AVOID!
⭐☆☆☆☆
Avoid Stellantis Coventry and Salford, and whatever you do, don’t waste your money on the warranty. You’ll probably end up paying for the repair yourself anyway because claiming on it feels like an Olympic sport.
Within TWO WEEKS of buying my car, the engine management light came on. The fault? An oxygen sensor.
From that moment on, it was like watching a masterclass in passing the buck. The customer service was honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced, and I genuinely got the impression nobody at Stellantis knew what the process was or who was actually supposed to be dealing with it.
Stellantis Coventry didn’t seem to know what to do, so I was told to contact Stellantis Salford because it was my local dealership.
The first person I spoke to in sales actually laughed and said, “Ha! That’s why you should’ve bought it from us, not Coventry.” Imagine saying that to someone whose car has developed a fault after less than two weeks. I genuinely thought he was joking… turns out he wasn’t. 😂
Then the service department couldn’t fit me in for over a month before casually telling me I’d probably be better off going to an independent garage anyway because they “only deal with Peugeot.” Wtf 😵💫
So… what’s the point of buying from a main dealer exactly? How they can even sell this warranty with a straight face is a joke.
And then there’s the SPOTiCAR warranty…
What an absolute masterpiece of marketing.
You’re sold this wonderful idea of “peace of mind”, but the minute you actually need to use it, you’re sent somewhere else. Then you find out SPOTiCAR decides what the parts should cost (cost value) and what your mechanic is worth and will only pay £25 an hour for labour.
£25 an hour… in 2026. 🤣
If anyone knows a garage that genuinely charges £25 an hour, please let me know because I’m fascinated to see how they’re still in business. I’d imagine the kettle costs more to run than that.
The result? I had to pay for the repair myself because no garage wants to work for labour rates that belong in another decade. Whether I’ll actually get reimbursed remains to be seen, but based on the experience so far, I’m not holding my breath.
Trying to challenge the decision with SPOTiCAR was another waste of time altogether. If you’re expecting helpful customer service, lower your expectations… then lower them again and again.
The only blessing in all this is that I didn’t waste even more money on the extended warranty. That would’ve been throwing even more cash into the same black hole.
This whole experience has been a complete shambles from start to finish. Passed from dealership to dealership, told to wait over a month, then told to go somewhere else anyway, and left paying out of my own pocket despite having a warranty.
If this is what Stellantis calls aftersales support and a warranty, I’d rather keep the money in my own bank account. At least I know that’ll still be there when the engine management light comes on.
Do yourself a favour and avoid to start with.
