Consumers also pointed out that customer support completely failed to provide adequate help or responses when serious problems arose during trips. Safety features include verified driver profiles with name, car model and license plate, real-time ride tracking, “Share Your Ride” functionality, and 24/7 in-app support. Passengers can also add custom ride preferences such as traveling with a pet, carrying luggage, or needing extra space — all visible to drivers before accepting the trip. Drivers can view trip details and passenger destinations in advance, choose which rides to accept, and suggest their own price or decline requests without penalties. Driver Feedback

Driver Feedback – inDrive

As a driver, I’m extremely disappointed with the current inDrive system. The lack of proper passenger categories is a major problem. Passengers will sometimes book a 5-seater vehicle for 5, 6, or even 7 people, and you only discover this after driving 5–8 km to collect them. This wastes the driver’s time and fuel.

Waiting times are another issue. Drivers can arrive at the pickup point and wait 5–10 minutes without receiving any compensation. If the passenger doesn’t show up and the driver has to cancel, the money is placed on hold pending an investigation. This puts the driver at a disadvantage.

The voucher top-up system is also inconvenient. Some outlets do not sell the required vouchers, and once a driver runs out of balance, they have to stop working. Bolt and Uber have much better and more convenient payment systems.

Payment problems are another serious concern. When a passenger does not pay, the driver is the one who suffers. Even after reporting the issue, there seems to be very little support or protection for drivers.

PayShap is also not an ideal solution. Passengers often wait until they reach their destination before making payment, which puts the driver in an uncomfortable position of having to ask for payment. In places like Gqeberha, asking passengers to make payments directly can also create unnecessary safety concerns.

A proper card payment system, where the passenger’s fare is automatically deducted and secured through the platform, should be the standard. Drivers need better protection, fair compensation for waiting time, clearer passenger categories, and a safer payment system.

Unfortunately, because of these issues, I will be returning to Bolt and Uber. inDrive has potential, but the current system makes working as a driver unnecessarily difficult and risky.

Drivers Overcharge Customers and…

1 Star | Extremely Poor Customer Support and No Refunds

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with inDrive and especially with the way my complaints have been handled

It has now been one month since I reported a driver who charged me an additional Rs 50 and despite repeated follow ups I still have not received my money back

What concerns me most is the lack of meaningful customer support Every time I contact them I receive responses that appear to be AI generated rather than having my complaint properly reviewed and resolved

Unfortunately this happened again yesterday when another driver charged me an additional Rs 40 even though the agreed fare was already shown in the app

I reported the matter immediately but once again I have received no meaningful resolution

I understand that inDrive may take disciplinary action against drivers but that does not recover the money taken from the customer

After two separate incidents and one month of waiting I have completely lost confidence in inDrive

Customers should not have to repeatedly chase support to recover money that they were improperly charged

Very disappointing experience and I cannot recommend inDrive based on how these complaints have been handled

Dear inDrive Customer Support,

Dear inDrive Customer Support,

I am writing to formally follow up on my previous report regarding a cellphone that I suspect I left inside an inDrive vehicle during our trip from Rockwell to Azure Residences, Taguig, on July 30, 2026 about noon time.

The cellphone is a Samsung Note 8. I reported this matter to inDrive Customer Support shortly after I realized that I may have left the phone in the vehicle. Unfortunately, despite my previous reports and follow-ups, I have not received a satisfactory response or any resolution regarding my missing cellphone.

I stayed in the Philippines for approximately one month and continued waiting for assistance from inDrive regarding this matter. However, I am now back in the CNMI and would like to make one final request for your assistance in locating and recovering my cellphone.

I respectfully request that inDrive review the trip details and contact the driver who transported us from Rockwell to Azure Residences on July 30, 2026, to determine whether my cellphone was found or left inside the vehicle.

Since I am now back in the CNMI, please contact me through the following:

Mobile: +1 (670) 285-1401

I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. I hope inDrive can review my previous report and take the necessary steps to assist me in recovering my cellphone.

i wish there is a 0 star option

i wish there is a 0 star option, a joke of a company like i said in my last review, i work with them , they are promoting Incompetente people who have connection with people with higher positions, and get this , telling everyone else that it is due to that person's hard work, while the same persons, gets all the priviliges, and benefits they did not even ask for, and move them for a senior position, these are the ppl who look after you in the customer service departement, who you think you can trust to submit your complaint or get your stolen money or package, but trust me these ppl will not help you, because they do not know anything about the product , get promoted to a higher position because it was bestowed upon them by their relatives or freinds, indrive mena division is the worst , do not use this app , coming from someone who knows them very well

1 star is honestly too generous.

1 star is honestly too generous.

I have been using inDrive regularly, but my recent experience has left me extremely frustrated.

On 14 August 2026, I requested a ride to work from Katlehong for R189. After the driver accepted, the app incorrectly showed that the driver was already outside my home, when he was actually still about 5 minutes away. The app was showing waiting time, so I cancelled because I did not want to be charged extra because of an apparent app/location issue.

The app told me my refund would be available within 3 business days.

On 15 August, I had another issue. I requested a ride for R201, but after accepting, the driver was travelling in the opposite direction from my home, towards Vosloorus, instead of coming to collect me. My shift started at 23:00 and I was already running out of time, so I had to cancel.

Once again, the app said my funds would be refunded within 3 business days.

Today is 25 August and I am still waiting for approximately R390.

