I had an excellent experience chartering a catamaran with Kavas Yachting from Athens in July.

From the very beginning, the entire team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. A special thank you to Sophia, whose proactive support, responsiveness, and attention to detail made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Her assistance was outstanding even before we asked for help, which is something you rarely encounter.

The technical team also deserves special recognition. Both during the check-in and check-out procedures, they were professional, patient, and extremely helpful, making the handover efficient while taking the time to explain everything clearly.

The catamaran was exceptionally well prepared, impeccably clean, and maintained to a very high standard. Everything on board was in excellent working condition, allowing us to enjoy a flawless sailing holiday from day one.

A warm thank you as well to our hostess, Efi, whose kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude made our trip even more enjoyable.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Vangelis Kavas. His commitment to customer satisfaction and the high standards of Kavas Yachting are evident throughout the entire experience. It is clear that he has built a team that genuinely cares about its clients and delivers outstanding service.

I have chartered yachts with several companies over the years, and Kavas Yachting ranks the very best. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-oriented charter company in Greece. I will certainly be back.

Terrible experience with this charter company: unfair commercial practices and brutal behavior toward Skippers and Crews.

These people will suck money out of you for every possible reasons. They will be agressive verbally and physically when you try to push back even if you are in your right - and will draw from your deposit without permission to maintain their boats. This appears to be a standard practice at Kavas Yachting.

Be ready for intense confrontation, abusive behaviors by the body guards of the owner, and get a good insurance if you want to charter with Kavas. There is little you can do except call the police, that seems somewhat uninterested…

Charterers must be warned that they are not be dealing with fair or transparent business operations.

The worst company I ever have rent a boat.
Very old boat, not clean at all. But the worst thing, in the and in the checkout they charge us broken window which we did not broken! They charge us 300 eur. We complain, they just took our money from the credit card. Terrible services in general, really very bad experience.

The experience was absolutely horrible. When we arrived we were notified that they accidentally doublebooked which caused us to be forced to stay in a worse boat for the same amount of money. The boat literally looked like it hadn't been cleaned in YEARS I wish TrustPilot would let customers upload photos so terrible companies like this can be exposed easier. We waited for hours on the phone with customer support demanding we get a part of our money back because of the severe downgrade but there was no success. At last, they offered a small discount if we use their services again as an "apology" but you better be sure that we won't after the way we were treaated.

Terrible experience with Kavas Yachting.
When we arrived they ask for 120eur to do checking earlier then 5 pm. We have paid and they offer us to go shopping with their car to a cheap supermarket! This supermarket was very expensive! Even paying taxi and going to another supermarket you should save a lot of money. Finally they gave us the boat at 3pm !!! So we saved 2 hours! The boat was unclean with many not functionals equipment. The second day the fridge was broken and we sail to nearest marina to wait somebody to come to repair the fridge, we lost all day. The third day the motor broke down. They took us to the same marina and we wait again all day to repair the motor. They told us to pay the repairs and they will refund the money when we got back to base, but then refuse to refund the money us promise. On top of all this in the end they charge us for cracked window which we never broke! It was just too much. It was very strange to us that they charge us for that window so we wait another boat what they will charge them and they charge them also a window!!! They told us they did not broken it either! Is a trap, if you rent a boat with this company, check every details, especially windows. We think they have the windows cracked, nobody check it and finally they take money from you for this cracked window! The other people told us they have paid for a stairs which they do not broken! Is was really terrible experience. Never ever rent a boat with this company. They are not fair at all. Charging for everything and sucking money from you when they can.

Terrible experience. Last minute downgraded boat, which proved to be unclean and tired, with multiple items of equipment not working. They kept us waiting for hours at the marina and demanded cash for all local services. The skipper had no yachting papers and no charts and tried to change our well planned route to suit himself!

If you want a stress free holiday, professional service and the boat you booked go elsewhere!

Kavas Yachting is the key for successful sailing holidays in Greece.
What I strongly recommend in my sailing holidays is a clean and well equipped boat. Kavas covers my needs by providing brand new and well equipped boats.
This is the reason I am a repeated client.
