My experience with Offerpad has been absolutely terrible. What should have been a straightforward home sale turned into an unnecessarily stressful and frustrating process because of poor communication, changing information, and a complete lack of consideration for me as the seller.

First, Offerpad changed my closing date about a WEEK before closing. I had already made plans and arranged everything around the original closing timeline, only to have the date changed at the last minute. When you’re selling a home and coordinating a move, changing the closing date with only a week’s notice can create a major problem.

Then there was the issue with my appliances. I was told that I could take my appliances with me. I made plans based on what I was told, and then suddenly I’m being told that I can’t take them. How does that happen? If the appliances were not allowed to be removed, that should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. You shouldn’t tell a seller one thing and then change the rules at the last minute.

And then there’s Stewart Title, which made this experience even worse. Offerpad works with Stewart Title, and the communication from Stewart Title was absolutely unacceptable. As the SELLER of the home, I should have been kept informed about important issues affecting my closing.

Instead, I found out about an expensive bill from the past just TWO DAYS before closing. No timely warning. No phone call. No proper communication. Nothing. I’m sitting there two days before closing trying to figure out a major financial issue that should have been brought to my attention much earlier.

I shouldn’t have to be the one constantly trying to figure out what is going on with my own home sale. If there is an issue that could affect my closing or the amount of money I’m receiving, CALL ME. EMAIL ME. COMMUNICATE WITH ME. That is literally your job.

The entire process has felt like one problem after another, with information changing at the last minute and different parties failing to communicate with each other. Meanwhile, I’m the person who has to deal with the consequences.

Offerpad needs to seriously improve its communication with sellers and do a much better job making sure the title company and everyone involved are actually on the same page.

Selling a home is already stressful enough. You should not have to spend the final days before closing scrambling because the companies handling your transaction failed to communicate.

Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Offerpad. One star is honestly more than I feel this experience deserves.

Our experience with Offerpad was great! I was a Realtor for 30+ years. Mom’s medical needs prohibited us from selling her home ourselves. Offer was more than I expected

My original representative was Terry O’Connor. He is a hidden gem within the company. Terry was responsive, kind, and went above and beyond to get us under contract. He answers the phone and/or returns calls same day. He answers emails street hood actual working hours to ensure that matters are not left unaddressed. I truly wish that OfferPad would allow agents to work with the same representative throughout the transaction (all the way to closing). If I had it my way, I would choose Terry every time.

Offerpad was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish! Natalie stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process, keeping us updated every step of the way and making sure everything that needed to be completed was handled quickly and efficiently.

Although I ultimately chose a local buyer, I have to say that I was very impressed with my rep, Aracely, from Offerpad. She was moving the heavens and earth to get me what I needed, while giving me lots of advice. My choice ultimately came down to convenience for me and my husband, otherwise we would have sold to Offerpad. It was a very positive experience for me and Aracely is a huge asset to Offerpad. Using a company like Offerpad is a great convenience factor so you can sell on your timeline. The final price you get is what you get (assuming no MAJOR repair needed that comes up after the final price). The post-possession option is great too!
