Provide VIN details or incur expensive return costs
After entering my car details their website confirmed the item would fit my car but the item delivered did not. So, I attempted a return to which they agreed but I had to meet return postage costs. It was apparently my fault they supplied the wrong item and that I should have checked with them first and provided a VIN number! Upon enquiring whether they did have the right item they said it was only available from the main dealer. This was incorrect as the item is freely available from other suppliers in the UK. I only ordered from them as I was on holiday in France and the item is easy to fit. Anyway, by the time I would have incurred return postage costs (France to Poland) I would have ended up with a refund of around 20% of the original cost as there seemed to be other deductions. Big lesson learnt here - if you use Autodoc do not rely on car information you enter on their website. Send them VIN details - but even then they got it wrong for me! I may have the item for sale on eBay when I return! In the meantime I have ordered the correct item from a UK supplier.

Ordered a door latch for a mk4 golf
Ordered a door latch for a mk4 golf , website had part with original part number unfortunately the part is wrong .
I’ve tried and tried to contact auto doc ( can’t send the part back as the bott doesn’t recognise my email which is correct ) , used chat and was told to email auto doc fr , can’t be delivered,
Tried uk email , no response.

Disgusting customer service
I orderd a right hand brake part , they sent a left hand part.
So I asked to return it. I have been told that they want me to pay to return the part they sent to me when the error is obviously with them.

Worse customer service ever
Worse customer service ever. Was bombarded with fb adverts for them, so thought i'd give them a go. Placed an order, payment went through, then later got an email saying it had been cancelled. So tried again placed a second order, cancelled again. Live chat says it reserved the right to cancel orders if for example they believe them to be fraudulent. Told me they couldn't process my payment but also that they were organizing a refund that would take up to 4 days - feels like they are the scanners, not me

wrong suspension arms!! honda civic tourer I-Dtec
I’ve just ordered two control arms with ball joints fitted.
The control arms fit perfectly, but the shaft end of the ball joints is about 2 mm too thin.
In short, they can’t be fitted.
I’ve asked Auto Doc to exchange the ball joints for the correct size. The ones delivered are unused.
I checked on the website using the registration number and VIN to make sure everything was correct.
On top of that, Auto-Doc states that they fit all Civics from 2010 to 2016.
I’m not going to go to the trouble of removing the control arms again, especially as they’ve already been fitted.
The ball joints, however, haven’t been fitted – I’ve removed them from the control arms.
Auto-Doc takes the extra costs customers have to bear far too lightly
when the wrong parts are supplied.
And they refuse to exchange the ball joints for the correct ones.
I’ll never buy from here again…
And one more thing… don’t buy oil for your Honda gearbox here, because even after 25 years they still don’t know!! that you can’t use ordinary 75w90 or anything similar in it,
and your gearbox will end up in a right mess!!

They are helpful every time a screwup happens but it just takes a lot of time to speak with them, to resend the items and receive them etc... My 4 stars is more like a 3.5 stars rounded up.
