amount of time repeating the same situation to different representatives, without getting a satisfactory resolution. I was told that the cancelled part of the order could not simply be refunded or otherwise resolved in the way I expected.
This is particularly frustrating because I purchased the phone and case together as one promotional deal. The total amount I paid was £409, and the availability of the promotional case was part of the reason I chose to purchase from Google rather than another retailer, where I could have bought the phone itself for less.
As a customer, I feel completely let down. I made the purchase in good faith based on the offer, paid the requested amount, and expected the order to be delivered by the date Google provided. Instead, I have been left spending hours communicating with customer support, both through chat and on the phone, trying to resolve an issue that should never have become this complicated.
I also asked how I could make a formal complaint. Instead of being given a clear complaints escalation process, I was directed towards submitting feedback. That left me feeling that there was no meaningful way to escalate my complaint or have the matter properly investigated.
The amount of time and stress this situation has caused has been significant. I have spent hours dealing with Google when I should have been working and dealing with other responsibilities. The experience became so overwhelming for me that it seriously affected my wellbeing, and I had to seek medical attention from my doctor.
I appreciate that delivery problems can sometimes happen. What has been particularly unacceptable, however, is the way Google has handled the problem afterwards. I would have expected a company of Google's size to take ownership of the situation, provide a clear explanation, and offer a reasonable resolution rather than repeatedly sending me between different support channels.
At this point, I feel that I have lost money, time, and considerable effort, despite trying to resolve everything directly with Google.
I am now considering taking the matter further through the appropriate UK consumer complaint and escalation channels because I do not feel that Google has provided an adequate resolution.
Google needs to take responsibility for the overall customer experience here, not simply treat this as a routine delivery or cancellation issue. I believe a proper resolution should include appropriate compensation for the significant inconvenience, time, distress and disruption caused by this experience.
I genuinely hope Google reviews this case properly and provides a resolution rather than another generic response from customer support.
Dangerous swollen battery on pixel 6a…
Dangerous swollen battery on pixel 6a (492 cycles) - google support refusing out of warranty exception for housebound user
I am posting to publicly escalate Case ID: 0-4256000040717. My Google Pixel 6a has a severely swollen battery that is getting hot and splitting the phone chassis apart.
The device has only completed 498 charge cycles, proving this is a premature manufacturing defect and an active fire hazard, not standard wear-and-tear.
I am completely housebound and disabled. This phone is my absolute lifeline to my GP and mental health services. Because a swollen lithium-ion battery is a severe household fire risk, I have been forced to power the device down, leaving me completely cut off from my medical support team.
When I emailed the Battery Programme Team, they flat out refused an out-of-warranty exception under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Instead, their solution was to tell me to physically walk into an authorised EE or iSmash store and pay out-of-pocket for a repair.
Telling a housebound, disabled consumer to travel to a retail store with a volatile, hazardous battery is completely unacceptable and discriminatory. I cannot leave my home to use a public phone, let alone drop off a parcel or visit a shop.
I need a Senior Google Community Manager to intercept my case file immediately. I am demanding an Advanced Exchange replacement phone delivered directly to my door, or a full Google Store voucher so I can safely restore my emergency communications from home without paying out-of-pocket for their faulty hardware.
Contacted Google about Versa 4 Fitness…
Contacted Google about Versa 4 Fitness Watch Trying to set up new Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness for Daughters birthday uploaded receipt from 6/25/26 first prior to phone conversation on 8/25/26 Jenn said that is known glitches and issues trying to pair app on phone with watch but could not give any info when will be corrected so since new watch wanted replacement on warranty I purchased on Amazon BUT sold by printed AMAZON.COM which I understand is Authorized seller and did google search on that to confirm but she said was not and would not transfer me to Supervisor I asked twice.
