Recycled my iPhone with Ur.co.uk and told to wait 30 days which I was fine with. Now they emailed me telling me it will be 9 months before I see my money. Unable to get my phone back at this stage.

Sent a google pixel phone in July still havent got paid but got an email back to say that i wont get paid till 22/09/2027

Is there anyway people who have gone to trades union can react to this so I can see how many others have done it or can say if they got their money back? Surely there must be enough of us to be able to get this company looked at! They won’t even give me my phone back

Sent my device on the 7th August, was posted to them on the 10th August, a price was agreed on the 12th August. I still haven't received my payment. They have replied to my email saying that I will receive payment on the 30th October 2026. I'm appalled at the length of time this is taking to be resolved. Wish I never used this service. Please don't use them - use another provider.

Sold my phone to them in May. I reluctantly accepted a lower offer in June. I was told on the 14th June that my payment was being processed and would be within 7 days. I was then told 25-30 working days. I have complained further and told them I won't get my money until 17th September 2027. Over a year from now and 16 months from originally selling them my phone. How is this even legal? Avoid.

I confirmed the sale of my device with them on 19th July, and after sending an email complaint over the weekend they have responded that my payment is due to be paid on 6th August 2027! Ha. What an absolute scam of a company. They probably pray on people forgetting about the funds, but I absolutely will not be waiting that long for a payment and I am currently looking into legal action. I wish I'd have read reviews beforehand. They even still advertise my payment status as 14-30 days after completion! So they do not tell you anywhere that they're facing a "backlog" which of course is not true. Scam company. Do not use at all!

Sold my phone, they ask you to wait up to 30 working days for payment, now the payment date is set for August 2027!! Over 12 months after I have sold the phone with no option for them to return the phone, AVOID!!!

Avoid this company at all costs. My trade-in transaction commenced in May, and I accepted a revised valuation shortly after. Buyur Ltd has now held my physical device for months without transferring the legally agreed funds, constituting a fundamental breach of contract.

Their operational practices lack any transparency. In June, I received an automated update claiming my payment was in the "final stage of processing" and would arrive within days. This was completely false. During a phone call in August, customer service attempted to force me into an unagreed 4-part installment plan, which I declined. I was reassured an email communication regarding this delay would be circulated to customers (including me) to provide an update. It never arrived.

They have now completely disabled their customer service telephone lines to evade accountability and repeatedly claim they "cannot return" devices. If a business retains your high-value asset, refuses to return it, and refuses to pay you the agreed sum while their website still actively accepts new devices for resale, it is a massive red flag.

I have issued a Final Notice Before Legal Action and will be recovering my debt externally through the HMCTS Money Claim Online system, alongside registering a formal complaint with UK Trading Standards. I would strongly recommend that everyone currently being ignored by this company takes these exact same legal steps to force a resolution.

Do not trust them with your devices.

Absolutely awful service. I have been waiting months to receieve the money for my phone.
They no longer have a phoneline, probably because it was overrun with complaints.
This is the first time i have used them and I never will again.

Delivery delayed but communication was good.

Scam company, do not sell with them as they do not pay. over 3 months now I am waiting for a payment and tehy keep ignoring you. I will report to the relevent authorities.

Beware if you are thinking of trading in your old phone.

My experience so far I accepted a revised offer on 20 July and so far still not received the payment despite receiving infrequent emails notifying me the payment is nearly complete.

If you want hasslefree recycling of your old device avoid this company!

I sent phone in Jul had email of revised offer i accepted and 31 july had email saying payment in "final stages"

Now september no payment and several emails saying they have a backlog (thats a them problem not a me problem) latest email yesterday says payment due aug 2027 - outrageous
