I’m extremely happy with my Loake Chesters in mahogany. They looked great online, but they’re even better in person. The mahogany leather is a beautiful, rich color, the brogue detailing is excellent, and the overall quality and craftsmanship are obvious as soon as you take them out of the box.

They have exactly the classic English look I was after and feel substantial without being too heavy. The rubber sole is a great choice as well. It makes them practical and comfortable while still looking like a proper traditional brogue. They work especially well with chinos, wool trousers, and my Harris Tweed jacket.

My experience ordering directly from Loake was excellent too. The website made shopping easy, communication was good, and delivery was fast and trouble-free. Everything arrived well packaged and in perfect condition.

These are my first Loake Chesters, and I couldn’t be happier with them. Beautiful shoes and a great buying experience.

Being the proud owner of a pair of looks Monk strap shoes, when the needed repair I took them to the shop at Ashford outlet Mall. I was given a receipt and told they MAY take four to six weeks. I was surprised as the website says 30 days. However, forewarned etc.
To my shock it took best part of eleven weeks. Looks H.O. were useless and no help. The store staff said I should complain.
I did, they say they'll respond in 3 days days. Nearly two weeks and nothing from Looks.
Awful service

Website has advertised shoes on sale over several weeks (ordered twice) which allowed me to proceed to completed purchase only to be contacted subsequently to say that the shoe in question is not available though still advertised for purchase on website. Promptly and courteously dealt with by staff but, having happened twice in a short period of time, undermines my confidence in purchasing from this website (having previously bought several pairs of shoes from this website).

Great overall service. Shoes came quickly and were as describe.