Only buy if you have a google phone
I bought a google pixel watch 5 after reading the reviews on google, they stated that the watch is capable with iOS and android, so I thought great I received the watch I tried for hours to connect to the watch, I could connect if I bought another app to connect the watch to iOS,even though I downloaded the google ware app,
So I downloaded the app for my android phone and again I needed a third party app to connect to the phone, to be honest you have to have a google phone to connect to the watch, the advertisement about easy connection is total false, so I returned the watch today I will not buy google stuff again.

1 star
1 star — Google Store sent me an empty box instead of the phone I had been dreaming of
I ordered the product directly from the official Google Store. I was really looking forward to my purchase, but when I received the package, the device was missing. I received essentially an empty box instead of the product I paid for.
For me, this is not just a disappointing experience — it is a serious financial problem. I paid for an expensive product, but I was left without it.
I immediately contacted Google Store Support and provided all the necessary information and evidence. However, instead of receiving a quick and fair resolution, I was met with refusals and no proper explanation as to why I should be left without both the product and my money.
What disappoints me the most is that this was the official Google Store, where I expected a completely different level of customer protection and responsibility.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want to receive the product I paid for or receive a full refund.
Google, please review my case again and conduct a proper investigation. I sincerely hope the company will not leave a customer in this situation without both the product and the money they paid for it.
Very disappointed with Google Store. I expected much more responsibility from a company of this size and reputation.
Bring back the old Fitbit map
Bring back the old Fitbit map. Google health is terrible. Unreadable. Confusing. A total mess.
Avoid Google products, non-ethical pricing practices- Lost Charge 6 at sea due to the faulty band!
Title: Avoid Google products, non-ethical pricing practices- Lost Charge 6 at sea due to the faulty band!
I was previously a very satisfied user of the Fitbit Inspire 3, but upgrading to the Charge 6 resulted in a total loss. The issue isn't the software or the screen, but a major and unacceptable design flaw for the band's fastening system. The peg-and-loop mechanism is a huge downgrade in terms of security.
During a trip at sea, the band came undone without the slightest resistance after a simple snag. The result: the tracker sank to the bottom before I even realized it was gone. To make matters worse, customer support limits complaints to a 100-character field, making it impossible to explain this design flaw in detail.
I was still able to reach out to google support service. They recognized the bands not being the best performing one. Worst: they offered me a discount if I want to purchase a new Charge 6. When I went to Google Store, I was shocked seeing the price double then the current one on the Swiss market where I live, as well as the purchase price. I found it not ethical to increase prices after Fitbit was acquired by Google. The discount customer service offered would result in a price higher than the current one on the market. I decided to leave google and go for an alternative from another vendor. It’s pity Google is behaving such way.
Worst store I have ever browsed
Worst store I have ever browsed. Just wanted to browse the Fitbit watches but you have to go through so many convoluted different pages and comparisons all seemingly designed to direct you towards the most expensive product. Literally all I wanted to do was find the cheapest Fitbit as the only thing I needed to do is track my steps. That's it. I just wanted the cheapest one for that reason. I couldn't just sort by cheapest. Ridiculous.
I don't want to be directed towards the most expensive one that tells me my heartbeat is rising and I am stressed because some director at work has spent the last hour talking in nothing but meaningless soundbites and clichés but given us literally no information. I know this
I don't want one that tells me I sleep terribly, I know this already.
I don't want a watch that tells me I am close to psychotic because some cretin in a Tesla model 3 is 2 feet from my tailgate because he wants to bully me out of the way so he can get to watch his next dogging event 3 seconds sooner, I already know I get enraged by bullies and won't back down.
I just want to count my steps with the cheapest model but this diabolical store won't just let me view all fitbits and sort in price order. Terrible.
Don't buy a fitbit product, google has ruined fitbit
Been a fitbit fan for a long time, always loved their features and accuracy, but now google have ruined the fitbit brand. My sense 2 sleep tracking is terrible, you get a great sleep score even if you have insomnia, fails to track correctly, battery power is worse. I will never buy another fitbit again.
