Can anybody tell me me if their Ampler app is working? Mine has stopped and I can’t access bike!
Love the bike. Got scared by the app – it basically stole the bike from me by refusing me to access my own bike one day ...
App version 1 was great.
App version 2 lost many great festures.
Then app version 2, release 3.x completely broke the connectivity, erased all data, … in one word: Broke the trust I put into the Ampler company!
(edit:)
Support reacted well to my first post here, and solved the issue for me. Rating changed to 3*.
My Ampler Curt is a brilliant commuter companion - it rides like a performance road bike on steroids - it's light and fast. With the belt drive it is completely hassle- and rattle free. The design is timeless with no useless, gimmicky functions - just exactly the essentials needed to ride every day to work and back. As a plus it is so much more fun than driving a car or public transport - even in winter.
I bought a Stout bicycle from this company for almost €3,000, which, based on my experience of using it, is not worth even half that amount. For that money, you don't even get the simplest engine power control on the handlebars. After updating the software, if it is not very successful, the next update may only be available after a while. The description of the bike on the website is full of lies. For example, they write that when the electric motor is turned off, the bike will ride as easily as a regular bike, which is completely untrue, and it is very difficult to ride. The description mentions one type of tires, but you get a bike with completely different ones. After the bike warranty expired (which is only 2 years) and 6 months passed, my bike no longer turns on. Their customer service is worthless, trying to sell you another expensive item instead of giving advice, such as a charger.

I bought an Ampler Kurt in 2020. Ir appeared to be a fantastic bike... until I punctured the tire. I wanted to replace the original Bontrager tire with a Schwalbe anti-puncture tire. This one didn't fit. The next tire I tried, also a 32-622 Schwalbe tire, but less stiff, didn't fit either. I'm starting to hate the bike because of the thin, deep rims, while I can quickly and easily fit a tire on any other bike. Never again an Ampler for me! I never expected tires to be such a big problem. If I had known, I would never have bought this brand.

Nova Pro is my third Ampler bike - started with the original Hawk and then upgraded to Curt. With those two bikes I rode over 30 000 km without any major issues. looking for another worry free 10 000+ km on my new Nova Pro. Great bikes.

The worst customer service I have ever received by far: after ordering and paying for the bike in early May I was hoping to receive the bike by midsummers bu past flew all the promised deadlines from June to late September and Ampler customer service did not give any clear answer to my inquiries about where the bike is and if I may come to pick it up myself but only received long pointless marketing e-mails instead. Finally I received a phone call from a random number with a random lady scolding me that I do not respond to my emails about how to receive my bike. So the bike finally arrived just by the time the summer was over with a toolkit to assemble the final parts by myself. No letter of apology that might have been appropriate.

I’ve had my Ampler for over 7 years now, and it’s still serving me incredibly well. My daily ride is 13 km one way to the city and 13 back (well, not so daily recently because it’s getting colder, more like once a week), and the bike has been nothing but reliable. I also take it out on day trips with my family every once in a while, we all on bikes, and it handles just as smoothly on longer runs, whether it’s asphalt, gravel, or forest roads.
What I appreciate most is the reliability, the boost and the look. Honestly, all bikes should look as good as an Ampler. I almost never use the app, it’s more of a “flip it on and hop on” kind of bike for me, which is exactly how I like it. I also like the feel and the looks when passing by sports guys on their fast road bikes with ease on my Stout.
I have to say, the new models look great- love the colors and the USB charging option. But I wouldn’t trade mine in. After so many years together, this bike has really grown on me.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylish, dependable ride.

This is the best bicycle I have ever ridden. It has a comfortable hand position and is very economical. It's great for commuting to work or enjoying a smooth, fun ride, with a pleasant humming sound from the gears. I am really very satisfied with my Ampler.

My Stellar looks fantastic and rides wonderfully! I’m very happy with the bike overall. Considering the road conditions in Tallinn, it might be worth considering a version with some suspension or shock absorbers to better handle the bumps and uneven surfaces. On smooth roads, however, the biking experience is absolutely superb!

Not only does Ampler build great bikes, they're also very good at providing customer service!

The bike meets my expectations exactly. It's only been a few rides, but it's a lot of fun. A bike without frills, solid and comfortable for everyday use. When riding the Stout without motor support, there is hardly any difference to my old, conventional bike. Appearance, low weight, handling and above all the price-performance ratio inspire me. What remains is the question of reliability. Time will tell.

Simply clean. Beautiful. Classy racing green.
Big smile here. What else should I say?
Anyone who is looking for a two-wheeled SUV with huge motor, massive frame and many inches of suspension travel should look somewhere else.

Excellent customer service! Replied within an hour to all my requests and also granted me a discount for because of a small communication error they made.
Ampler Axel is an amazing bike!

I’m giving these 5 stars as much for the service as the bike, a Stellar. Erik patiently answered my millions of questions before and after receiving the bike. Then later when I owned it, I had my phone go kaput and not be able to unlock it, Katinka and the team went above and beyond, making multiple efforts to remotely decouple the bike, where I live in an area with spotty cellular signal, until at last they succeeded.
And the bike? It seems, like a fine wine, to get better with age. Whether riding in the bike friendly streets of the Netherlands or the less so ones in France, the bike is a confident, nimble partner, making getting around an enjoyable journey.
Little details I’ve come to appreciate:
The headlight is perfectly bright, illuminating for some distance, yet it’s angled in such a way so as to not blind people coming the other way, or cars I’m behind.
Its paint is quite durable, mostly shrugging off any dings, save the fender’s long suffering scrapes entering the narrow alley behind my house 😆
I haven’t done any of the recommended maintenance (shhh don’t tell Ampler!) and it runs just as good as when it was new, the tires looking and functioning just as well.
It’s a handsome ride, the assist just right, feeling like an organic amplification of your own effort, making you want to ride and explore more. Worth every penny, this bike is.
The one tiny bit of feedback I have is the bell. It’s feeble, fairly quiet and largely useless in any environment, whether busy or quiet.

Stout is a wonderful bike, very smooth and easy to handle. I enjoyed the ride from Zurich to my hometown in Zurich Oberland.
