It is wonderful to know they are effectively blocking out those frustrating footstep noises from upstairs so you can get the restful sleep you deserve.

We completely understand that they are an investment, and we appreciate your honest feedback regarding the price. Since you mentioned they occasionally fall out at night, you might want to try experimenting with the next size up (S) just in one ear, or giving the earplug a gentle extra twist backward when inserting it. Sometimes a slightly different adjustment can create an even stronger seal that stays secure all night long.
