My questions were answered quickly, COMPLETELY, and in a way that was extremely easy to understand. The response came from a real person; not some AI app, and the person was friendly, helpful, and eager to ensure there weren't any follow-up questions or concerns. THIS is the way customer service should work!!!

It took way too long for the process with many mistakes. It cost a day in time for every mistake and the employees reported frustration with administration not wanting to fix IT issues.

They are terrible! They not only gave the seller the deposit but sent the FULL payment to the seller when they sent title, but the car had not even been scheduled for pick up yet. WHY would they pay in full for something that was not in process to pick up. Do Not use Caramel, us Key Savvy. Can always reach a representative, they hold title and payment and only released when is has been confirmed being picked up. Don't deal with all of the Caramel BULL!

I sold my car about a week ago. The pickup still hasn't happened. Two days late as of this review. Also, no money has shown up in my bank. At a loss. I recommend you don't use DRIVE CARAMEL.

My buyer (through Ebay) choose them and it has been a nightmare. I had to send documents multiple times. Once they said they had everything I had to wait on the buyer to go through their cumbersome process. Using their label I overnighted the title to them and it's been sitting at their pickup location for the third day and shows still not picked up by them. What is the point of overnight delivery if they are going to let it sit waiting to be picked up for three days. Meanwhile they sent my buyer a temporary Texas license plate for a car he does not own yet due to title sitting in a pickup location. We are 8+ days not since the buyer purchased and I do not have my funds. Their response is "we know you are frustrated and we are working as fast as we can"

I am a licensed and bonded California Dealer in the same location for 23 years. Before Caramel we have sold thousands of cars through eBay in a safe a secure fashion. Now, when someone places a deposit on one of our vehicles listed on eBay, Caramel sends a gratuitous "invite" to opt into their "protection service".
The language they use implies that unless they opt in this transaction is somehow less safe. My recent customer fell for this veiled threat and signed up. He financed the car through a third party and eBay was quickly paid.
What followed was 9 days of endless re-signing of contracts because Caramel either doesn't understand or comprehend, basic corporate structure, or simple DMV contracts via Doc-U-Sign. In addition, Caramel made multiple requests for information that was already provided twice which made the process that much longer and frustrating.
So, as of today, 9 days later; eBay has full payment from our customer's lender, title to the car which further delays our duty to complete transfer in a timely manner, customer demanded delivery of the car which is his right because his bank paid eBay. AND most importantly Caramel has not released our funds.

The process was a little intimidating at first but it turned out to be fairly simple and very efficient.

I did receive payment for the vehicle I sold. But the process was totally unclear and confusing. Every day, for weeks, I received an email saying payment was "in process." There was never any clear explanation of the what was needed to complete the transaction. Both seller (myself) and buyer were baffled. We muddled through and got it done. But there needs to be a much clearer explanation of the steps and the sequence during the transaction.

Prompt, real human support. Easy way to facilitate an automobile transaction.

As a first-time user, I found the post-auction handoff to Caramel unintuitive and confusing. During the process, the system automatically selected an in-person pickup option that I did not intend to choose.

Finding support was difficult, as contact information was not readily available and required two emails to your team to obtain. Furthermore, when I spoke with the Caramel representative, their dismissive attitude was unprofessional.

To improve the user experience, I recommend conducting human factors testing with new users to better clarify task dependencies. Additionally, adding a help page with post-auction scenarios would greatly improve clarity for future buyers.
