already took it on a rocky trail. what stood out first was the twist locks actually holding instead of slowly slipping like my old store-bought pole. the grip felt a little firmer than i expected, but the balance in hand stayed natural on climbs and loose downhill sections. adjusted it twice and never had to fuss with it again once set.