I have contacted inDrive through their website and by email today, 25 August, and I am now waiting for them to resolve the matter.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that these were not cancellations because I simply changed my mind. Both rides involved problems outside my control, yet I am the one left waiting for my money.

I have screenshots and records of the rides and the refund messages.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience. A company should not tell a customer that their money will be refunded within 3 business days and then leave them waiting for 11 days.

I hope inDrive takes this complaint seriously and returns my money.

Drivers demand extra money and support doesn’t help

My experience with inDrive has been terrible. Drivers frequently call and demand more money than the price agreed through the app. When I report this behavior, some drivers falsely claim that I did not pay them. Customer support does not seem to take these complaints seriously or investigate them properly. The app feels unreliable, and passengers are left without meaningful support when problems arise. inDrive needs to hold drivers accountable and improve how it handles customer complaints.

HOSTAGE / SCAM in Egypt

Our first experience with InDrive in Sharm el Sheikh was extremely frightening. We agreed a fare of 200 EGP through the app, but when we arrived the driver suddenly demanded 950 EGP, claiming the fare was per person. This had never been agreed. He made it difficult for us to leave the vehicle, and I had to get the door open so we could get out and flag
Down help . We paid the agreed fare and gave some extra just so we could leave . I have reported the driver to InDrive but they emailed back asking me to complete the online form which is impossible as there’s no drop down for UK/england so can’t complete form . Very disappointing and concerning, especially as tourists are being recommended to use this service. I will report this to my rep who suggested we use Indrive ! I also have a large social media following and will be posting this story on there - SCARY!

Do not Add your bank cards to this App , the drivers will accept the trip just to collect the payment and cancel the trip after 2min ... they have zero intentions to pick you up and the customer support is helping the drivers to keep your money , they will not assist you at all neither give you any valid justification ... refund for customers happens within 30 days , drivers refund is on the same day ... check where their priorities stands !!

Worst customer service

I have been using inDrive whenever I visit Pakistan on vacation for the past few years. Until recently, my experience had always been positive. Unfortunately, one recent trip completely changed my opinion of the service.

During the ride, the driver became rude, we had heated arguments regarding the drop off location i marked and the exact location which is only few meters far in next street. At one point, he threatened me by saying, “This is my area. I will show you who I am and what I can do.” This was extremely disturbing, especially when you are with your family.

I explained the entire incident to customer support, but I felt that they did not properly consider my side of the story. Instead, they appeared to rely solely on the driver’s complaint and blocked the account without conducting a fair and impartial review.

I understand that disagreements can happen, but a customer should never be threatened by a driver, and both sides should be heard before any action is taken. Because of this experience, I no longer feel confident using inDrive. Trust and customer safety are essential for a ride-hailing service, and unfortunately, I have lost that trust.

Severe Driver Fraud, Extortion, and Consumer Harassment (Pakistan ISL)

SCAM & EXTORTION AT ISLAMABAD AIRPORT: Severe Safety Failure by inDrive
I am writing this review to publicly expose a dangerous extortion ring operating on the inDrive platform. After an 11-hour flight landing at Islamabad International Airport (ISL) at 2:13 AM, I was subjected to a highly coordinated financial trap by driver Ali Abbas (Silver Suzuki Alto, License Plate: ALD-307) and the vehicle owner, "Waqas."

The Trap: The driver lured me away from the standard arrival lane to the domestic departures lane, forced me to communicate off-app, and intentionally refused to click "Start Ride" in the app to take my journey off-the-radar and bypass inDrive's GPS tracking.

The Fraud: He falsely demanded an upfront "airport surcharge" of 330 PKR and shut off the AC, lying that I had booked a non-AC ride (which inDrive support text chat directly refuted).

The Extortion: Upon reaching Bahria Enclave, he held me hostage in a financial standoff, manufacturing fake fees of 250 PKR/km and an extra 1,500 PKR entry fee. When I refused to be cheated, the driver called the vehicle owner, Waqas, who instructed him to call the police helpline to actively intimidate and harass me at 4:00 AM.

The Outcome: Exhausted, severely distressed, and trapped in the middle of the night with a child, I was forced to arrange 3,000 PKR in physical cash under immense duress just to secure my safety, as the driver refused to provide a traceable bank transfer.

This incident has caused me immense mental trauma, anxiety, and sleeplessness. inDrive's safety and consumer controls were completely dismantled by these rogue actors.

I demand 100% financial compensation, the immediate deactivation of driver Ali Abbas, and a permanent global blacklist of the owner, Waqas. Do not reply with a generic automated script—resolve this safety breach immediately. (Account Phone: +923018210729).
I have reported the incident with Indrive support team and I expect quick action against these frauds.

Left with disability following ride…

Left with disability following ride with InDrive. Do not use their services. Indrive customer insurance is a scam.
I booked a ride on city to city a 2 hour ride on Indrive it cost me a little fortune.
Car overturned when we got to the next city. Rolled many times. I was pregnant had children in the car.
Suffered severe injuries. Indrive promised to compensate said they needed proof of everything. Hospital records, amount spent etc when they received all the information they stopped responding to emails. I get AI generated emails that say we will get back to you.
It's been half a year. I got the impression that they claimed from the insurance using the documents that i submitted. Their website says you covered by insurance when you in their cars. Promised to help with medical bills never did. Am left with a disability. All emails ignored. No office or human to get support from in South Africa.
Do not trust their service or cars. Do not use them especially for long distances you will be very sorry you did. A shameful scammers hiding behind computers.
