I had cause to complain to the FCA regarding Close Brothers Premium Finance.
In the first insatance I phoned them and followed up in writing. Received an e-mail with a case reference number and the content states "We will not contact you again unless we need further information or have guidence not covered here" To date this statemnent is true as I have heard nothing in relation to my case. So therefore I don't know if any action has been taken by them. So therefore a waste of time.
I also took my case to the Financial Ombudsmasn Service which was a total waste of time as the matter of legal points of law ignored resulting in the FOS siding with the finance company. Had no option but to progress to court. The finance company settled out of court.

It is sad to see FCA stands for nothing
It is sad to see, that any company can get regulate by them, as they clearly never check the company how to see if they follow FCA procedures, so any company can be run how they like, it is only the customer that suffers, I even try speaking to them direct, which was a awful experience, they ask me to quote each policy they don't follow and which point number is in the handbook, really in regards to a company called WISE.
BASICALLY FCA ARE NOT WORTH THE PAPER WRITTEN ON, stand for nothing. As it clearly means any the company can be run how ever they want, FCA will do nothing about to check they follow the company policy.
REGARDS
The FCA & Car Finance Compensation
The FCA should have instructed all the car finance companies to contact their time-frame customers to advise them of refunds of over-paid car prices.
Instead, they have opened the floodgates to allow dodgy claim companies & dubious solicitor firms to jump on the bandwagon to charge prospective clients a fortune for unnecessary claim involvement.
The FCA is supposed to set standards for financial firms and supervise them! The whole project has dragged on for years & looks likely to continue!
The FCA should instruct them to pay out compensation NOW!
The new virtual assistant is extremely…
The new virtual assistant is extremely poor and almost impossible to communicate with. The FCA has always had very good, helpful and knowledgeable staff, but now it seems virtually impossible to speak to a real person.
Instead, callers are passed on to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which in my view is a serious disappointment and does little to inspire trust or confidence in the process.
⚠️ WARNING TO RETAIL TRADERS
⚠️ WARNING TO RETAIL TRADERS – MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE FCA COMPLAINT PROCESS ⚠️
I am extremely disappointed with my experience after reporting serious concerns regarding a forex broker and seeking regulatory assistance.
As a retail trader who suffered significant financial losses, I expected concerns about platform issues, trade execution irregularities, account actions, and complaint handling to receive proper scrutiny. Instead, I felt that my evidence, documentation, and repeated requests for assistance were largely ignored.
The most frustrating part was seeing a large regulated broker continue operating normally while my complaint appeared to receive little meaningful attention. As a consumer, this left me questioning whether ordinary traders receive adequate protection when disputes arise with major financial firms.
Many retail traders believe that regulation automatically guarantees protection. My experience suggests that recovering losses or obtaining meaningful intervention can be far more difficult than expected.
I spent countless hours gathering evidence, submitting complaints, and following the required procedures. Despite this effort, I did not receive the level of investigation or accountability that I believed the situation deserved.
My message to other traders:
• Do not assume a regulator will recover your funds.
• Keep detailed records of every deposit, withdrawal, trade, email, and chat conversation.
• Save screenshots and account statements.
• Escalate complaints through every available dispute resolution channel.
• Conduct thorough due diligence before depositing large amounts with any broker.
This review reflects my personal experience and opinion regarding the handling of my complaint. Other traders should make their own assessment before relying solely on regulatory protection.

Useless service. A complete waste of time.
The FCA are in bed with the companies they are supposed to be investigating Waste of time going to them. Dishonest, corrupt and liars. Wouldn’t surprise me if there some incentives going on. They need to be thoroughly investigated.

The Three-Word Case
I would like to give 5 stars to the FCA as an institution, and 100 stars to one particular employee. The FCA will know exactly who I mean.
Thank you for the exceptional professionalism, respect, patience, and understanding shown during our call.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)…
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) are a complete waste of time and an utter disgrace to Financial Services. A November 2024 report by UK MPs and peers described the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as "incompetent at best, dishonest at worst". How FCA boss Nikhil Rathi had his contract extended by the Government, perhaps speaks volumes of how incompetent the current Government are! The FCA have wasted my time and are not fit for purpose!
THE FCA ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP THE PUBLIC…
THE FCA ARE SUPPOSED TO HELP THE PUBLIC BUT THEY DONT AT ALL. THE MANAGERS DONT HELP AT ALL.I DONT KNOW WHY THE GOVERNMENT ARE FUNDING THEM IF THEY DONT HELP THE PEOPLE. THEY ARE AS BAD AS QUALITY PART X STEVENAGE AND MONEYBARN AND VANQUIS BANK. THEY ARE USELESS, THEY LET THE BULLIES AND CRIMINALS WIN.
I gave one star but it's worse than…
I gave one star but it's worse than that. Read the APPG report published on Monday this week. The regulator has been captured. People are not being supported they are being abused. People are committing suicide. Kindness means more than money. Don't bother with the FCA. It MUST be disbanded.
A total failure
A total failure of an independent watchdog that utter fails at protecting customer’s best interests while successfully kneecapping the motor trade’s ability to provide a clear and easy to understand services for its customers.
Whoever the team or individuals are that make the decisions behind the FCA have clearly never been a customer of the motor trade let alone ever worked in it.
Waste of Government money
FCA failed to act swiftly and…
FCA failed to act swiftly and effectively on a scam/fraud company called b-investor. The scam company later changed its name to ExpertB Ltd. The FCA put out a lukewarm notice about the tactics of this scam company which was not officially registered but the FCA failed to act to protect the public from this scam/fraudulent company. You can see how lots of innocent people have lost money on the Trustpilot reviews for b-investor and ExpertB Ltd. Therefore I would suggest that the FCA is complicit in the actions of the scam fraud company. Shameful

Another organisation with no teeth to do anything but to let dodgy debt companies keep running.
Spoke to a man this afternoon who was utterly useless. Kept referring to his handbook to rubbish everything I was saying.
He thinks statute barred debts are enforceable.
They will not help you but will not do anything about debt companies like a dictatorship. Don’t waste your time
Terrible recruitment experience
The FCA use Hays for their recruitment. Hays are simply terrible. Sandeep is a time waster.
I took the morning off of work, had to push for it to be paid leave as work wanted to make it unpaid. Went to an IN PERSON INTERVIEW, had to do a case study plus 1:1 interview. Had to chase Sandeep multiple times for an update and still now, months later, he has not provided one. Why waste people’s time like this? Terrible company.
