On a four hour flight

On a four hour flight, costing 1000 plus dollars, you at least expect basic human hospitality like being offered water. Not with Arajet. You have to ask for it yourself.

And then there's the baggage. One checked bag included, when most airlines give you two as standard. Stingy with baggage but I didn't think they'd also be stingy with the water.

My carry-on is standard size it fit perfectly fine on three other airlines during this same trip, no issues at all. On Arajet's first leg, crew had to force it into the overhead bin. On the second leg, it didn't fit at all they had to take it and store it themselves.

Both flights also left later than scheduled. An apology doesn't make up for the time lost.

Then my suitcase came out with a broken wheel after Arajet handled it, no damage from the three other airlines that handled the same bag on my trip.

Stay away from this airline. Hainan airlines did me dirty with delays too but at least the hospitality and professional customer service of their crew makes up for it. Arajet's service crew makes you want to puke!! The way how they addressed u as Miss! In a in a tone that feels sharp and unnecessary just doesn't do it for me.

Arajet is a tricky company.

Arajet is a tricky company.
1. Unauthorized Merchant Currency Swap: transaction was initiated and authorized in Canadian Dollars (CAD). However, Arajet reveals that Arajet unilaterally switched the settlement currency to US Dollars (USD 414.26) on their backend post-authorization on the next day.
2. The Resulting Overcharge: Because Arajet forced a USD settlement onto a Canadian consumer booking a flight out of Toronto, my American Express account was hit with an unapproved foreign exchange inflation, bringing the total debit to C$591.57 on my statement.
3. Valid Contract Cancellation & Merchant Ghosting: My ticket tier included a flexible cancellation feature. I exercised my right to cancel this itinerary by sending three separate written notices on April 9, April 10, and April 13, 2026. Arajet has completely ghosted all communications, it even failed to send me a standard booking email confirmation of my purchase what made me go online the next day to discover that they changed the currency from CAN$ to USD$.

Never Again.

Horrible experience. No real answers from customer service and my family member has been stuck at the airport for almost 24hrs. They are not transparent with their customers and they haven’t given him the service he paid for. They’ve refused to cancel a flight because they’ll have to return money for flight tickets, but keep stringing people along saying the next flight and the next flight also gets “modified.” If they have to push back a flight for more that 3 hours they should let their customers know with ample time so that this never happens again. There should be a better policy for delays and cancellations also. Not just a $10 meal voucher that doesn’t even cover a meal at the airport.

The worst experience ever!!!!!!!

The worst experience ever: my brother flew Bogota - Punta - Toronto, and the company delayed the flight in consecuence my brother lost the conexion to Toronto. He was advised in Bogota that in Punta Cana airport Arajet will provide assistence with accomodation. He landed at Punta Cana's airport at 10 p.m., and no one was advised of his situation, so he waited until 3 a.m. of the next day, and no one assisted him. So he walked away and now he is by himself in Punta Cana, waiting for a seat for the next flight. This company does not have consideration. They do not care about people. Please do not used it.
This night was a nightmare for me, barely slept 1 hour in overall, because I was concern about my brother. This is insane!!!!!

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Arajet. My flight was canceled, and the communication and customer service were frustrating. The lack of clear information made the situation even more stressful. I expected better support and a smoother process. I hope the airline improves how it handles cancellations and keeps passengers informed in the future.

Worst airline experience

Every flight was delayed for a long time. My trip from Bogata to Newark was delayed over 8 hours with an overnight stay. They wouldn't put us in a hotel and during those 8hrs of delay no information was provided. Do not fly with them.

Not worth the cheap prices

I would give Arajet 0 stars if I could.

This has been one of the worst airline experiences I've ever had. Their customer service is practically nonexistent. It doesn't matter which number you call, you're always told the wait time is 15 minutes, and getting through to an actual person is nearly impossible.

To make things even worse, they never informed us that our flight was delayed. The delay lasted the entire day, and we only found out because we called the airport ourselves. Arajet never sent an email, text message, or any other notification. We were eventually told we had to board at 10:45 p.m., but that information came from the airport, not the airline.

As I'm writing this, we're still waiting for the flight. The most frustrating part is that this trip is for my wedding. This is one of the most important trips of my life, and Arajet has added nothing but stress and uncertainty.

Do not, and I mean do not, book with Arajet. Spend a little more money and fly with an airline that values its customers, communicates properly, and provides reliable service. Saving a few dollars is not worth the frustration, wasted time, and complete lack of professionalism.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Arajet — poor communication and customer service

My girlfriend and I flew Arajet from the Dominican Republic to Newark, NJ on July 9th. Our flight was supposed to arrive before 11:00 AM, but while we were in the air we were informed that due to weather conditions we had to divert to Boston.

