What a shambles

I ordered some garden furniture on 28th September 2025, this was due for delivery on 8th October but never arrived. I contacted customer services who told me it would be delivered on 10th October. Again it never arrived. I contacted customer services again and was informed the item was delayed and still at the warehouse. I then received an email on 14th October to say the item was on its way and would be delivered by 8th October.... travelling back in time! I contacted customer services again to ask what was happening and have now been informed that the item is out of stock so have been issued a refund. What a shambles!

Customer service is non-existent and their vouchers don't work

I recently bought 2 vouchers for The Shard through Wowcher. When I tried to book the vouchers didn't work. It said they were invalid. I followed all the recommended steps to rectify this to no avail. So I contacted customer service through WhatsApp. They said they would contact the vendor. Then I just never heard anything! I contacted customer services again as planning my birthday weekend away was put on hold until I could book The Shard. They were absolutely atrocious. My questions were just ignored, they asked if I wanted a refund to which I replied 'could I not just use my voucher'.... then they just gave me a refund without answering my question. In short, customer service is non-existent and their vouchers don't work. Don't waste your time and money.

Edit: their reply below is a shining example! Literally no attempt to rectify. I just wanted to use the voucher!

The case is really well made

The case is really well made and fits the phone perfectly. The colour I wanted was clear/white round the edge and there was only black in stock. But I still love the cover.

Car rental cost £90 more than advertised

I used Zest car rental on a recent trip to Corfu. The paperwork said that someone would be there to greet us from our flight at arrivals from Acarent. No one was there so we waited around 30 minutes and then rang the local office. Around 20 minutes later someone arrived.

On arrival at the local office we were expecting to pay a €35 late return fee as our flight was at 6am. We were told this could not be done, despite this being pre-arranged through Zest. Zest customer service then became involved. We were then asked to pay €60 by Acarent and were assured by Zest that this would be sorted if I email a copy of my receipt (which I did the next day). I've been back two weeks and still have not been refunded the difference.

I then had issues with my deposit not being fully refunded (-£70!), I think, due to the method it was taken/refunded. On previous car hires abroad with other companies the money was 'frozen' and never actually taken from my credit card. This time the money was taken out fully and refunded, except somewhere along the way the amount differed and I'm £70 short of the €1100 taken. This my third time hiring a car abroad and the first time this has happened.

In summary, the whole process delayed the start of our holiday by at least two hours. The car hire itself ended up costing around £90 more than advertised. And once you're home communication from Zest customer service is zero. I wouldn't recommend at all.

Update: Since my original review I've received the refund due from Zest. I'm not sure whether this was off their own back or because I complained to Barclaycard about the transaction and they were investigating. If Zest would like more feedback, there was no mention of the 28 day wait after I returned from my holiday that they've stated in their reply. If they had said this to me I'd have waited and perhaps my feedback would've been slightly better. The guy that dealt with me on the day of the incident was really helpful. But the people who dealt with it afterwards did not keep in touch or ask me to wait 28 days, it was only me ringing them up that provided me with any updates.

Careful with delivery charges

The clothes i really liked and kept. But I'd put enough in my basket for free delivery, when i got to checkout one item was removed and i wasn't given the option to carry on shopping and was charged for delivery without realising. It wasn't clear that that was going to happen and i would have bought something else given the choice. Thankfully I'd tried the dress on in a shop also so i knew i needed the next size down. I've had to order in a size 8 and I'm definitely not an 8, the sizings are way out in my opinion. I do absolutely love the dress and top i bought though.

I'm sorry to hear that you were not able to check out one item from your most recent order.

When an item is low in stock we do not reserve stock - this means if another customer completes checkout first they will receive the item. Any out of stock items will be removed from the basket before payment is requested and the full price you are due to pay will show before you are asked to pay.

Ordering and delivery straightforward

Ordering was really simple and delivery was fast!

I love the hairdryer, you can tell it's really well designed and I'm convinced it makes my hair feel nicer. It's obviously a tad expensive for a hairdryer, which is the only downfall. The device itself is brilliant.

I love this brand

I love this brand, the products are great. I love the style, the linings and the plentiful pockets! I love the story behind the brand as it's really inspirational. Really happy now they have a good returns system too as sometimes their sizings are a bit out. The only reason this is not 5 out of 5 is the clothing is, in my opinion, designed for men. The cut of the clothing fits men very well but women less so. I still love the clothes i have bought and wear them all the time, but would love to see the clothing made specifically for women for a better fit.

I went in to this store about 6 months ago and Danielle showed me all the options available on the sofa I have purchased. I wasn't ready to purchase at the time, but have been back in to buy the sofa today. Danielle went above and beyond to help me on both occasions and I'm highly satisfied with the customer service received.

Excellent service

I recently ordered a number of items online for collection. When I got home I noticed one item was missing, obviously with recent issues I'm sure there are some teething problems so I'm sure no one is to blame. I phoned the store back to report this and the young gentleman i spoke to was extremely helpful. He kept my missing item to one side and said just to phone when i got there and the item would be brought out to me to save me having to come back in the store. He couldn't apologise enough. Excellent service despite the missing item.

Be careful using your mobile phone to order

I tried to order with my mobile phone this weekend and having gotten half way through and going back a couple of times I ended up ordering 3 bouquets accidentally. There was no basket to view or cost until right at the end so it was hard to tell. I'd already pressed ok before I realised that the cost was high. Thankfully this was resolved through customer services, but they could improve the function of their website on mobile phones so it is more clear what you are ordering. Also it would be useful if there was a 24hr customer service due to mishaps such as this. The customer service was good and the flowers themselves I'm assured were lovely.
