🚀 From delivery to orbit: our SCOT80 (Long Range) has reached its next major milestone. Following its successful delivery, the SCOT80 (Long Range) has been integrated into the GPS #Satellite “Hedi Lamarr” and successfully tested. Since April 20, 2026, the #Satellite has been in orbit at an altitude of around 20,000 km above Earth – taking TESAT #OpticalCommunication technology another step into the operational #Space environment. The image below shows our SCOT80 mounted on the #Satellite in its launch position – ready for its journey into orbit. 🌍✨ For #TeamTESAT, milestones like this are a great reminder of what it takes to turn advanced technology into reliable solutions for real missions: engineering excellence, close collaboration and technology proven for space. And the journey continues. 🚀 A big thank you to Lockheed Martin, for kindly granting us permission to share this image. #SpaceMatters

🚀 Successful launch of MTG-I2 – congratulations to EUMETSAT, European Space Agency - ESA, Thales Alenia Space, ARIANESPACE, Centre National d'Études Spatiales, OHB SE and all partners involved! With the launch of Meteosat Third Generation Imager-2 (MTG-I2), another important milestone for Europe’s next-generation weather satellite constellation has been reached. TESAT is proud to have contributed to this ambitious programme with Modulators for the payload and through our Parts Agency. From 2011 to 2018, TESAT acted as the Coordinated Parts Procurement Agent (CPPA) for Meteosat Third Generation, procuring electronic components for the scientific instruments and satellite platforms of four MTG Imager satellites (MTG-I) and two Sounder satellites (MTG-S). The numbers underline the scale of this effort: 🔹 Around 1,800 different component types procured and tested 🔹 More than 200,000 individual components 🔹 Components supplied for 22 different equipment types and companies MTG-I2 will help deliver weather data with unprecedented detail. Its instruments will continuously monitor lightning and rapidly evolving weather systems — supporting European weather services, particularly in the nowcasting of severe weather events. 🌍⛈️ We are proud to have played our part in building the technological foundation for this important European mission. Congratulations to everyone involved – and all the best for MTG-I2’s mission! 🛰️ #TeamTESAT #Space #SpaceMatters Image of MTG-I2 © EUMETSAT

#TeamTESAT #SpaceMatters #BMFTR
