It'll give the car about 0.5kWh before losing Grid CT according to app and terminal. Then I try to restart it and Zappi claims my car is fully charged when it has 2 miles of range. Back outside into the rain I go to unplug and replug it, for the same to happen. I'm just glad I didn't buy a fully electric car and my PHEV can use petrol given this useless kit can't give me power.

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues and understand how frustrating it must be, especially when you're relying on the charger and repeatedly having to reconnect it.
From your description, it sounds as though the issue may be related to the Harvi losing communication with the Grid CT, which would explain why the Zappi is reporting a Grid CT fault and stopping the charge. This can sometimes occur if the Harvi is too far from the Zappi, or if there is wireless interference affecting the communication channel being used.
Based on the symptoms you've described, this does appear to be more likely installation or communication related rather than a hardware fault with the Zappi itself. The fact that charging starts before stopping when the Grid CT is lost would support this theory.
The good news is that there are usually ways to work around this. We would recommend raising a support ticket via support.myenergi.com so our team can investigate further and advise on the best solution. This may involve relocating the Harvi, changing the wireless channel, or reviewing alternative installation options to improve communication reliability.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and would like the opportunity to help get your system operating correctly again.