We completely understand that weather issues are sometimes out of the airline’s control. However, the way Arajet handled the situation was unacceptable. After landing in Boston, passengers were left sitting on the plane for almost two hours with no updates or clear information. Once we were told to leave the aircraft, there was no Arajet representative available to explain what we needed to do next.

After almost three hours in Boston, we still had no clear solution. Customer service by phone was unable to help, and passengers were left frustrated and confused. We eventually decided to rent a car for $170 and drive four hours to Newark ourselves, plus an additional $50 to extend our parking because we did not arrive as planned.

Other passengers also reported receiving conflicting information about departure times and vouchers, only to later find out the flight was canceled.

The weather was not Arajet’s fault, but the lack of communication, organization, and customer support was. This was my first experience with Arajet, and unfortunately it will be my last. I cannot recommend this airline.

Overall was a positive experience.

I had concerns because of some reviews I've read but our experience was pleasant. Had no problems checking in. Except when departing, their online system wasn't working for us but we were able to check out at the airport. Other than a delay on our first flight...both flights went smoothly. I would fly again but next time would purchase the higher package. Staff and service was fine also.

Don’t chance your life with AraJet…

Don’t chance your life with AraJet “Circus” Airlines

I’ve been travelling via commercial Air for more than 50 years and the last 10 years every two months.
I decided to give this new airline a try……..
I can confidently say I’ve never been on a more incompetent airline in my life.
Let’s start with how they don’t even have an App in these modern days.
Their website has no problem reserving you a flight and taking your money but good luck when it’s time to check in and good luck getting a digital boarding pass.
Yes! you still have to stand in line 3 hours before with the guests checking large suitcases just to get a paper boarding pass.

Let’s go over their achievements:
-untrained staff with no customer service ✅
-over selling seats ✅
-asking you not to put on your seatbelt yet because they are fueling the plane while full of guests ✅
-leaving a hour late because they’re waiting for another late AraJet flight ✅
-charging $$$ for everything possible under the sun ✅ but hey they even take cash for your convenience
-hardest seats of all the carriers I’ve been on ✅
-smallest measurements for cabin baggage of all carriers ✅
-worst 2 landings I’ve been on ✅
-food ? I don’t know as I decided I would never give this flying circus another dollar of my money.

Do yourself a favour and pay however much more it costs to fly with any other carrier before risking everything with this joke called AraJet

Arajet was the absolute worst airline I…

Arajet was the absolute worst airline I have ever flown. I flew from Newark to Santo Domingo on July 3. The trip out was ok, but the return trip on July 9 was the worst. We were supposed to return to Newark, but due to weather and traffic there, we were flown to Boston Logan Airport instead.

Not even airport staff could help us. Don't airports know what's going on with airlines that use the airport? The flight attendants were not helpful either. They didn't even offer me so much as a cup of water. They had nothing for us and were just as lost as we were, seemingly. Very poor, non-existent communication for the passengers. (Not acceptable)!!!

We ended up spending the night in Boston from a 6:49 am departure flight. This took all day. Before leaving the plane, no one told us where to receive our luggage; we didn't receive any communication about what was next. We were promised rooms at a local hotel for the night, and that didn't happen.

With children in tow, we had no room after being promised one, no food; people spent the night at the airport. The whole situation was so unprofessional. They didn't even tell us what time the flight would be in the morning. The whole incident went on for too long. Only after we started raising hell did they bring the plane from the other side of the airport and put us on it.

We were treated like stepchildren. They didn't care anything about us. We were told lie after lie. The pilot seemingly dropped the plane on the runway. The plane swung back and forth from side to side like a pendulum before finally touching down on the runway. I deserve to be compensated for my pain and suffering. I will never ever fly Arajet again. It's a miracle we got back in 1 piece!

I want my money back. #Worst flight ever!!!!

Avoid this airline at all costs its not…

Avoid this airline at all costs its not worth it. I booked a round trip and I had to cancel 1 flight to leave earlier because I had a family emergency. They would not give me flight credits or cancel my flight and I called 2 weeks before the flight. I basically lost my money for that flight and had to book a different flight with jetblue. Most airlines I tried give you flight credits if you cancel and you pay the difference arajet does not and they have the most expensive luggage on the market $75 dollars.

Don't fly with this airline

Don't fly with this airline, spend a few more and have the security of getting where you need to be surely. They are not responsible with time, it's impossible to contact them and if you do they don't give you soutions. I'm writing this while I'm stuck at the airport because of them. No one at their counter, website doesn't provide the boarding pass and the reervation doesn't come up with the passport at the airport machines. DON'T FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE...AVOID IT !
