If I could give this company 0 stars I would! The products they sent me were very poor quality and did not match the pictures from their website. They advertise that they have "easy returns" but when you request a return they state that you have to pay the very expensive shipping fee to return the goods to their warehouse in China. They dresses were ill fitting and made of poor quality fabrics, which is inconsistent with their advertising. They are not located in Boston, which is more false advertising.

They have different websites in different countries, pretending they are local businesses. The orders are processed in China, you cannot return anything (despite their so called policy) and if you contact them you get the same robotic replies like they're mocking you.

For everyone who made the mistake of ordering and getting goods that are nothing like on the website, initiate a chargeback with your bank and provide proof, and report them to Shopify!

I wish I could select 2.5. Item received was hideous, cheap, not sure who or what it would have fit. I was offered another item in place of a refund and have been charged $10. They will not refund and will not accept return. I am hoping I can turn the original item into something wearable. And hoping the 'replacement' item looks as good as it did in the website.

I ordered a dress from Lucy & Porter in "Boston". Imagine my surprise when I received a cheaply made polyester dress without tags!! Even though the dress was ordered in my usual size, it was small so I sent an email requesting a return. I was told they don't return because of the shipping charges involved so they offered to send me a larger size for $10. Fool that I was, I took them up on their offer and the second dress that I received was still small. I wear a size 10. So I have received medium and large sizes that are still too small! The company is a scam masquerading as a legitimate business in Boston. I have learned when you buy clothing and it has NO TAGS-- BEWARE! The second rate manufacturing is done in China and the consumer is charged an exorbitant fee for a product that cost $2 to make. I would discourage anyone from ordering from this company. It is unfortunate that today we have business owners that take such advantage of consumers.

This is a terrible website. It is not located in Boston. The items are coming from China. I received a very cheaply constructed dress that did not look anything like the photo. The material is a very cheap, see through material that is mismatched in spots. It looks like a child put it together.
They do not allow returns. They claim that returns are sent to China and it would cost more than the item to return it. At best they offer a 10% refund.
It is a scam and they are taking advantage of people. Please do not purchase from this site.

DO NOT ORDER from this company! Their clothing is cheap and the material is terrible THEY DO NOT HONOR REFUNDS They might offer you a 20 or 30% refund but you will never receive it!!! SCAM

DO NOT order anything from this site. Biggest scam!!! They make you think they are US based when they are not. Clothes are cheap quality junk from China and returning is near impossible unless you want to send it back to China at your own expense. They will tell you to keep the item and start giving you a discount on ordering another item starting at 10% off and keep going up from there.

I ordered 4 dresses and 2 tops and I am trying to return them .
No address to send . I’ Am getting the run around from the website. Won’t accept pictures, won’t let me submit for a refund or email I’m sending . I’m losing $300 .

This company is a SCAM. You won't get a refund. The quality is awful.

Claimed to be cotton but were cheap polyesther and colors were notas pictured. Called for a shipping return and was told the max refund was 30%.

I received my order and the dress did not fit. The site dimensions were wrong. When I tried to return they gave me a real bite and switch offering me 10%, then 20%. And finally 30% to keep the item. It doesn’t fit and I wanted a refund but they claim to send back I need to pay shipping to china. Their ad promotes a family run business with the word Boston below the company name. This is not a reputable company!

I was brushed off numerous times to return a dress. Their warehouses are in China and I settled for half of my money back.

Clothing is not as it appears. Material is not described on website. They claim "60 Day Money Back Guarantee" and do not offer it. When trying to return a top that was not as it was pictured and way too large, they said the return shipping would cost as much as $90.00 since it had to go overseas.

Do not order from this company! Dress material is not what their website pictures shows. When I tried to return the dress, this is their response, "we would like to offer a replacement option instead of a return. You may choose a different item, even one of higher value, and we would only ask for a $10 shipping fee per item". I'm going to try a credit card reversal and see what happens.

Also they keep changing the website name. It has been Lucy & Porter, Ellis and Porter, Lucy's Boutique, etc.

The dress I ordered was cheap fabric and cheap construction. It was too small, and when I tried to return it, I got nothing but offers for me to keep it and get a 10% refund. IT WAS TOO SMALL! They make it impossible to get a return/refund without enormous hassle.

They are a big-time scam. They promise full money back guarantee in case of return, and they fight you over the return. They say you need to return overseas, which will cost a lot of money and refuse to return the item. They keep arguing with you to send you a return of maybe 30% max of the dress, which is very little in the case of some dresses if you buy an expensive dress. The quality is terrible in addition to their food customer service. They don’t have a phone number you can contact, it’s all my email. They claim their business in Boston and obviously they’re not.

Nightmare. Sent a small instead of medium and said I needed to pay to return the item. The clothing was of extremely poor quality and I saw the same thing I paid $60 for on Temu for less than $10.

I ordered 2 dresses, totaling over $111, and just received them today. What a ripoff! Cheap Chinese synthetic fabric. Fabric easily cost less than $10 for both. I should have known better. Lesson learned!
