I had multiple accounts and, despite some initial effort, was unable to identify the source of the problem. Allan Rivera resolved it through truly outstanding customer service.
Allan took the time to understand the issue, investigate it carefully, and resolve it in a very timely manner. He first addressed everything he could based on the information available to him. More importantly, when I had follow-up questions, he listened patiently, continued looking into the matter, and ultimately helped resolve the issue in full.
That, to me, is exceptional customer service—taking ownership of a problem and staying with it until it is fully resolved.

I've been using OtterAI for almost a year. Even though by now it should be able to identify the usual speakers (less than 20), but it doesn't always. Even though the speakers' voices are very different, it sometimes mashes people together or separates one person's continuous speaking into separate lines of 2 or 3 words. I updated this review after buying TurboScribe. Although otter is less than perfect, Turboscribe is much worse. Gave me perspective. Otter will start to identify speakers over time and does summaries. TurboScribe does none of that. Turboscribe doesn't see rate speakers. But you will have to do lots of editing.

I submitted a ticket as Otter requested as only fair, but I don't think Otter can change how it works. And I don't think I'll be renewing when it expires next week. Will go back to transcribing on my own. I'm think otter will get better, but I'm guessing with the increasing energy costs of AI it will be unaffordable to me. Is pretty steep now for what I use it for as a volunteer on Social Security!

I had an unexpected annual subscription renewal and was quite worried when I saw the US$239.88 charge. I contacted Otter.ai Support, and Jennifer was incredibly helpful and understanding.

Although their subscriptions are generally non-refundable, she kindly made an exception, issued a full refund, and immediately cancelled my subscription.

The whole issue was resolved very quickly and professionally. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and Jennifer’s help in getting this sorted out.

Support was helpful. I like the tool. but there is a sales feature that pulls your team onto a paid plan sort of in the background which took me a few months to figure out and dig into. sort of a bummer. SUpport was good.

I originally left my review because several useful features were broken or removed, and I listed 8 specific issues affecting my daily workflow. Otter responded by asking me to submit a support ticket and document everything for them again. I did not receive a meaningful response to the issues I described, and the problems are still there.

What is especially strange is that, instead of seeing these issues addressed, I’ve now noticed four new positive reviews praising Otter’s service and customer support. Given the timing, I find that rather difficult to ignore. I obviously cannot verify how those reviews were obtained, but they certainly do not match my experience.

My experience remains the same: the product has become less reliable, the issues I reported remain unresolved, and the response from Otter was essentially to ask me to do more work for their support team.

As part of our neighborhood organization, a few years ago, we started a project to record oral histories of people who lived in our area. We recorded several interviews and used otter.ai to transcribe the recordings. Since our not-for-profit is all volunteer, people got busy with life and others moved away. We hadn't been able to use our subscription, which automatically renews every year, for over a year. I wanted to cancel our subscription before the annual renewal, but wasn't sure how to do that successfully. I contacted otter.ai support. Within a few hours, Ricardo, one of the support folks, contacted me, has arranged to cancel my renewal. And noticing that we hadn't used our account for several months, graciously arranged to refund our recent renewal, which I was pleasantly surprised about since we understood the non-refundable policy.

The Otter customer service team promptly addressed my issue to my complete satisfaction. I frankly did not expect it to be resolved so swiftly. Their response tells me that they are committed to excellent customer service.

It’s a complicated system at least for me. But unquestionably they care about their customers and do what they can to make things right. If you’re considering a product in this area, this is the one to go with.
