Zillow has 1.3 stars on Trust Pilot for a reason; it's a terrible website for both sellers and buyers/renters for a myriad of reasons. AVOID USING ZILLOW.COM AT ALL COST. Look at all the bad reviews here; don't waste your time and money and be another victim. LOOK ELSEWHERE or pay the price!

Absolute garbage. It's amazing how it's impossible to reach any phone/chat human related to any kind of issue here in 2026. Shameful.

FSBO listings and owners lie about their description of properties. I looked at one in person with an agent and was not told it was tenant occupied. It also had a description stating that there was new flooring, paint, appliances and everything updated. A girl answered the door with her dog. Inside the place practically everything had been destroyed by her and her dog. Disgusting and she lived in a messy kept home. I have found that sellers want a ridiculous price and then state demands like bringing proof of funds, how much money they require from the start, it's being sold "as is" yet high dollar price. No updates from the last time the homes were sold, the owners will not paint or improve anything to sell it. You are expected to have cash on hand and they expect the buyer to pay their agent commission if you use one or they say they might pay half of that commission. Don't trust FSBO because it's no different from using a realtor because they lie about everything to make a dollar just the same. It's always all about money with everything nowadays.

Zillow doesn't allow negative feedback on realtor !!!!!

Outdated listings. Be very cautious! You will lose your money and information... Other sites usually have the same listings with more accurate info. Zillow is a scam magnet DO NOT TRUST!!!

Annoyances
1. Why do the result cards not have a consistent interface. They show me different things for each property. It's incredibly annoying.
2. Zillow goes out of its way to make contacting Zillow to report listing errors difficult or impossible. This is an extremely profitable company and they could easily afford to support a feedback or 'report listing' mechanism. Typical greedy company trying to cut corners unnecessarily.

It is unacceptable that Zillow continues to display photos of my home that are approximately 10 years old while giving a verified homeowner no reasonable way to update them or remove the property from the platform.

I understand the need to prevent fraudulent or misleading photo submissions, but Zillow is a well-established technology company. There should be a secure verification process that allows an actual homeowner to ensure their property is represented accurately.

Instead, Zillow is knowingly allowing outdated information to remain public while denying the homeowner a practical way to correct it. That is a poor customer experience and reflects badly on the platform.

This experience has significantly reduced my trust in Zillow, and I have no intention of considering Zillow for any future services unless this policy changes.

I'm a landlord, hired zillow to rent out my single family home. They failed to collect security deposit + pet deposit $3000 and gave the key to tenant. Kept on following up up to 1 year, they could not collect the deposit, and didn't do anything about it. Their portal now shows "settled" incorrectly.

Waste of money, time.

The worse experience where you pay and the people work for them denied to do them job. I wish I can show the conversation I have and the awnser they provide.

I left an honest negative rating twice on a realtor, but Zillow removed the negative feedback. Zillow is cooking realtor ratings by not allowing negative ratings on realtors. The realtor I left a rating about actually stole jewelry from a house I was going to hire them to sell for me, but Zillow doesn't want you to know who it is putting you at risk if you hire this realtor.

Terrible experience. Wanted to work with an agent in the mountains/ Andrews NC area. First agent NO RESPONSE. Second agent- initial response and then no further response. Third agent initial response and three followups to my request to converse via email and not phone/text- and then NOTHING. 9 DAYS AGO. I sent several follow ups to third agent, the last being on July 25- and still nothing. I provided a list of homes we are interested in and even dates we were available to drive to the mountains/Andrews area and look at them. Started July 15 -two weeks and three agents later- not a peep from Zillow about being able to view these homes. Discouraged and disappointed. Are Zillow agents really so busy they can't take the time to do their job and reply or at the very least confirm receipt of email? Guess so. I'll find a realtor with another company.

Wish I could give 0 stars. zillow has become an oligopoly, and just keeps consuming more and more. They are a jack of all trades, master of NONE. They should have stayed in their lane.
Their 'zestimates' are inaccurate, leading the consumer to feel they know what their house is worth.
They have ZERO customer support, and no one can help you.

I recently listed my home as "For Sale by Owner" on Zillow. For years, the public Zestimate for my property consistently ranged between approximately $360,000 and $372,000.

After Zillow contacted me to offer its professional services, I declined. Shortly afterward, I noticed that the Zestimate no longer appeared on my property's public page. Instead, the page displayed an outdated tax-assessed value of $309,000 rather than the current assessment. I cannot say whether these events are related, but the timing raises concerns for me.

I also attempted to list a vacant parcel through Zillow, but the listing has still not been published. In addition, the property page displays the price I originally paid for the land as its value, which I believe could be misleading to potential buyers.

I'm sharing my experience because I believe these issues deserve an explanation. I intend to report my concerns to the appropriate consumer protection agencies if they are not addressed. I hope Zillow will investigate these issues and ensure that all property owners receive fair and consistent treatment.

The item arrived late and didn’t match the description at all. Really disappointing, especially for the price.

I tried to list my home for over a month now with them and nothing has happened.

Zillow has allowed a review to be posted about me that is a total lie. I am a realtor and take a great deal of pride in servicing my clients. The review states I owe them money. That is a lie and should not be allowed to be posted on their site, according to their own guidelines. The person is not even a client of mine. After reporting this to them, they still left the review posted and told me to get more reviews. Something needs to be done about Zillow's review system to stop defamatory reviews.

Terrible customer service.

Zillow sucks. Customer service is terrible. Unresponsive to emails.

The most horrible company to do business with! If you have an issue with the leads or listings, it is impossible to get any help or support and get a live person. The phone numbers listed do not answer and when you are prompted to be directed to the right support team, the message received is “I didn’t”t get that” How is this company still in business??
