This same Airtasker support…
This same Airtasker support representative marked my ticket as “Solved” even though my concern was never resolved.
To be clear, I submitted a ticket regarding this concern. I later checked the ticket status and found that it had been marked as solved without any proper resolution or satisfactory response. I would like to understand how a support case can be closed when the issue raised by the customer remains outstanding.
The response time was also unreasonably long, and the handling of the matter demonstrated a lack of proper review and analytical assessment of the information I provided. Instead of addressing the actual concern, the ticket appears to have simply been closed.
I asked another Taskers on the group their experience regarding this and its been the same

Hi Al, we understand your concerns regarding the Tasker fee. Your service fee for each task you offer will be calculated according to your current tier. The higher your tier, the lower your fee. The service fee can range from 12.5 to 20% of the task price. Tax is also added to the fee. The website said we would negotiate…
The website said we would negotiate with the handyman what the charge would be so I put in my max amount. The handyman kept all 200.00 for 15 minutes of work. Total robbery

If you're not happy with the offers you receive, you can negotiate with Taskers in the comments or wait for more offers. There's no obligation to accept an offer unless you're happy with the amount.

It was my first time using Airtasker
It was my first time using Airtasker in August. It went really well. A fast and very efficient gardner did a great job. Just make sure you check profiles with evidence of work done and good reviews. Will use again for other odd jobs.
